There’s no predicting what a jury will do.
But whatever the George Zimmerman jury decides, Trayvon Martin’s parents have gotten justice for their son.
Sabrina Fulton and Tracy Martin have forced the entire nation to look at the harm racial profiling can cause.
Young black males die daily in urban areas across the country, and many of the people who are responsible for the deaths never set foot in a courtroom, let alone stand trial.
These young black males are killed while standing on corners and riding buses. They are gunned down while sitting on porches and walking home from the corner store.
Frankly, if Trayvon had been killed during a confrontation with another black person who lived in the same gated community where Zimmerman lived, I doubt that so many people outside the boy’s family would have reacted as strongly as they did to Trayvon’s death.
But black people are weary of fighting the battle for equality on so many fronts.
It is bad enough that so many unarmed black males have been killed by law enforcement in recent years, but the idea that a self-styled watchman has the right to confront a 17-year-old simply because he didn’t like the boy’s looks was too much.
When the dead teen’s parents started a petition on Change.org demanding that Zimmerman be arrested, more than a million people signed.
So while prosecutors argued in closing arguments that this case wasn’t about race, it was very much about race.
Zimmerman is a white Hispanic and Trayvon was black, and the age where in some places black males are feared and loathed.....

I agree! Even though they and their enablers in the media were wrong to racially profile Zimmerman and make the case what it was, it certainly has been a lesson for anyone willing to learn from it.
7+ hours...hung jury or manslaughter...sigh.
Where’s a barf bag when you need it? The racist in this instance was Trayvon Martin. These people are so warped!
Hung jury wouldn’t be so bad....I doubt the county would want to embarrass themselves by going through a repeat of that fiasco.

Unfortunately, that reality goes against the liberal narrative that innocent-as-the-driven-snow black 'youths' are threatened on a daily basis by angry white racists drooling with anticipation as they stalk black people they can murder with impunity. There’s a darn good reason for profiling... and yes most of the killers are “same race” and never go to trial or are even arrested.. Time for the black community to clean up it’s act and start ACTING WHITE.
I swear, this fixation on this word “profile” drives me nuts.
I “profile” when I choose between hitting either McD’s or Chick-fil-A for lunch.
I “profile” when I look at different women.
I “profile” when I read the news each day.
Screw this “profile” crappola.
It’s about “choosing” based upon past impressions and experiences.
If the White-African-Americans have a problem with “profiling”, it’s their own damned fault.
George Zimmerman had a right to follow Trayvon Martin. He had a right to accost Trayvon Martin (I don't think he did, but he had a right to).
Trayvon Martin had no right to punch George Zimmerman in the face, however.
We constantly hear "Trayvon Martin committed no crime" - if he punched George Zimmerman in the face because George Zimmerman followed him or talked to him, he absolutely committed a crime.
So Zimmerman called the cops so they could be on their way because he was going to shoot and kill a young black man for no good reason? If you’ll believe that, you’ll believe Barak Obama is a good president.
Mary Mitchell is very wrong. All Americans have the right to "confront" strangers in their neighborhood. Trayvon Martin did not have the right to initiate violence against George Zimmerman, and if he had gone home or replied peacefully, he would have survived.

Sometimes it’s not about innocence or guilt. Sometimes the jury tries to impose “fairness”.

Young black man did not like Zimmerman following him, so he decided to violently and physically attack him...
He picked the wrong person to assault...
It was not about race when the shot was fired.
Except that the dead man called Zimmerman a creepy-ass cracker, but was automatically forgiven for that racist remark because he was a member of a government-approved specially-privileged minority victim group.
It became about race when the media saw the opportunity to widen the divide and cast Blacks as an everlasting victim group, and Whites as everlasting oppressors.
Now it has become a symbol, and is no longer what it was.
The media, the race-hustlers (including obama and the ‘justice’ department) are to blame for any bloodshed that happens.
I’m right. The left is wrong.
These black victims are overwhelmingly killed by other blacks. Clean your house!!!
