The beligerance of the Aruban government spokeman was outrageous. He stated that Aruban police would not be allowed in the US to conduct an investigation. In other words we are not going to allow the FBI to help with our investigation.

I was letting the call for the boycott of Aruba slid by me, but not anymore. I am so pissed. I just ran up to the 7-11 and the cashier was talking to another customer, carrying on about how he spoke 3 different languages and that Americans only spoke one.

Oh I let him have it. I told him it only required one language to send him back from whence he came. And that his 3 languages had gotten him very far behind the counter cashiering at the 7-11. And then I got the opportunity to tell him well you might speak 3 languages but you do not understand english very well because that is not what I asked you for (the items that I was purchasing.).

I guess I better stay at home before some other foreigner has to be subject to my wrath.

We only NEED to speak one language anyway.

Besides, back during the Roman Empire, Latin was the language that all would learn, if they wanted to get ahead. Today it's English that is learned by anyone who wants to succeed. We don't need their languages. They can keep 'em.

(Although I've studied several languages myself, as many of us ignorant Americans have, I'm sure.)
