A lawyer representing the man who owns the flag said "no arrest has been made as of yet. My client will be pressing charges and will be filing a civil lawsuit against the individual." A suspect has been identified in connection with the burning of a "Trump won" flag in Raleigh, North Carolina. After a reward was offered for information on the arsonist by John Kane on Twitter, which was then raised by Tim Pool, and again by Benny Johnson, Kane reported that he had reported the suspect to police. "A gentleman from Lodi, California who does not want his...

“The View” co-host Ana Navarro claimed that black and Hispanic people are “not immune” to becoming “white supremacists” while discussing the recent shooting at a mall in Texas on Saturday. The shooting at the Allen Premium Outlets in Allen, Texas, left eight people dead and seven others injured. A police officer eventually stopped the shooter, local law enforcement said. “We all have to remember, the head of the Proud Boys, his name is Enrique Tarrio. The Proud Boys is a white nationalist group,” Navarro said. “Look, being Hispanic or being black or being anything does not make you immune from...

Former Arkansas governor and 2024 presidential candidate Asa Hutchinson (R) says former President Trump has “taken us back to bitterness,” urging the GOP to move on as Trump campaigns for another White House term. “Why does the party need to move on from Donald Trump?” NBC News correspondent Vaughn Hillyard asked Hutchinson in an interview aired Tuesday. “Because Donald Trump has taken us back to bitterness. He’s taken us back to what’s a personal vendetta. Whenever you look at what he wants to do as president, it’s more about getting even with his political enemies than leading our country, and...

… Host Elizabeth Vargas (of NewsNation Prime) said, “I’m curious. You had said also that after the events of January 6, that anybody associated with that Capitol Hill Riot should never be in a position of power again. What was your reaction when you heard President Trump at a recent rally play a song that he had recorded with inmates who had been convicted? Some of them pled guilty to their conduct on January 6.” Hutchinson said, “To me, he’s undermining our system of justice. He’s undermining actually what happened on January 6 and minimizing it, and so I’m troubled...

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said Democrats' so-called 'woke problem' was 'made up' to try and push the left away from fighting for racial injustice and election reform, which she claims could help them win. 'One dangerous aspect of thinking there's a 'woke problem' is that Dem chances for re-election or majorities in House, Senate, & WH rely on the racial justice issue of voting rights,' the New York representative tweeted Sunday evening. She added: 'Dems distancing from racial justice makes protection of voting rights less likely, ensuring losses.' Republicans and establishment Democrats claimed that the party's embracing a more progressive agenda and...

Washington -- I was shot last week. No, I was not shot by any of the roving bands of white supremacists who, I am told by the media, ply their hate so freely here in Northern Virginia. Nor was I shot by the Ku Kluxers who inhabit these parts and whom the present governor, Ralph Northam, has done so little to oppose -- has Northam been concealing his Confederate heritage? I am certain that the governor-elect will improve on Northam's pathetic record of inaction against the Klan and the other extremist hoodlums here in Virginia. I was actually shot by...

....In a dark season of pestilence, COVID has reduced to tatters the illusion of American exceptionalism. At the height of the crisis, with more than 2,000 dying each day, Americans found themselves members of a failed state, ruled by a dysfunctional and incompetent government largely responsible for death rates that added a tragic coda to America’s claim to supremacy in the world....

An attempt at taking a selfie at the zoo devolved into a dangerous situation for a woman in Phoenix, Arizona, on Saturday evening, according to zoo officials and emergency responders. A witness who captured video of the aftermath of the attack posted the footage to Reddit; it depicts the zoo guest crying on the ground with visible, bloody gashes on her arm as bystanders crowd around to offer aid....

In teaser footage tweeted Monday by Project Veritas founder James O’Keefe, Washington Post reporter Aaron Davis attempts to ambush the group’s imminent video release on the paper. “The @washingtonpost attempts to ambush @Project_Veritas anticipating an imminent video release…,” tweeted O’Keefe. The footage shows Davis following O’Keefe at an undisclosed location. At the start of the clip, Davis appears to be asking O’Keefe about what the group is filming. O’Keefe notes Davis is using the same “techniques,” as Project Veritas and asks if the reporter has been inspired by the guerrilla journalism organization.

A conservative activist group tried to target Washington Post reporters, planting a source with a false allegation against Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore. But instead of publishing the story of “Jaime Phillips,” who claimed Moore impregnated her at 15 and helped her get an abortion, the Post exposed the plot and foiled the operation to dupe its journalists. After the Post first published allegations on November 9 that Moore pursued relationships with teenagers and sexually assaulted a 14-year-old, the newspaper has been dogged by easily disprovable allegations that sources were biased, paid, or both. The conservative group Project Veritas and...

For a rapper whose debut single was called "Unorthodox," Joey Bada$$ isn't one to accept conventional wisdom. Defying widespread warnings, he proudly stared at the solar eclipse without protection. It didn't turn out to be a great idea. The rapper cancelled three shows starting Wednesday as he complained about his vision. The 22-year-old Brooklyn rapper on Monday shared on social media that he was gazing into the sky without special glasses as the United States witnessed its first coast-to-coast total eclipse in nearly a century. "This ain't the first solar eclipse and I'm pretty sure our ancestors ain't have no...

If you want to know why we have a $19 trillion national debt and a fiscal structure that will take that already staggering figure to $35 trillion and 140% of GDP within a decade, just consider the latest campaign fracas. That is, the shrieks of disbelief in response to Donald Trump’s sensible suggestion that the Europeans pay for their own defense. The fact is, NATO has been an obsolete waste for 25 years. Yet the denizens of the Imperial City cannot even seem to grasp that the 4 million Red Army is no more; and that the Soviet Empire, which...

Donald Trump outlined an unabashedly noninterventionist approach to world affairs Monday, telling The Washington Post's editorial board that he questions the need for the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, which has formed the backbone of Western security policies since the Cold War. The meeting at The Post covered a range of issues, including media libel laws, violence at his rallies, climate change, NATO and the U.S. presence in Asia. Speaking ahead of a major address on foreign policy later Monday in front of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, Trump said he advocates a light footprint in the world. In spite...

John Kasich predicts Donald Trump will sweep all 12 of the Super Tuesday states this week -- but the Ohio governor believes a strong showing in his home state next month will provide the boost he needs to capture the GOP nomination. Kasich has yet to win a state, and placed last in the Nevada caucuses last week. He's been under increasing pressure to drop out of the race in order to help the GOP's establishment voters consolidate around one candidate to better oppose the anti-establishment bids of Trump and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz. Over the weekend, #NeverTrump began trending,...

In his remarks today at a rally in Fort Worth, Tex., Donald Trump knew he’d make news. “I’ve never said this before,” he declared. We’ll await the word of the Washington Post Fact Checker on the integrity of the statement, but Trump did appear to be veering into a new talking point. A media-law talking point, that is: One of the things I’m going to do, and this is going to make it tougher for me…but one of the things I’m going to do if I win…is I’m going to open up our libel laws so when they write purposely...

The South Carolina Republican and potential 2016 presidential contender offered to share everything he's ever sent with NBC's "Meet the Press" host Chuck Todd -- but said there's not really much to turn over. "You can have every email I've ever sent -- I've never sent one," he said. "I don't know what that makes me."
