Jyllands-Posten wondered whether this was still possible in a country with a Muslim minority. It found out that when a country has let in a Muslim minority it has let in the Muslim majority from the rest of the globe. Today Muslim radicals set the Middle East on fire, bullying their religious minorities, because we dare to “disrespect” them, our religious minority (which our political leaders have so foolishly allowed to enter our countries), by printing mild cartoons in our newspapers.

have_mercy You seem to imply that the Brits had the Muslims run India (presumably after 1857), and run roughshod over Hindus. It never happened after 1857. There are things that can be placed at the feet of the Brits as far as their attitudes towards Muslims, particularly in India go. The first was in the 18th century, when their entry into India arrested its being reconquered by various Hindu/Sikh groups, like the Marathas, Sikhs, Rajputs and Jats. Also, by curbing the 1857 revolt, they pretty much destroyed the fighting power of all Indians, and that meant that anytime Muslims misbehaved, there were no repercussions. But the real credit for Mohammedan belligerence deserved to be placed with the Indian Congress in general, and as Vikrant put his finger on it, Gandhi in particular. Folks here at J/W are not politically correct, so I can only assume that when they praise him, they are being genuine. Well, that admiration is ill deserved: Gandhi was the ultimate Dhimmi. In 1919, he started the Khilafat movement to protest the ouster of the Ottoman Sultan as Caliph. Result of that generous act of solidarity with Muslims: India is the only country in the world that has a Khilafat movement as a hangover from that party. Gandhi's politics of pandering continued, and whenever there were Hindu-Muslim riots, he'd intervene to see that Muslims weren't slaughtered, but he never did any such thing for Hindus. As a result, the Muslims were emboldened, and Jinnah took his ambitions to their logical conclusion. If all that weren't enough, Gandhi blackmailed the Indian government (through his practice of hunger-strikes, euphemistically described as fasting) to pay Pakistan Rs550m for compensating what the Muslims had lost, without India getting anything for all the Hindus and Sikhs uprooted from Bengal, Sind and Punjab. Had it not been for his timely assassination, Kashmir, Hyderabad and Junagadh would also have ended up in the hands of Pakistan, and millions of more Hindus would have been slaughtered. Nathuran Godse was as justified as the Enola Gay. If it weren't for a combination of all the above factors, Hindus would have given Muslims a good hiding in the 18th century itself, and there wouldn't have been any Pakistan or Bangladesh, and there may have been half a billion less Muslims than there are today. Imagine that! In the 18th century, they were conquering all parts of India, and the only Mohammedan holdouts were the Nawabs of Oudh and Bengal, the Nizam of Hyderabad and the remnants of the Moghul court in the Red Fort, outside which they had no power. For that, it is okay to blame the Brits. However, as the Gandhian antics above show, don't put all the blame on the Brits. However, they do have themselves to blame for letting in so many Pakistanis into their country that if Banes decree isn't implemented, a day will come when the only way Anglican infidels can be saved would be partition. To those who think I'm riding a hobby horse about Gandhi (I won't say, "Neigh"), I apologize; however, if there is one thing I'd like J/W and D/W contributors to recognize, it's this - Gandhi was the best ally that Mohammedans ever had among the Kafirs, and that any admiration he receives amongst the enlightened ones here who know Islam well is totally undeserved. If one wants to appreciate the message of non-violence, there were several practitioners of this throughout history both within and outside India, who are worth admiring. But please, recognize that the reason that the Muslims got away with what they did was the existance of Gandhi. So the next time anybody feels like praising Gandhi for whatever reason, please don't. For me, for one, it's flame bait. Had Gandhi been alive today, it's not ridiculous to assume that he would have had India support al Qaeda in the name of Hindu-Muslim unity. He would also have despised sentiments expressed on these fora, regardless of whether they are about Islam or about Muslims. To see who won the debate all one has to do is to read it. In fact I have made reading that debate a prerequisite for all those who aspire to debate with me. Mr. Zakaria, in that debate engaged in most of the fallacies that Muslims engage in and he was answered. To avoid repetition, I ask all those who want to debate with me to read that debate first. See my challenge. Mr. Zakaria did not deny my charges against Muhammad. I have accused Muhammad of being a pedophile, an assassin, a rapist, a mass murderer, a highway robber, a plunderer, a deceitful liar, among other crimes. Instead of talking about these charges Mr. Zakaria questioned the validity of the Golden Rule "Mr Sina has to prove the legitimacy of the 'Golden Rule' otherwise it is a mere assumption", he wrote. He even called the Golden Rule a "conspiracy" and concluded that Muhammad should not be judged in accordance to the Golden Rule. In his own words: "The “Golden Rule” is not universal, not self-evident, subjective, inadequate and not absolute...it is flawed as a fundamental principle. At best it is just a moral advice to individuals to exercise self-restraint. Therefore, the allegations against the final Prophet (SAW) cannot be levied." The Golden Rule says: “Do unto others as you would have others do unto you”. I would rephrase it as: “Treat others with the same respect and consideration as you would have others treat you.” This debate was long and all Mr. Zazaria did was to claim Muhammad should not be judged by the Golden Rule because as a prophet of God, he is the one that sets the rules and he is not obliged to abide by the rules we humans set for ourselves. He claimed that whatever Muhammad did, even if they seem wrong to us, he is unblemished because we are in no position to judge a messenger of God. According to Mr. Zakaria It was okay for Muhammad to treat others in ways that he did not like to be treated. Instead of trying to disprove the charges levied against Muhammad, Mr. Zakaria questioned our very notion of right and wrong. He stated we can’t say Muhammad was a bad man just because he was a pedophile, an assassin or a rapist because we can’t say for certainly that these crimes are bad. Mr. Zakaria did not try to acquit Muhammad of his crimes but rather, he put on trial the law itself. With Mr. Zakaria I already achieved what I intended to achieve. This was a very important debate because despite the fact that Mr. Zakaria did not even touch the subject that we were supposed to discuss, i.e. Muhammad’s crimes, he exposed the narcissistic nature of Islam. Narcissists do not abide by the Golden Rule. They believe that they can treat others in any way they please but others should not do the same to them. They think that others must abide by the Golden Rule because they advocate it but they (the narcissists) are exempt from it because they do not believe in it. Muslims do not view the right and wrong in the same way others do. While the rest of mankind distinguishes right from wrong using the Golden Rule as the yardstick, Muslims base this distinction on what is haram and halal (forbidden and permitted). For example you and I believe that lying is bad, stealing is bad, and raping is bad because we don’t like be lied to, stolen or raped. Muslims, when they put their Islamic hats on, do not think in quite the same way. They, like the rest of us, do not like to be abused and maltreated. They do not like to be lied to, their property stolen or their wives raped. However, they see nothing wrong in lying to non-Muslims, pillaging their wealth, raping their women and even killing them. This is consistent with Muhammad's own teachings and conduct. He strongly prohibited Muslims stealing from each other and warned those who stole from the booty that the Islamic army had plundered from the infidels, of sever divine chastisement. Nonetheless the booty itself was permissible to them. In the words of Amir Tîmûr-i-lang, (1336-1405) the Muslim conqueror of India, "Plunder in war is as lawful as their mothers’ milk to Muslims who war for their faith, and the consuming of that which is lawful is a means of grace.” [Amir Tîmûr-i-lang: The History of My Expedition against Hindustan] The non-Muslims, in Islamic countries do not have the same rights because their religion is not accepted by God. If they are despised by God, why they should be treated with fairness by Muslims? Muhammad, not only did not prohibit abuse, he actually ordered Muslims to wage war against the disbelievers, deceive them, plunder them, rape them and force them to convert. He himself set the example. So while narcissists demand that you treat them fairly and in fact preferentially, they do not think they are bound by the same norms. They expect us to live by the Golden Rule and treat THEM fairly because this is what we believe in, but they themselves do not believe in the Golden Rule and do not feel bound by it. Muslims have their own code of conduct which is not based on the Golden Rule but on Islam. Take the example of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The UDHR is based on the Golden Rule of fairness. Muslims do not abide by it. They have invented their own "Islamic" UDHR. -SNIP- more here

The Vision for the post-Islamic (and post-religious) world
Motto of this website:This site is against all forms of fanaticism – religious and non-religious. But the emotional appeal of non-religious fanaticism like Nazism, Fascism or Communism is not as pervasive as that of fanaticism based on religion. When fanaticism and religion are mixed, we have a very potent and dangerous brew that can sustain itself for centuries unlike non-religious fanaticisms like Nazism and Communism which die out when the ringleaders are defeated. This is so, since religion is based on the psychological weakness of all humans, when we humans try to comprehend the unknown (universe). This understanding is (and perhaps will always remain) incomplete. Religion tries to complete this incompleteness by fantasizing that the unknown is a god and that this god is the creator of all things that happen in this world and the universe. This idea that there is a god, which is assumed to be the unknown power in the universe makes the human mind paranoid because of our fear of the unknown. And this paranoia, drives humans to do anything to propitiate this unknown power that is assumed to exist. This is what transforms this weakness of our human mind into a sickness. It is this sickness of the mind that drives humans to undertake wild acts like suicide bombings, fight holy wars, forced conversion, slaughter of humans who give a different name to this assumed power called god, etc, under the delusion of trying to please the unknown power that is assumed to be behind all existence. While all forms of religious fanaticism are negative, only Islam raises slaughter of all Kafirs (non-Muslims) to a holy creed, it teaches Muslim to gloat over the killing of non-Muslims and celebrate their death. Hence Islam is the most demented and dangerous form of religious fanaticism. And it is not Islamic fanaticism that is to be blamed, for Islam itself is fanaticism. From its root to its fruit Islam is the most violent, and virulent form of this delusion that the unknown universe is a god and all those who do not accept this brand of fantasizing of the unknown universe have to be slaughtered. This is so since Islamic fanaticism was born in a barren and harsh desert environment that gave birth to the paranoid mentality of the Bedouin Arabs among whom was born Mohammed (yimach shmo ve-zichro - may his name and memory be obliterated), the founder of this blood-thirsty creed – Islam. This blood-thirsty Muslim mentality has trickled down to the newest convert to Islam be he or she Brown Black, Yellow or White. Most importantly it makes Islam the worst enemy of quest and science and of all human progress. While all religions are opposed to science as the Pope was to Galileo and Copernicus; but it is Islam which is the most blood-thirsty expression of this challenge of religion to reason. So Islam will have to be the first to be removed from the path of human progress and the reply to Islam to be effective would have to be more blood-thirsty and paranoid than Islam itself. Those opposed to Islam will have to be like the hunter who aims between the eyes of the man-eater tiger and shoots till the tiger is dead meat. The hunter bears no enmity with the tiger, but shoots him dispassionately, so that he himself can live, and NOT end up by becoming the dinner of the man-eater. This has to be the attitude, not based on a hate of Islam, but a determination to put a full and final end to Islam, so that Human society can progress without the hindrance of any religion obstructing its path. Once Islam is militarily defeated and then destroyed; the need of the day would be to come up with workable creative ideas, for brainwashing the remaining religious fanatics with techniques like anesthesia leading to amnesia and re-education of such brainwashed ex-religious fanatics; or the use of mass lobotomy to achieve the same result. Only such a technique could prevent religious fanaticism from being resurrected with a name other than Islam and insure the progress of human civilization without any obstacle from any religion. To summarize, the religious outlook that claims to "know the unknown", as a god, allah, etc., is a sub-optimal human response (and so is a sub-human response). Violent monotheism is a criminal response which has brought our world to where it is today, post 11th September. The need of our age is to start with the destruction of the most blood-thirsty form of religious fanaticism – Islam, followed up with the dovetailing of all other forms of religious fanaticism so that they move over and make way for rational-humanism. To make it more subtle; the need is for religion and religious fanaticism to move out of human minds and be replaced by rational-humanism. Our maintaining this site, is our contribution for working towards this objective. |
Islam spreads by instilling fear in non-believers who become too frightened to resist it for fear of retribution--which, of course, is not an imaginary fear. However, Muslims can also be made subject to fear, and this is a weapon which the West has failed to use. It is of interest that at the time of the London bombings, some of the Muslims interviewed by the BBC--a jihadist apologist news source--lamented the fact not that innocent people had been killed, which was of no concern to them, but rather the fact that "even" Muslims were subject to terror, that a Muslim was no safer in London than a Briton or an Israeli. One Muslim from Egypt sent in an e-mail of regret that the bombing would poison relations between Christians and Muslims. These comments reflect not only the callous indifference to the death of non-Muslims--which is obvious from the murder sprees that emanate from Muslim hands everywhere from Bali to Baghdad--but also the fact that Muslims actually do harbor fear, not only from their own home-grown terrorists, but from the reaction of non-Muslims who say that enough is enough. This is an important breach in the wall of their seemingly impervious indifference to the thoughts and feelings of non-Muslims. It is a breach that needs to be exploited and widened until the wall of Islam collapses, at least within the West, where it is otherwise ever growing stronger. How is that to be accomplished? It could require the collaboration of governmental security services and organized crime to achieve the planned destruction of Islamic houses of worship in the West, targeted killings of Muslim advocates of jihad in the West, and intimidation of individual Muslims. Perhaps selective spread of pathogens to Muslims through their halal food sources. This would all have to be accomplished in the context of a firm clamping down to the vanishing point on the number of Muslims allowed to enter Western countries (which among other things would require that Turkey never become a part of the European Union; otherwise the inundation of the only stronghold of the West in the Old World, however lax this stronghold may be, by the Muslim hordes gaining entry through Turkey would be inevitable and irreversible--which in many ways it already is even without Turkey). But as horrible as it all sounds, the response to the visceral fear that Islam has introduced among the infidels can only be met with retaliation in kind. Certainly the CIA is not above collaboration with organized crime to achieve ends essential to national security, a collaboration that has extended back for decades in the heroin trade. At this point in history, the services of organized crime could be quite useful. The point is not to promote wanton terror on the part of the non-Muslim world, but to use terror for a specific end: that of intimidating Muslims from seeking entry to the West and that of encouraging Muslims already living here to leave. Because ultimately Islam, which offers nothing of interest to anyone with a functioning mind, is able to spread and establish itself only by virtue of a superior birth rate. FrontPageMagazine.com | August 16, 2004 When trying to explain the Islamists' global campaign of mass murder, both liberals and conservatives, despite their fierce mutual disagreements, make the same underlying mistake. People on the anti-war left believe that Al Qaeda attacked us because we're imperialist, or because we're racist, or because we don't do enough for Third-World hunger (yes, there are people who actually believe the hunger argument; most of them are Episcopalians). By contrast, many people on the pro-war right, especially President Bush, believe that the Islamists hate us for our freedoms, opportunities, and overall success as a society. In other words, the left believes that the Islamists hate us for our sins, and the right believes that they hate us for our virtues. Both sides commit the same narcissistic fallacy of thinking that the Islamist holy war against the West revolves solely around ourselves, around the moral drama of our goodness or our wickedness, rather than having something to do with Islam itself. The first stage or paradigm is Muhammed’s early life in Mecca, a non-Islamic society where no Islamic way of life is possible, and where Moslems are powerless and oppressed. The second paradigm is the hejira, the escape from Mecca to Medina, a new place that is more pure and where a true Islamic society and state can be founded. After this Islamic state is formed, the third paradigm kicks in. This is jihad, organized violence against non-Moslems for the purpose of building up the wealth and power of the Islamic community and bringing the world under a single Islamic state. Jihadists conceive and rationalize their own activities in terms of these paradigms. Thus when Osama bin Laden left Saudi Arabia for Sudan, and when he later left Sudan for Afghanistan, he saw those journeys as corresponding with the hejira, leaving a corrupt land, where he was powerless, for a more pure Islamic place from which jihad could be waged. In addition to the three stages in the growth of the Islamic community culminating in jihad, there are three basic approaches to waging jihad, called collectively the Method of Muhammed, that various Islamist groups respectively adopt toward the ultimate goal of establishing the world-wide rule of Islam. The jihadis' choice of method depends on whom they see as their immediate enemy in that larger struggle; each jihadist group, moveover, is defined by which of these methods it adopts. The first method is to fight the Near Enemy prior to fighting the Far Enemy. The Near Enemy is anyone inside Islamic lands, whether it is an occupier or someone who has taken away territory that used to be Islamic. The second method is to fight the Greater Unbelief—the major enemy, which today is the United States—before the Lesser Unbelief. And the third method is to fight the Apostates first, and then the other Unbelievers. Apostates are false Moslems, people who call themselves Moslems but aren't, a group that includes secularist Moslems such as Saddam Hussein as well as Shi’ites, who are considered heretics. It is these notions, deeply embedded in the jidadis’ reading of the life of Muhammed, and not determined by what is happening in what we think of as the real world, that determine their major strategic directions and whom they choose to kill. For example, the terrorists who murdered 190 people in Madrid on March 11, 2004 did not target Spain because of its involvement with the U.S.-led Iraqi reconstruction; the group had been planning the Madrid attack for two years, going back to before the American invasion of Iraq. They attacked Spain because it was the Near Enemy—a formerly Islamic land that they hoped to win back for Islam. Similarly, regarding the all-important question whether the Wahhabist Osama bin Laden would have been willing to work with the secularist Apostate Saddam Hussein in an attack on America, Habeck says it is entirely possible, because bin Laden believes that his primary enemy is the Greater Unbelief, the United States, and therefore in the short term he would cooperate with an Apostate such as Hussein. Then, after America had been finished off with Hussein's help, bin Laden with the enhanced power and prestige gained from that victory could redirect the jihad back at Hussein and other Moslem Apostates. The key point is that, while specific actions by the West might provoke the jihadis to greater attacks, their fundamental strategic and military decisions are not determined by anything done by the United States or Europe or by other major enemies of Islam such as the Hindus, but rather by which Method of Muhammed each jihadi faction follows, and each of these strategies has its own internal rationality, though it is not a rationality that makes sense in non-Islamic terms. The same is true for Wahhabism itself, says Habeck. Wahhabism began in the 18th century when there was no Western colonial power in the Islamic world; it was not set off by any Western intrusion into the Moslem lands. Similarly, the contemporary Islamist idea that America is the center of all that is evil in the world, making America the “Greater Unbelief”, was conceived by a Moslem scholar between 1948 and 1951 when he was residing in the United States. This was decades before the U.S. had any large-scale involvement with Israel, and decades before its culture spiraled downhill, though, from the point of view of that visiting Moslem, America was already quite decadent at that point and ripe for destruction. What is most striking in the Method of Muhammed is the utter absence of any transcendent notion of morality. Unlike in traditional Western religion and philosophy, where God or the Good is the measure of human actions, in Islamism (which after all is simply a pure form of Islam) the measure of human actions is the shifting power tactics and military strategies of a desert brigand and war leader. ________________________________ The notion that treating Jihadists "humanely" makes them more likely to surrender rather then fight to the death is not reality. Jihadists are usually killed in most conflicts rather then being taken prisoner because they have a habit of behaving treacherously while surrendering. Jihadists will pretend to surrender then take out hidden weapons and fire on the soldiers while pretending to surrender. So soldiers in other coutries just kill Islamists rather then take them captive thus eliminating the need for POW camps. If places like Gitmo close it will mean that Jihadists will be killed on the battlefield rather then being taken captive and treated "humanely".As our military leaders have said, this is a different kind of conflict. Muslim terrorists have no honor, obey no rules of engagement and violate the laws of war. They are lucky to be alive and living at Gitmo since most other countries just kill them.As for the Geneva convention that is a treaty among nations, Al Qaeda and other Muslim terrorists groups have not signed the treaty and therefore are not entitled to its protections. Only "lawful" combatants are entitled to protection under Geneva. Lawful combatants wear uniforms, carry their weapons openly and do not attack civilians. Even if Al Qaeda had signed the treaty they would forfeit any protection because they have executed prisoners and deliberately attacked civilians.As for Gitmo the US has always maintained POW camps during time of war and Gitmo is a POW camp where unlawful combatants are being held. In WW2 the Japanese had the same religious fanaticism and master race mentality as our current enemy. Here's an excerpt from Victor Davis Hanson's essay on America's defeat of the Japanese at Okinawa.The Japanese strategy was to use "suicide attacks" against American forces. One lesson that was learned at Okinawa is the high cost in American lives in taking Japan using conventional forces against suicidal Japanese soldiers. The US decided to save American lives by dropping two atomic bombs. It should also be noted that the Japanese killed more Chinese during their brutal occupation of Nanking then the number who died in Japan when two atomic bombs were dropped. More Okinawa The a Vietnam? From April 1 to mid-June, 1945, we fought die-hard enemies well entrenched in vast caves stocked with telephone switchboards, tanks, artillery, and mortars. The enemy, while adopting European arms and military organization, had completely rejected Western pluralism, freedom, and tolerance as "weak" and "corrupt," and instead fortified its military with the fanatical religion of "Bushido," a crackpot and deviant Buddhist fundamentalism that sought to marry Emperor-worship with a medieval warrior code to produce a purportedly unstoppable new type of high-tech samurai warrior. The fantatics' goal was to rid the Pacific of Occidentals, and let China, Korea, southeast Asia, and the Pacific Islands "join" an "Oriental" alliance, orchestrated from Tokyo as an exploitive empire passed off as the "Greater Co-Prosperity Sphere." Sound familiar? American soldiers were thousands of miles distant from our shores, closer to the enemy mainland than to friendly bases. As an ally, we had only Britain — who did her best, but could not offer much in our hour of crisis. The enemy shanghaied local civilians into their army, filled them full of lies about Americans, and turned them loose against us either to charge as suicide bombers, or often to commit mass suicide themselves. Soldiers hid in civilian houses, hospitals, even tombs of the dead to avoid our bombers — which were never successful in finding the Japanese high command, but hit a lot of civilians trying. Fanatics like General Isamu Cho and Mitsuru Ushijima boasted of no surrender, rejected all efforts at armistice, and vowed to take as many Americans as possible with them. Crude propaganda leaflets and radio broadcasts promised horrific deaths to Americans and portrayed them as cowardly killers who would rape and murder innocent civilians — over 100,000 natives of the island would eventually be casualties. The Japanese leadership itself, in the manner of ancient warlords, believed Americans were decadent and soft. Indeed, without the overwhelming firepower of the United States — purportedly to be neutralized on Okinawa by offensive suicide attacks on ships, and the defense of caves and concrete bunkers — the generals swore that few of the stinking Americans could ever stand up to Japanese soldiers in battle. Suicide bombers were everywhere. Kamikazes ("The Divine Wind") dove unexpectedly from cloud cover; eventually they would fly almost 2,000 sorties and sink 34 American ships. They hit another 368 craft. The Japanese unleashed previously unknown and quite bizarre new weapons to terrify Americans, such as the human guided rocket (ohka), the crash boat (Shinto), the suicide midget submarines (koryu and kairyu), and the fukuryu or human mines. The wounded and dead were wired with explosives; holes in the ground opened up to pour forth small squads of charging Japanese suicide machine-gunners at the rear of American troops. Despite days of preliminary bombing, it was soon discovered, to the Marines' dismay, that few defenders on Okinawa were killed in their fortified and hidden bunkers. Meanwhile, Japanese suicide gliders attacked Marine airfields while Kamikazes from Japan dove onto carriers at sea. Americans met every challenge, but victory proved costly — and far more deadly — than planners had anticipated. RE: "Nationalism" does not really capture the whole of the phenomenon under consideration here. There is a large component of racial pride. I used to belong to a scholarly e-mail group for Chinese scientists and researchers in the U.S. When I ventured some mild remarks about the status of Tibet and Turkestan, I was met with a volley of frankly racial abuse. One respondent addressed me as "England big nose," and another offered sarcastically to kiss my "hairy hand."

By Caton at LGF: The Arab countries cannot attack Israel directly without facing immediate military retaliation -- a war they cannot win. That is why the Arabs have been using the PLO as their proxy in their war against Israel. But even the use of the PLO was dangerous, as any PLO attack launched from an Arab country meant an Israeli retaliation against that country. Comes Madrid and Oslo. The Arabs have won a major battle, they have been able to deploy their proxy in non-Arab territory. Now the PLO can attack without any fear of retaliations against Arab countries. However, this doesn't work too well, because the IDF is able to enter PLO-controlled territory at will and significantly damage the terrorist infrastructure when it becomes too dangerous. The next step, then, is to have this PLO-controlled territory protected from the IDF. Proclaiming a state won't do -- the PLO would then be in the same situation as any Arab country. Any political concession or recognition of Israel won't to either. So the only solution for the PLO is to get a military force in place to protect them, a force that Israel will not be willing to attack. Since 1956 the Arabs have been keen to have U.N. troops deployed on their borders, knowing very well that those troops will protect them from the IDF while being porous to terrorism. It worked for Egypt, who could mass troops in Sinai in 1967 despite the cease-fire agreements, protected by U.N. forces. It works for Hizb'allah, protected by U.N. forces and still able to enter Israel at will, while the U.N. forces wave at them. It is the perfect Arab choice: an 'interposition' force that will let them go back and forth and only stop Israel. Now the PLO wants its own 'interposition' force. The reason Arafat launched the second Intifada was to incite a massive military retaliation from Israel and use it to get such a force. Then, the PLO would have the impunity it wants while not having to concede anything. The PLO could keep building its terrorist infrastructure and attack Israel at will, and Israel could not retaliate nor defend itself. That is the next phase of the Arab plan against Israel. Have the international community force Israel back to indefensible borders and grant impunity to the PLO, use the PLO-controlled territories to mass enough forces to destroy Israel and at the same time continue using terrorism to damage as much as possible the economy of Israel -- and its ability to fund and deploy defensive forces. Time is not a factor here. The Arabs will wait however long is needed. Do you get it now?
