Didn't answer my question directly, but since I cannot speak freely of the death merchants in society -- peace I'm outta this circle jerk for the self-described sane and open-minded freedom of speech loving inhabitants of this SBR thread.

It's all in what kind of effect you want to have. Clearly, using emotionally charged launguage like 'death merchant' is on par with using a term like 'baby killer' or 'jackbooted thug'. It doesn't lend to rational discussion, but instead seeks to provoke another emotional response.
But, I would be interested in discussing the idea with you. The idea of a 'death merchant', i.e. one who would profit over someone's death, seems illogical, since there's much less money to be made off of the dead than the living.
(On a related note, I work in what you could call a 'death industry', but we don't profit off of the dead. In fact, we lose billions of dollars each and every year.)
