Two California women have choreographed an anti-Trump aerobics class. “Resistance takes endurance,” says artist Liat Berdugo. “And aerobics is also something that builds your endurance.” Berdugo and her partner Margaret McCarthy were recently profiled in a video by Fusion. “We’re looking to, like, really, really physicalize this current moment in the political climate and to respond to it, to react to it, to embody it, to make fun of it,” explains Berdugo. Their routine includes moves to chants “F* Mar-a-Lago”, “Don’t buy Ivanka shoes!”, and “I believe in science!” Each move involves a red tie as an aerobics prop. Other...

Todd Rundgren isn’t bothered that some of his fans might avoid his concerts due to his politics. The 68-year-old musician and record producer conceded as much in an interview with Variety when asked about an incident in which a couple walked out of a concert in Los Angeles due to comments he made about President Donald Trump. “No,” Rundgren said when asked if it bothered him. “I’d say: If you’re a Trump supporter, don’t come to my show, because you won’t have a good time. And also, I don’t understand your frickin’ values. Because I’m not singing about that. If...

In the sumo ring at the precinct of the Kamegaike Hachimangu shrine in Sagamihara west of Tokyo, two hulking wrestlers held up toddlers wearing tiny sumo belts and aprons to try to make them bawl. Wrestlers sometimes shake the babies gently to encourage tears.

Fourteen-month-old Brandon Emery unwittingly locked himself in the car last week during a shopping trip with his mom. Don't worry, though — he made it out just fine. Spain’s congress has voted in favor of digging up dictator Francisco Franco and removing his remains from the controversial Valley of the Fallen monument. The non-binding resolution passed on Thursday proposes that the vast basilica, topped by a 150-meter-high granite cross, be transformed into a place of “reflection and reconciliation” rather than a monument to fascism. The vote was passed after 198 MPs voted in favor of the motion presented by Spain’s Socialist party (PSOE), one voted against and 140 abstained. […] The motion attempts to kick start the Historical Memory Law of 2007, which has effectively been ignored since...

A high school student who stabbed a fellow pupil in the neck with a pencil can't be expelled under her school district's weapons policy, a Commonwealth Court panel has ruled. In fact, Judge Patricia A. McCullough wrote in the state court's opinion, every Pennsylvania classroom would be empty if her court agreed with the Pittsburgh Public School District that a sharpened pencil is a prohibited weapon. The case revolves around what happened between the 10th grader and another student at the Barack Obama International Academy on May 9, 2016.

Darlene M. Gall told the judge she had no choice. A limb of her neighbor's apple tree was hanging over her property, blocking a right of way. Gall claimed she couldn't drive under it without scratching her truck, and she feared it might even prevent an ambulance from coming to her rescue. So, without talking to her neighbor, the 77-year-old Gall grabbed her electric chain saw, walked onto her neighbor's land and cut that sucker off.
