Like several states, they are held captive by the large city vote. Illinois, Georgia, Virginia, Washington, Oregon and Nevada, California....................
Yes they will stop at nothing to keep their power.
“Now I will tell you the answer to my question. It is this. The Party seeks power entirely for its own sake. We are not interested in the good of others; we are interested solely in power, pure power. What pure power means you will understand presently. We are different from the oligarchies of the past in that we know what we are doing. All the others, even those who resembled ourselves, were cowards and hypocrites. The German Nazis and the Russian Communists came very close to us in their methods, but they never had the courage to recognize their own motives. They pretended, perhaps they even believed, that they had seized power unwillingly and for a limited time, and that just around the corner there lay a paradise where human beings would be free and equal. We are not like that. We know that no one ever seizes power with the intention of relinquishing it. Power is not a means; it is an end. One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship. The object of persecution is persecution. The object of torture is torture. The object of power is power. Now you begin to understand me.”
― George Orwell, 1984
The Canadians must love Trudeau. They keep voting for his policies, his leadership, his insidious demeanor and his insufferable idiocy........................
Across your open mind
I trace erratic lines
In motion and in time
I fought a battle won
To the surface of the sun
Through fires on and on
It’s only you
It can’t be me
For I myself refuse to be
I am someone you’ll never know
I am the little neutrino
Solus is not far away
It’s face is brighter than a day
So don’t turn me away
It’s only you
It can’t be me
For I myself refuse to be
I am someone you’ll never know
I am the little neutrino
And now I’m passing through
The one who’s known as you
And yet you’ll never know I do
Supposedly, in 1820 a group of Bostonian Christian missionaries travelled to Hawaii to preach the Word to the natives.
Upon arrival, they were shocked to discover that the natives were all half naked, especially the women who wore no tops at all.
They decided to fix this.
The wrote back home to their congregations explaining the ‘problem’, and could they send them some clothing.
Times were tough back then and their home congregants had little left to share after financing their missionary trip.
But one cloth seller had a bunch of bolts of cloth that had wild flowery patterns he could not sell to staid Bostonian women.
So he boxed them all up and sent them to Hawaii.
Turned out the natives loved the loud colorful flower patterns and would make themselves clothing that has been a symbol of Hawaiian fashion to this day...............
