To those calling for Justice Alito's (and Justice Thomas') recusal on January 6th cases because their wives expressed personal political opinions (3 years ago): Meet the-late Ramona Ripston. For 38 years, she led the ACLU of Southern California. She was the wife of the-late Judge Stephen Reinhardt on the Ninth Circuit. Ramona Ripston filed an amicus brief in the trial court in a same-sex marriage case. Judge Reinhardt--her husband--heard the appeal. He faced calls for his recusal. The left expressed indignation in this 2013 court filing:

New Jersey Senator Robert Menendez and his wife are charged with corruption the likes of which will serve as fodder for Hollywood at some point. We haven’t kept up with his developing defense. Senator Menendez ungallantly blames his wife, who will stand trial separately. “[S]he took all the bribes, he claims,” the editors of the New York Post point out, “which doesn’t explain why he provided all the pro quos if she was pocketing the quid.” Good point! The movie will be a comedy/satire. The Post editors continue:His lawyers say Nadine Menendez “sidelined” her hubby, and “withheld information” to make...

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg laid out his 34-count indictment of President Trump with links to underlying documents in this press release dated April 4, 2023. The indictment relies on section 175.10 of New York’s criminal law (“Falsifying business records in the first degree”): “A person is guilty of falsifying business records in the first degree when he commits the crime of falsifying business records in the second degree, and when his intent to defraud includes an intent to commit another crime or to aid or conceal the commission thereof.”In his most recent update on the trial, Andrew McCarthy concisely...

I USUALLY avoid MSM news like the plague, but was driving listening to Classic FM the other day when one of their bulletins came on. Listening to it made me realise just how badly the British public are being misinformed about Donald Trump’s so-called hush money trial. Let’s backtrack. Ask yourself, what crime is it that Trump is being accused of committing? Paying hush money? No, this is not a crime. Indeed Non Disclosure Agreements, NDAs, are actually legally binding agreements, and are not illegal in any way. Keeping the payments secret? No, that is the whole purpose of an...

Alex Winston’s riveting article in the Jerusalem Post, “A Tale of two Leaders: The Paris meetings between Ben-Gurion and Ho Chi Minh” exposes the widespread post-war thirst for freedom by the post-World War II anti-colonial movement. It also brilliantly refutes the contention that Israel was a colonial enterprise. In fact, the Jewish peoples search for repatriation to their ancient homeland was part of a worldwide search by various national liberation movements from the European colonial powers. It was a part of the global effort by countries seeking national self-determination.This movement was fully embraced by the American Left following World War II....

LoBaido just pulled up to Trump courthouse in a UHaul and released dozens of pink balloons in the shape of male genitalia with the faces of Alvin Bragg, Juan Merchan, and Jack Smith.

Leading Democrats have realized that Joe Biden is hopeless as a presidential candidate, and that Donald Trump may actually win the election. Their desperation is therefore mounting, and they are pulling out all the stops. For a long time, the New York Times has been basically a clipping service for the Democratic National Committee. But in the present crisis, the Times is taking hysteria to a level that might embarrass even the DNC. This headline, from today’s Times, is so over the top as to be unintentionally funny. But no, it is not a parody. The Democrats really are this crazed:

VIDEOThis January 2024 speech by Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico seems to give us the reasons for the assassination attempt upon him. Part of the reason is Fico's rejection of the WHO pandemic policy but even more because Fico called out the corruption of Ukraine aid money while decrying the senseless slaughter of that proxy war which should have been ended over two years ago had it not been for the intervention of Boris Johnson who nixed the peace agreement reached between Ukraine and Russia.Hopefully the perp who was apprehended in the wake of the assassination attempt upon the populist...

The 2023-2024 school year is closing on a sour note. No one should be surprised. Numerous colleges are cancelling their commencement exercises. Where they don’t cancel them; numerous graduating students are choosing not to attend, out of safety fears. And on Sunday, May 12, comedian Jerry Seinfeld – as inoffensive a speaker as one can imagine in a politically-charged time – stood up to give an address at Duke University’s commencement ceremony, and hundreds of attendees booed him, with dozens walking out of the event in protest. (Just how many of these were graduating students, faculty and administrators versus how...

As American campuses boil over with hatred for Israel and for Jews in general, it’s helpful to know what we’re dealing with. Below are five brief lessons: 1. Michael Moore channels 19th century German racists to prove that protestors calling for the mass murder of Jews are not antisemitic. 2. Professor David Bernstein notes that, like today’s campus protestors, most antisemites of the past were quite fond of Jews—as long as said Jews were sufficiently contemptuous of other Jews. 3. Israeli grad student Iddo Gefen discovers disturbing antisemitism at Columbia and then veers toward futile left-of-center virtue-signaling. 4. Karol Markowicz...

Amazing. As my NewsBusters colleague Curtis Houck colleague Curtis Houck headlined:Election Interference: CNN Uses Audio of Private Briefing to Falsely Smear GOP’s Scott Perry In which Curtis notes CNN’s Annie Grayer has a story based on audio of a private meeting involving, full disclosure, my very own Pennsylvania Congressman, Republican Scott Perry. In which it is alleged that “Perry told colleagues in a closed door briefing that: The KKK in modern times, a lot of young people think somehow it’s a right-wing organization when it is the military wing of the Democratic Party. Decidedly, unabashedly, racist and antisemitic,” Perry said according...

If we the people can not unite and stand together now, then what exactly are we?https://gregreese.substack.com/For decades, Ray Kurzweil has been an unofficial spokesman for the trans-humanist movement. And in 2008 he said that humans would become infused with nano-robots which would vastly improve the human body.“If you go out even to 2045, that's only, you know, four decades from now, most of our intelligence, of our civil... of our human civilization will be non-biological. We're going to put this inside our bodies and brains. So we're going to become machines, but not... and if you say that people go,...

So long as we do nothing, the outcome is predictable.https://gregreese.substack.com/When the COVID vaccines were first being distributed to the public, the vaccine inserts were intentionally left blank. Because they were never safe and effective. And for those who did their own research, they were discovered to be deadly. The Moderna patent for this mRNA technology stated that they contain self assembling lipid nanoparticle technology. And now that an estimated six hundred million doses have been administered to the US public, Bill Gates admits this.“Making the mRNA is really easy and really cheap. And that's the magic of this thing. But...

For a woke generation ... The early bird triggers the worm. A stitch in time is another example of white privilege. If you can't say something good, post on the internet. Early to bed and early to rise cuts into your party time considerably. If at first you don't succeed, join the Democrats. Always avoid the sunny side of the street. If you can keep your head while all around you are losing theirs, you will be ostracized for showing off. Inky Dinky Spider was a racist construct subtly denigrating people of color. Red skies at night, global warming. Give...

Prime Minister Netanyahu gave a speech at Yad Vashem at the start of Holocaust Remembrance Day events in Jerusalem yesterday evening. Israel Hayom observes that “[t]he speech took an unusual turn when he shifted language since Netanyahu normally does not use this forum to speak in English.” This is what he had to say to whom it may concern in the English-speaking world:Eighty years ago in the Holocaust the Jewish people were totally defenseless against those who sought our destruction. No nation came to our aid.Today, we again confront enemies bent on our destruction. I say to the leaders of...

Like every major college protest since the 1960s, the pro-Palestinian—which is to say, the anti-Israel—protests sweeping college campuses today have early and often been compared with the protests of that annus horribilis, 1968. There are plenty of similarities but also plenty of differences. History repeats itself as student and faculty protestors align themselves with the totalitarians. Then it was the Viet Cong, Mao, and the Khmer Rouge. Today it is the Sunni Muslim terrorist group Hamas, the main puppet master of the “pro-Palestinian” agitators. One apparently striking difference is the strong current of anti-Semitism. It is ubiquitous now; it was...
