The U.S. Supreme Court said Monday that it will decide in its next term a case brought by Democratic voters in Wisconsin who argue that state legislative districts are unconstitutionally gerrymandered to favor Republicans. In a separate decision, the court put on hold a lower court order that the state draw new boundaries. The action was announced in a list of orders that the court issued Monday. Videos posted by attendees at the U.S. Open show a blimp crashing to the ground after apparently catching fire. The Washington County Sheriff's Office is responding to the crash, CBS affiliate WDJT-TV reports. At least one person is injured, officials said. Jeff Alstadter, a spokesman for the U.S. Golf Association (USGA) tells CBS News officials were still gathering information about the crash. The Wisconsin legislature is moving forward with Constitutional Carry in bill AB 247.  In 1998, the people of Wisconsin voted for Constitutional Carry in a state referendum amending the state constitution. Gray wolves in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan could find themselves in the crosshairs of hunters as soon as this fall. A ruling is expected soon from the same appeals court that recently lifted protections for wolves in Wyoming. Officials say that whether Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan can hold wolf seasons this fall would depend in part on how soon the court rules. Meanwhile, wolf-hunting supporters in Congress aren't giving up even though a Minnesota representative was instrumental in killing an effort that would have allowed the three Midwest states to resume wolf hunting.

Wisconsin’s highways are seriously underfunded. According to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation’s Transportation Fund Solvency report, spending only the $28 billion projected to be available over the next decade will lead to double the number of highway miles in “poor” condition — and will preclude even planning any highway expansions for nearly 40 years. Borrowing enough to spend $31 billion would slightly reduce the amount of “poor” highway miles but still would preclude planning any highway expansions until 2040. Chippewa Falls (WQOW) - More than 100 new jobs could come to Chippewa County if a proposal by Huffcut Concrete is approved. The Chippewa Falls company wants to build a new division in the Lake Wissota Business Park. Huffcut makes precast concrete products, but Chippewa Falls Mayor Greg Hoffman said the new business will focus on manufacturing buildings. Hoffman said the $20 million project would be completed in phases and could create 120 jobs. Rep. Tod Ohnstad (D-Kenosha) confirmed to 12 news that President Trump will be coming to Kenosha on Tuesday. Ohnstad said anonymous sources told him President Trump will visit Snap-On Tools during the late morning on Tuesday. Ohnstad also said he believes the President will be joined by House Speaker Paul Ryan and Governor Walker.
