“You realize the Jews are just a speed bump on islam’s road to global domination?”

I agree. But since they couldn’t conquer the Jews in over 2000 years, I won’t be around when they get it done. And most likely a whole lot of them will not be here either through natural selection or premature natural selection toward termination. The Jews have a lot of enemies. But everyone else doesn’t. They have financial committments.

“How can Hamas agree to a “ truce” when the very purpose and charter of their organization is total elimination of Jews ( and not just from Israel)”

The harm and control or elimination of the Jews has been on many people’s minds for over 2000 years. A truce with hamas is not going to stop it. Everthing going on now is just a short term and unstoppable project for the long run. It’s fine to use it to get how many hostages are still alive back but it will not hold when there are countries all around Israel, and numerous terrorist organizations, either attacking Israel or planning on it all the time. So Biden’s little plan is nothing compared to the real problem whether he thought it up or not. Smoke and mirrors.

Here’s a novel but simple idea:

Don’t cross into a another part of a country’s landscape and take hostages at all. Just leave them alone since kidnapping is against the law and then you won’t have to hide them and they won’t have to come get them. Wu wei.

This has nothing to do with racism. This has to do with protecting the most important asset of the WNBA. The league cannot afford to allow her to get into a very violent competition like international ball that could injure her and keep her from filling seats for the WNBA contests. She’s a lot like Tiger Woods when he entered the PGA. He was a selling point that effected greatly the money involved with almost any connection to the PGA and to its market value. He was the greatest thing since sliced bread for the golf world.

There’s tons of really great players in women’s basketball in the U.S. who are reported to be on the roster. That includes A’ja Wilson, Breanna Stewart, Brittney Griner, and several more. Women’s basketball hasn’t lost a game at the Olympics since 1992.

They’ve spent a lot of money and time on her being the salvation for the womens’ game and to get her hurt when she’s filling the seats, getting the league contracts, and increasing radio, online, and television sales revenue in the WNBA they’d be stupid to let her get into that fist fight. It’s all about the bottom line. If a purple person was being talked about, it would be the same.

“Right now they have a choice to turn on their oppressors...”

My hat’s off to you. You have come up with the formula to put terrorist at bay. All these people that think they can just shoot them and get rid of them are not living in reality. There are a whole lot of hoops to jump through to do that all they way down to the conquered mind thought of those you mention down to the recognized (stupidly) “rights” of the sovereinty of a people that don’t have any concern for the lives of their neighbors coming from world governments.

The only real thing terrorists need is safe haven. If they cannot get a place to operate out of they are right in the open. They will have no supplies or eqiupment, no place to safely eat, sleep, or live any type of life they need to survive, and they will not have any attractive lifestyle to entice others to join them. It’s just that simple. So as long as they are placated to, they will remain. And no one will know who they are until they hurt you.

We made a choice here in the US in the later 1700’s to become a free and separate country. We chose our leaders and the government we would use and the founders made the decisions. Can I blame them for accomplishing that because it doesn’t fit today’s society? There has to be adjustments and that in their country comes from the people. Those people 20 years ago might just be around. But the results of hamas is evident to them and the new ones born since. You can always correct a mistake the same as let it continue. One way is harming, the other is stopping it.

    “You mean their only asset.”

Actually their biggest single funding source for the WNBA is the NBA. The WNBA annually brings in about $200M. The NBA, on the other hand, brings in around $10B. The founder of the WNBA were former NBA commissioner David Stern and other owners of the NBA teams. So spreading the wealth to both leagues is sound business for the pro basketball community in the US. However, the current welfare coming from the men’s league is around $1M a team, or in the area of $12M. It doesn’t cover the shortfall.

It’s not unusual for players in the WNBA or NBA to opt out of the olympics. Clark is not a big body and the OIC style of play is very physical. To get a “major draw” for the WNBA hurt in this type of competition will harm the financial investment of the league by bringing her into it and then losing time on the court from an injury in the olympics. Too much money, now and over the next few years, to lose for a rah rah situation like this.

People need to undertand that the sports part of this entertainment industry is long gone. So the league protects themselves by protecting their interest. And it isn’t much different with other professional businesses that are called sport. People don’t attend an amatuer competition that is supposed to be professional due to lack of talent. And the fans want success in their sports all the time and not mediocrity. And that level of success is determined by their talent and the selling of the club by representatives.

There is a history of lack of team success being overshadowed by the success of one or two players on the team. A perfect example for basketball was Jordan and the Chicago Bulls. He was playing for them in 1984 on but their first championship wasn’t until 1991. He never averaged less than 22.7 a year and from 1986 till 1990 never less than 32.5. But he was what they had to sell. And he didn’t play in the 1988 olympic competition saying physical demand to the NBA schedule and his committment there was too taxing. The only difference there was he did it and not the league behind the scenes. Jordan learned his lesson in 1984. He came back in 1992 to help the NBA prove a point. And even Magic came out of retirement and Bird played in pain for that one for the same reason. But For Clark, it’s the golden goose theory. The league is in too much financial trouble to gamble an asset.

“Something is very wrong in WNBA.”

Actually, the elbows, shoulders, and other contact is not far from what happens in the NBA. Rookies get branded in the first couple of years until they gain the respect of the other players by surviving the hits and fighting back either on the boards or just a straight right to the jaw. It’s part of the game for the men and the women are trying to sell out their arenas the same way. But the effort to be more violent in the WNBA won’t make the grade as they are still trying to sell the attractive female with hair styles and makeup on the court. Can’t have it both ways.

“Nothing was ever proven in court,”

And won’t be. The left has made the effort through taking control of the courts with placed liars and has educated our youth starting many years ago to determine that if there’s no flames, even though there’s all kinds of smoke, there’s no fire.

People have been allowed to detemine their own criminal activities, and those of others, based upon whether they got caught or not. And in some cases caught but excused. And in some cases some of the most idiotic ways were invented.

A couple from the dems is Obama’s birth certificate. It went from this is what it is because neither of the forms, short or long, survived a fire. Then the short form was found, then the long form appeared, and both contained information that could not have happened. But that was okay. And even though his grandmother witnessed his birth in Kenya at Queen’s general hospital, he was dedermined born in Hawaii less than 48 hours after she said he was born in Kenya.

Then we have Biden. He was determined by the justice department, one he controls, that he was too senile to be held accountable for the violation of OPSEC regulations thus allowing sensitive documents to be displayed in the open for an extended length of time and his lawyers, who did not have the clearance, may/could have viewed them. And bad enough this guy is the POTUS, he’s on the trail to run again.

We have systematically been relieved of our responsibilities so our “leaders” can totally control our lives for their prosperity. And that check and balance across the aisle is not doing the same thing, just not stopping it.

I spent a lot of years with the federal government, both military and civilian, observing and assisting in the actions to be taken to protect our soil from people outside the country that wish to use us for their opulence. I hoped the infection wouldn’t poison the country, but it has. And now the open sores are weaping, and no one is doing any medicine. Pretty soon, the white blood cells are going to fight back. And if the chosen ones thought they witnessed an insurrection before, hold on to your hat.

“The ball was sitting motionless in the hands of Clark’s teammate.”

If you revue the film, both her teamates hands went on the ball to push it toward her and Clark’s hands were in a position to recieve the inbound pass. It wasn’t until after the contact that the teamate released the right and dropped the ball. From the official’s standpoint, the effort to inbound had started as the ball was in possession of the player out of bounds and a 5 swecond count would have been started but was stopped by the contact.

Also, review the call. It was considered a deadball foul and the contact was not considered in an act of guarding a player so it was called intentional.

The flagrant came later and was after consideration of the amount of contact. But it could have been hidden by an act of guarding and not just throwing a shoulder. For years grabbing to stop the clock, especially if they had a foul to give, was a regular thing. The whole change to fouls in the NBA was done so they couldn’t intentionally foul people, like O’Neil, that couldn’t shoot free throws. But in the minds of the league this time, this also displayed a cheap shot. Hence fine.

The amount of uncalled contact in the both leagues is far greater than people think. And it is allowed as long as it doesn’t hamper the flow of the game. All three rulebooks, NBA/WNBA, National Federation of High Schools, and the NCAA, have a line in the back under rule interpretations that reads “just because there is contact, to include violent contact, doesn’t neccessarily constritute a foul.” As you can see, there is a lot more to these calls than just the contact itself.

As the WNBA continues in it’s competition with the NBA, it has grown in its determinations of what will put butts in the seats. The years of failing in the women’s leagues was consistent with the inability to dunk and supply the contact that the NBA has been doing without calls since the 1950’s. And as long as it fills the arenas, it will continue. Remember, the owners make the rules and they are always looking at the bottom line. So the slow transition to larger players and more contact in the WNBA has been foremost in their finnacial success. Carter’s foul is common place in the NBA and Clark is going to have to get used to the cheap shots.

WNBA Rules 12 section 8 applies.

If that had happened in an NBA game, depending on who it was, it most likely would have been called a loose ball foul and at most an intentional foul (possibly flagrant) which after the 2017 season is considered an intentional which is a shot and the ball depending on when it happened. Flagrant constitutes an ejection. This was thei leagues way of trying to control the intentional foul to keep it a foul and not a flagrant one that could cause injury and try to entice away from the advantageous false double foul. Don’t go there if you can stay away from it. It’s normally covered by shot arrow now. And if Carter had just reached for the ball while making the contact, it would have been just a common foul and she would have gotten away with not getting a fine because the ball was being inbounded at the time of the foul so it could be identified with trying to get a better guarding position.

“The Israelis remain soft-hearted in the wake of all this.”

The body has four cheeks, the last two are your az. For thousands of years, there has been a total attack on the Jews all over the world with the word genicide written all over it. The people that are attacking them have lied, murdered, and even caused the death of their own people to carry out this frenzy. And some half wit person (Biden) who is too senile to be held responsible for following basic security needs of the country he can’t control has come up with a plan he can’t enforce, can’t threaten anyone with, one his people can’t rewrite, but will continue on its course to no gain and the death of thousands before it’s over.

There is only one way to stop it: cut off their hamas’ safe haven having the people of Gaza do it by cutting off their food, power, all the comforts of home until they get hamas out of their country. If they refuse, they pay a price they determined they wanted to. Ball’s in their court.

Otherwise, this will pause long enough for hamas to resupply, and it will come right back just as it has since before the time of Christ. God left good and evil in the world. They haven’t left yet.
