There is no evidence that Mitt Romney, or his father, or any Romneys, love the United States of America.
You’re right, it was a bit over the top for me to state declaratively that Romney loves his country.
There are three possibilities: a person either loves the USA, hates the USA or doesn’t really know (understand) or care.
The third type (which is what Romney is if he’s not the first type) can be made to go either way, especially when it helps his cause.
