Morning John, feeling the nip in the air yet? It's getting right nippy in the early mornings here in SC.

Not that old Ha! Just have a good memory.. Also remember the vegatable man comming down the street with a horse wagon also.. Did a lot of fly fishing with my grandfather in the summers, he used to have brook trout for breakfast.

Spent time on a local farm seemed like fun then but as I think about it now it was work but I did learn a lot about what it takes, and learned to really love animals. Got my first rifle when I was 9 or 10 and have been shooting ever since..

I remember our family vacations well. My Dad was a little scarey to drive with because my Dad was a great believer in the fact that if you just told little kids to wait a little longer before getting to the rest rooms, little kids could do that. Some times he cut it kinda close!

That was some cross country adventure. You all went from coast to coast and even had a close encounter (with a crab) in the Gulf. That was also back before the highways were crowded with 18 wheelers the way they are now.
Brought back some memories of trips that my family took in the 60's.

When I was older I got to be the "READER" of road signs...

Thanks for the reminder. Who can forget those roadside signs?

Beautiful thread! Nice work.

We, too took a Chevy vacation. We toured the islands and Florida cruise style. Here are some pics:

Your parents are to be commended (((((((Diver Dave)))))) for embarking on a trip like that with so many little ones to care for!

Commended and thanked. We managed to survive without any fights beyond who gets to sit by the window. :)
