This isn't about "Christians promoting ID, therefore ID is Christian". This is about "Christians admitting to promoting ID as a means of promoting Christianity". That was the argument used, and that was one of the reasons for the judge's ruling.

I am ordained clergy in a major mainline denomination. I admit to promoting republicans because they align better with my beliefs.
Does that mean that the republican party is a Christian initiative?
