More than 100 Japanese babies faced off Sunday (May 14) in a traditional "crying sumo" ring, an annual ceremony believed to bring infants good health. In the sumo ring at the precinct of the Kamegaike Hachimangu shrine in Sagamihara west of Tokyo, two hulking wrestlers held up toddlers wearing tiny sumo belts and aprons to try to make them bawl. A man was indicted Thursday for "masturbating vigorously" outside of New Avenues for Youth in downtown Portland on May 3. Indonesia — The rotting carcass of a massive sea creature washed ashore and was discovered Tuesday night on an island in Indonesia. The creature, which measures around 72 feet long, washed up on Seram Island and was discovered by resident Asrul Tuanakota, the Jakarta Globe reports. Tuanakota initially thought the creature was a stranded boat. Many residents speculate the remains are from a giant squid or a whale. An attempted smash-and-grab was foiled when would-be thieves couldn’t crack a pricey glass at an Apple store at the Avalon in Alpharetta last week. A high school student who stabbed a fellow pupil in the neck with a pencil can't be expelled under her school district's weapons policy, a Commonwealth Court panel has ruled. In fact, Judge Patricia A.
