I agree with your closing statement that Romeny should be treated like any other candidate. I am sick of the double standard in this country. It has been practiced for so long, most of us don't even realize we are using it ourselves. Why is it non-offensive to ask, "Should I vote for a Mormon," but it would be completely out of line to ask, "Should I vote for a black person," or "Should I vote for a woman?" The answer is very simple. It would be considered wrong to ask the last two questions because we would be expressing doubts about a protected class of people based upon their race or their gender. Everyone knows that, in contrast to the protected classes of people, it is open season on any religion which has a connection to the Judeao-Christian concept of God. Even if you aren't Mormon, you should be offended at the question. Romney being a Mormon has no more to do with his ability to govern than Obama being black of Hillary being female. I voted for him in MA too. He didn’t impress me with his ability to deal with the entrenched corruption in this state, so how can I expect him to effectively cope with the scum that he has to encounter on a global basis?

His “religion”, such as one might refer to it (rather than as a “cult”), has nothing to do with his ability to be president!!!

For instance when Imanutjobiden visited Harvard, he smoked out the Dems by order State Police not to provide security.

When the tunnel roof collapsed, he seized the opportunity to fire Fat Matt, forthwith. Only his legislative buddies had allowed him to cling to office.
