“New York businessman Charles Reed Bishop married Bernice Pauahi Paki of the royal House of Kamehameha in 1850. Their descendants would play a major role in Hawaii to the present day. Charles Bishop, through the Bishop Trust, built a number of buildings at the elite Punahou School, where Obama attended. The Bishop Trust also funded the Bishop Museum for whom Obama’s mother briefly worked as a Javanese history specialist...

So you weren’t pulling my leg when you wrote this comment:

You were leading into:

President Obama’s grandmother, Madelyn Payne Dunham, the woman who actually raised the future President of the United States, served as the vice president and chief escrow account officer for the bank of Hawaii at an interesting time for the CIA’s murky operations in the 50th state. Dunham retired from the Bank of Hawaii in 1986 but not before a massive financial network was exposed in 1983 as a result of the financial failure and Internal Revenue Service investigation of a major CIA proprietary headquartered in Honolulu, Bishop, Baldwin, Rewald, Dillingham and Wong (BBRDW), the Bishop being a member of one of Hawaii’s landed gentry families and one that both Madelyn Dunham and her husband Stanley, as well as their daughter, Stanley Ann, had past interactions...

My humble apologies, please continue.

wiki:

On October 25, 1960, the University of Hawaii signed a grant-in-aid agreement with the State Department to establish and operate the East–West Center, and received its first installment of $1.1 million in federal funding on November 8, 1960.[7]
University of Hawaii art professor Murray Turnbull served as interim director and acting chancellor of the East–West Center through 1961,[8] when anthropologist Alexander Spoehr, the former director (1953–1961) of the Bernice Pauhi Bishop Museum in Honolulu, was appointed as the East–West Center’s first chancellor, serving for two years before resigning at the end of 1963.[9] University of Hawaii president Thomas H. Hamilton served as acting chancellor of the East–West Center for a year and a half from January 1964–June 1965.[10] In July 1965, he was succeeded by former newspaper publisher and diplomat Howard P. Jones, the former U.S. ambassador to Indonesia (1958–1965),[11] who served as chancellor for three years before being succeeded in August 1968 by linguist Everett Kleinjans, the former vice president of International Christian University in Tokyo, who had lived in Asia for sixteen years.[12]

When Jones was chancellor of the East-West Center, he wrote an article for the Washington Post, dated October 10, 1965, in which he defended Suharto’s overthrow of Sukarno. Jones was “invited” by the Post to comment on the Suharto coup, described as a “counter-coup” against the Communists. Jones charged that Suharto was merely responding to an earlier attempted Communist-led coup against Sukarno launched by Lt. Col. Untung, “a relatively unknown battalion commander in the palace guard.”

Thinking, this needs to be looked at from the point of view of how many bags of salt do we need to bring along:

There’s a certain writing style employed to great effect by the old Fleet Street journalists, which can tie any number of fantastic events together and turn Santa Claus into the Devil. It’s a trick of seamlessness one has to learn to be useful to the tabloids. And it works.

But if you read that paragraph carefully, there’s no there there. None that I can see. So she retired three years after the fiasco. She was working in a Bank. They might have crossed paths but ‘past interactions’ are like saying I’m a crook because I lived in the same street as a burglar who used to mow my lawn.

I’m not the slightest bit impressed. This guy belongs on one of Murdochs ‘newspaper’ rags. My 2 cents FWIW. The truth remains banal as always.
