I’ve had dogs get into my chicken pen and kill chickens. well fed dogs too. Then they would run off and leave lots of dead chickens behind. Neighbor had dogs dig into his chicken pen, kill the chickens then run off not eating any of them.
They DO kill for the fun of the chase.

Simple solution: State pays ranchers double market value for livestock killed by the State’s dear wolves. Better solution: Relocate the wolves to Downtown Denver or Boulder. Also pay ranchers double

Define “fun” in the context of exhibited wolf behaviors, both when packed and also behaviors of disperser wolves.

3 Wolves killed 120 sheep at a private ranch near Dillon, Montana - in one incident. Then, the private ranch suffered another mass killing by wolves - twice in three weeks..
Three wolves killed at least 26 rams the first rime .. then, the next week, the wolves struck again. This time, they took out 120 purebred Rambouillet bucks that ranged in size from about 150 to 200 pounds, and were the result of more than 80 years of breeding.. ~ rancher Jon Konen..
Kathy Konen says the sheep were killed, but their carcasses were almost all intact.

The wolf or wolves that were in the area at the time of the depredation were part of the 10 wolves that were reintroduced to Colorado in December 2023, ... It didn't take those wolves long to find the slow elk.
Anyone who didn't see that coming must be about as intelligent as a cow.
