If it gets serious enough, with thought crimes, they will simply Epstein us, and not bother with trials at all.

They’d really be wasting their time monitoring us 😂

True. Time wasting is pretty much all this site is for nowadays. If the guys in Fort Meade are indeed paying attention to this place, well, they're not sending their best.

“Have you suggested this to the Mods? It might be a good idea.”

I have mentioned it many times over the last couple years. I got “absolutely not” in return. And I am sure they are right about this advantage, but they want it open for lurkers who never log in but do read the public side and donate. Completely understandable ideology.

But we have come to a new time in the evolution of the internet because of persecution and even legalities with certain speech and ideology. Thing is, there is also a sacrifice when folks are afraid to even log in and participate. There comes a point when folks say “If I can’t participate and safely speak freely why should I donate or participate?.

The questions become at what point does one greatly outweigh the other? Which is the most secure option for the domain it’s self and the members who come log in and participate to keep it going? I know one thing, I have spoke with a LOT of folks on the side who are now afraid to come and participate because it is a huge public billboard to be persecuted against by the government.

“If it gets serious enough, with thought crimes, they will simply Epstein us, and not bother with trials at all.”

Unfortunately it is now easier than that for them. They will just “digitally” cancel us. We live in an open air prison and they will simply just deny digital access to the commissaries, services, and financial system.

Same difference...

You have to have a thick skin to post. It’s not for everyone. I get “roasted” a lot for being a little critical (see tags in some threads i.e “GFY Randfan”!). It’s not always a pleasant experience.

That said the donations are justified since I spend free time here and use resources. I have always chipped in for years now

With the FISA renewal, and big problems along the way of tossing President Trump into prison, simple common sense tells us the CIA/FIB/DOJ is setting the groundwork to ‘Eff over President Trump this coming summer/fall.

They may not need to, but they will be ready to prevent his inauguration by any means necessary.

You and others contribute in even more important ways. Without the personal effort to post main articles and participate this place would be dead... This is just as valuable as financial contributions if not more.

Have you read my history? I think they put up with users like us because we do spark conversation and increased participation when things are slow. Controversy naturally increases participation. And participation is most important value in the whole for a domain.

If not then you only have five politically correct “good old boys” left to participate and donate. And without participation you even lose lurkers out on the public side too. You have to get their interest and give them something to read. Hopefully it will draw them in and they will log in and participate also because they “just have to comment” on something controversial. :)

Important note I have to give credit for. I have noticed overall they have allowed more free speech and ideology here than they used to a couple years ago. The mods used to micromanage the topics and dialog pretty strictly to keep it within politically correct boundaries. This helps participation and interest more. To the dismay of those who think speech should be heavily controlled and moderated. Over micromanaging topics and speech is extremely self defeating and unproductive for the domain it’s self... Looks like someone finally figured that out... No worse hypocrisy than wanting free speech and then complaining because there is free speech. It is counter-intuitive.

That may be true. So why don’t we all just get intimidated and shutdown then hide in our houses?

When and if that happens, life will not be worth living. Living in fear with no way out, is no life at all.

I agree, but unfortunately that is where we are. That is our new reality. Look around, they are throwing folks in jail for just posting memes. They are throwing folks in jail for just “hate speech”. Already for years now if you are taken to court the first thing the prosecution throws at the court as bad character evidence is your social media history because they have brainwashed society into judging you by just your thoughts even if you have not done anything illegal.

We are there... and it is very real. They can completely destroy your life with your thought history. and they will go back retroactively 20 years of posting history to do it. At the time it was no big deal, well now it is and the timestamp will not matter to them at all.

Unfortunately we are still “hoping” this will be fixed at the polls. The outcome we want will slow it down but the tyrants will be plotting and waiting.

It will be up to the people if they choose to allow this to happen to them.

One more thing.

These people don’t need some little post on the web to hurt you. If they don’t have one, they will make one up. They have all of the data on us already anyway and they know how you vote and what you support.

What is happening to people is horrible but I see no one in government on either side putting any stop to it.

I don’t rightly care what they’ve achieved with unconstitutional warrantless searches of American citizens.

Wrong is wrong. Fix it. Mikey.

“So why don’t we all just get intimidated and shutdown then hide in our houses?”

Many are... Even if they don’t like the situation they have no choice. They are just not talking about it. Here is the deal... These criminal psychopaths will not stop at just you. They will go after everyone around you too. Friends, family, your employment, everyone. Many are recognizing that it is not just about them alone and their actions will cause other innocent parties harm too. Even if they are in the right... Being in the right means absolutely nothing to these psychopaths anymore.

Look at what they are doing to Trump... It is unfathomable and surreal. And just like he says, we are next.

Most of our debates are esoteric/constitutional/hypothetical..

Right. Like whether an alternate slate of electors is permissible under the constitution or not.

Oops, off to the gulag with me.
