Rep. Frank Wolf wants to know why Gen. Ham is willing to talk about Benghazi to people paying to hear him speak but only speaks to Congress behind closed doors. Also he raises other questions based on what Ham said about his response to Benghazi.

RIVERSIDE — A mixed-breed pet wolf had to be put down last night after being shot by a police officer during an early morning pursuit. A Riverside police officer was running information on two juveniles he had stopped when one of the teens, who had an outstanding warrant, fled from the scene on foot, according to police. Cops from Huber Heights, MetroParks and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base were called in as back up to help locate the individual. During the pursuit, one Riverside officer hopped a fence into a home’s backyard on Norman Boulevard where he had seen the teen...

Last Saturday, Banff mechanic Tim Bartlett was christening a new motorcycle through the Rocky Mountains when he had a rare wildlife encounter that was equal parts terrifying and enchanting. On a stretch of British Columbia’s Highway 93, a massive grey wolf emerged from the trees, lunged at his speeding ride and chased after him at full speed as he pulled away. The story would have become little more than another legend clanging around the roadhouses of Western Canada if Mr. Bartlett had not whipped a camera out of his top pocket to record the event for posterity; capturing a series...

A farmer in southern Sweden awoke on Sunday to find over 20 of his sheep slaughtered in what is believed to be a wolf attack. Experts have warned farmers in the area to be vigilant as the wolf will likely attack again. The attack occurred at a farmyard in Hestra, southern Sweden, with 21 of the farmers 25 sheep either killed or so close to death that they needed to be put down. "It's still shocking, it feels like a nightmare," farm owner Anders Svensson told Sveriges Radio (SR).

Americans must repudiate the political classAmericans are beginning to recognize the disturbing similarities between President Obama and the fallen Richard Nixon, but the comparison that may matter more is between Mr. Obama and King George III. “He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people and eat out their substance,” in the words of the Declaration of Independence. King George’s assault on the Americans’ natural freedoms was oppressive, intolerable and deserving of a revolution. The truth is, the intrusion, restriction and outright harassment that our government subjects us to today is...

If you've ever had the pleasure of interacting with Dr Milton Wolf -physician, blogger, and writer for the Washington Times- he's as about as nice and genuine a guy as you could ask to meet... hard to imagine anybody having much of a problem with him. Alas, today he stands as a microcosm of the TEA Party movement as a whole: just like its shocking to see Obama treat radicals better than us 'good guys', Wolf's crime is being a constitutionally-aware patriot, and daring to speak out against this vile regime. But since he's family, there's a special kind...

Come on. Can’t even the media hacks stop the political BS for just a few hours while we pray for the people and victims of the bombings in Boston at the Marathon? Already, CNN leftist hack Wolf Blitzer is blaming ‘anti-tax’ groups or in other words the Tea Party for the explosions at the Boston Marathon. I’ll post video as soon as it comes out. Go F*ck Yourself Wolf Blitzer and CNN. Seriously!

9 Considerations for the Lone Wolf Max Velocity started the topic and then American Mercenary added to it. Time for me to toss .02 cents into the topic. 1) You do not want to fight. It doesn't matter if you retired yesterday as an E-9 as a JSOC Jedi from the coolest Tier 1 unit. Five rednecks with rifles probably have your number, if not today then next week. 2) Force multipliers matter even more when you have less force. I would call a guy with a NOD equal to 2 or 3 guys without them at night. If you...

Although Congressional hearings regarding the deadly attack on the U.S. Mission in Benghazi brought both Hillary Clinton to Capitol Hill as well as CIA Director Leon Panetta to answer questions, Republicans still want more questions answered about the assault that took the lives of four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens. Congressman Frank Wolf (R - VA), Chairman of the Appropriations Committee, and Congressman Jim Gerlach (R - PA), a House Ways and Means Committee member, sent a letter to Secretary of State John Kerry on Friday and indicated that he was contacted by a "reliable source who provided information...

FAIRBANKS — A wolf attacked a Tok trapper on his snowmachine last week about 30 miles off the Taylor Highway, biting through the man’s parka and three layers of clothing to put a 3-inch gash on his arm. Lance Grangaard, 30, said he was “putting along” on his Ski-Doo Tundra on Thursday afternoon, coming down a frozen creek, when he saw the wolf out of the corner of his eye. “I turned in time to stick my arm up,” said Grangaard, who was trapping with his father, Danny, in a remote area off the Taylor Highway known as Ketchumstuk. “A...

SALT LAKE CITY — She was an alpha female known as 832F to scientists, but lovingly called " '06" by local tourists, after the year of her birth. She was the most famous wolf in all of Yellowstone National Park, and led the Lamar Canyon wolf pack. 832F wandered outside of the boundaries of Yellowstone National Park Thursday, where she was shot and killed — legally — by hunters in Wyoming. That was made possible by recently-passed federal and state regulations that allow the killing of wolves as game. The changes have made headlines and caused controversy, with hunters and...

LANSING, MI -- There's something very, very strange in these old woods. That's what some neighbors in the area of St. Joseph Highway and Upton Road in Delta Township say, at least. Brad Wallen has encountered what he described as a wolf-like creature six times in the past three months, and as recently as Wednesday when it darted through his backyard. He said he's never seen anything like it before. "I'm guessing this thing is between 65 and 80 pounds," he said. "It's not afraid of humans. It walks right out into the yard and lays down." Wallen said the...

Russian babushka slays wolf with axe, bare hands Robert T. Gonzalez Do not cross Aishat Maksudova. The Russian grandmother was tending to her livestock when a wolf attacked her village of Novo Biryuzyak, Dagestan. So she cooly axed it in the head. Metro UK has the full story, including an excellent video of Maksudova describing and pantomiming her valiant struggle with the wolf, but her descriptions of the encounter paint a pretty good picture of the scene, and how unfazed she was by the whole thing: [I was] not even frightened. With an open mouth, the wolf suddenly jumped on...

A part of the legal fight over hunting wolves in the Northern Rockies officially disappeared from the record when the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals declared the case moot on Wednesday. In 2010, federal District Court Judge Donald Molloy ruled that gray wolves were improperly stripped of Endangered Species Act protection in Montana and Idaho. Later that year, Sen. Jon Tester, D-Mont., got an amendment through Congress declaring wolves in the northern Rocky Mountains a recovered species under the ESA and blocking any further legal review. Molloy, in a separate decision, agreed Congress had the power to shield the...

Columbus, OH --(Ammoland.com)- Today, the U.S. Sportsmen’s Alliance Foundation along with Safari Club International, the Wisconsin Bear Hunters Association, and the United Sportsmen of Wisconsin filed a motion to intervene in a Wisconsin lawsuit seeking to stop the use of dogs in the state’s wolf hunt. The lawsuit, filed by a coalition of Wisconsin humane societies and several individuals against the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR), claims that the use of dogs to hunt wolves violates the state’s animal cruelty law despite the fact that the animal cruelty law clearly states it does not apply to hunting. The lawsuit...

Your humble correspondent is so fascinated by his own navel that he spends hours each day just staring at it. In fact, I am so absorbed by that body part that I am planning on writing a biography about it called "Belly Button: A New Biography." Should you think that I am over the top in narcissistic self-absorbtion, that is nothing compared to the book that former Al Gore "alpha male" consultant, Naomi Wolf, has written. I shall put the title of her about to be released book under the fold to give you the opportunity to put your coffee...

One of President Obama’s largest financial backers is a key executive at the largest Swiss bank in the world, complicating his criticism of presumptive Republican nominee Mitt Romney. Robert Wolf is president of Swiss financial giant UBS Investment Bank and chairman of UBS Americas. He has been one of Obama’s most prolific fundraisers dating back to 2006, when the former Senator from Illinois initiated his run for the White House. Wolf has bundled more than $500,000 for the president’s reelection, campaign records show. He is but one of many wealthy bankers Obama has turned to in an effort to win...
