If anyone decides to go see Fahrenheit 9/11 (http://www.fahrenheit911.com) - lets keep a post of inaccuracies in the movie. You can also see early rebuttals by Michael Moore at http://www.michaelmoore.com As soon as I see the movie, I will be reporting back with what I find.

<p>In case you don't know, "Freepers" are fans of a certain far-out-right-wing-nut website and they go on sites like this and "freep" books with one-star reviews without reading them. They're group-thinkers and dittoheads. They go on polling sites and "freep" them as well, and the ones who are technically inclined attempt to infiltrate some websites and shut them down. They're rotten, horrible people.</p>

Saudi security forces appeared to act expeditiously when Friday night, June 18, hours after the decapitated body of the American engineer Paul Johnson was found in Riyadh, they killed his purported murderer, Abdulaziz al-Muqrin in a shoot-out in the capital. Not surprisingly, Al Qaeda quickly denied the death of the most prominent of their Saudi leaders. In a statement released over their affiliated Web sites, they accused the Saudis of lying. In the execution of Paul Johnson, Usama bin Ladens group took its savagery to an unprecedented extreme. After performing this atrocity, they published three horrendous photographs -- one showing...

Winter Solder is a project of The Free Republic. And this website should prove to be the most devastating to the Kerry campaign. Transcripts of Mr. Kerry's testimony are available at this website, as are many, many other interesting facts, and links to other informative websites. If this information is given to the American people, there is absolutely no way Kerry can win. John Kerry was the one who brought up VietNam and this is his achilles heel !! PLEASE check out http://wintersoldier.com While you are visiting, please make sure you vote in their poll. The question is: Should a...

1) Greece is a leftist hellhole: Over there, if you're not a Socialist, you're a Communist, and that country is still capitalist in spite of herself. 90% of Greeks hate us, and they're set on making the lives of our athletes a living hell: Booed, heckled, jeered, being yelled at on the street, and being general assholes towards the US athletes. Conversely, many of the Games spectators will come from the assorted European Socialist reichs, so it will compound to the general misery our athletes would have to endure. 2) Greece hasn't got its act together in regards of security....

Retired Diplomats, Soldiers Tell Bush to Beat It by Jim Lobe In an unprecedented broadside, more than two-dozen top retired U.S. career diplomats and military commanders, many of whom reached their top positions under former President George H.W. Bush, have called for George W. Bush to be defeated in his re-election bid in November. "It is time for a change," declared a one-page statement by 27 ex-officials released at a press conference here Wednesday. "Never in the two and a quarter centuries of our history has the United States been so isolated among the nations, so broadly feared and distrusted." "The...

The government of Mexico will not permit violations of the human and labor rights of Mexicans living in the United States, said Mexican President Vicente Fox Quesada, stressing that, "we will stand beside every Mexican woman and man in this country, we will defend them against the raids being carried out in the state of California." He reaffirmed his commitment to continue to support the Mexicans and Mexican Americans who live and work with dignity and productivity, because they, he said, make a great contribution to the United States economy. "They are loyal, and respectful of this society and...

WASHINGTON (AP) - President Bush offered a glowing tribute to former President Clinton on Monday as the White House unveiled the official portraits of the 42nd president and his wife, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton. Bush rode into office on a promise ``to restore honor and dignity'' to the White House after eight years of Clinton, and he was bitter at Clinton for defeating his father in the 1992 presidential contest. But on Monday, Bush delivered a lengthy, forceful defense of his predecessor, and welcomed dozens of Clinton administration officials back into the White House.

I'm exercising my right to free speech. I hope movie theater owners won't validate Moore's so-called "film" by showing it in their theaters. Michael Moore should be deported to a terrorist country (or at least to FRANCE - the country of our good buddies-NOT!!!) It's so easy for him to spew his particular brand of the truth while living his cushy Hollywood lifestyle!

WASHINGTON -- During George W. Bush's keynote address to the 40th anniversary black-tie banquet of the American Conservative Union (ACU) last week, diners rose repeatedly to applaud the president's remarks. But one man kept his seat through the 40-minute oration. It was no liberal interloper but conservative stalwart Donald Devine. As ACU vice chairman, Devine was privileged to be part of a pre-dinner head-table reception with President Bush. However, Devine chose not to shake hands with the president. Furthermore, he is one of about 20 percent of Republicans that polls classify as not committed to voting for Bush's re-election. The...

WASHINGTON - (KRT) - Empty flatbed trucks crisscrossed Iraq more than 100 times as their drivers and the soldiers who guarded them dodged bullets, bricks and homemade bombs. Twelve current and former truckers who regularly made the 300-mile re-supply run from Camp Cedar in southern Iraq to Camp Anaconda near Baghdad told Knight Ridder that they risked their lives driving empty trucks while their employer, a subsidiary of Halliburton Inc., billed the government for hauling what they derisively called "sailboat fuel." This weekend I was at a friends party and found myself in a calm debate over the war and PResident Bush. I was speaking with a person who called herself "a screaming left-wing moderate" (as if). She was talking about having been to anti-war demonstrations in Washington DC. I told her that I thought debate and opposition was fine and patriotic up until the first shot is fired but once the war is on- debate is ineffective and can only serve to weaken morale and strengthen the resolve of the enemy. She went on to ask me a very odd...

Its astonishing to note the high reverence the so-called "educated" people in america have for the american constitution and its amendments, while noting that they are also blind to or unconcerned about its most poisonous effects upon the society. In every area of life the principles of the constitution are practically applied, the lives of the people who live by those principles are made immoral, insane and deceived. Take for example the constitution's satanic ability to create the abominable and death-worthy crime of homosexuality (Leviticus 20:13). The diabolical process by which it accomplishes homosexuality and the foolish tolerance thereto is...

I believe that I have found a natural medicine (refluxed pure natural rubber, and since natural, basically unregulated by FDA) that is anti – carcinogenic and may cure cancer, and natural rubber (the longest known molecule), seams to have the ability to also stop bleeding once in the blood system, which in many cases is the first sign of cancer as an cancerous ulcer. The German scientist Paul Ehrlich (1854-1915) came up with the concept in medicine of a magic bullet that would kill bacteria but not harm Humans. He had some success with an arsenic compound that he add...

I know this will get a rise out of many people, but let's take a look at the facts. After Sep. 11, we 'rid' Afghanistan of the taliban and al-quada. There are still some pockets of course and our military is effectively rooting them out and killing or capturing them. Then came Iraq, which could easily be argued that this would become the next hotbed and haven for terrorist training and campground. Our forces are once again killing many and taking many prisoner. But an arguement here could be made that we are being too soft. A whole diffirent discussion....

Bush opposed the McCain-Feingold bill in the 2000 GOP primary, tried to kill it in Congress, and then signed it when it passed. http://www.nationalreview.com/lowry/lowry022102.shtml Bush is against a Homeland Security Department; then he's for it. Bush is against a 9/11 commission; then he's for it. Bush is against an Iraq WMD investigation; then he's for it. Bush is against nation building; then he's for it. Bush is against deficits; then he's for them. Bush is for free trade; then he's for tariffs on steel; then he's against them again. Bush is against the U.S. taking a role in the Israeli...

CARLISLE, Pa., May 24 (Reuters) - Two rehearsals for his prime-time speech on Monday were not enough to keep U.S. President George W. Bush from mangling the name of the Abu Ghraib prison that brought shame to the U.S. mission in Iraq. During the half-hour televised address, Bush mispronounced Abu Ghraib each of the three times he mentioned it while announcing U.S. plans to tear down the infamous jail and replace it with a new facility. The prison, the scene of torture under Saddam Hussein and the setting for the Iraqi prison abuse scandal under the U.S. military, has a...

Yes, he is outspoken, but what Rush, Hannity, and Savage is for the right, Malloy is for us lefty's. What is it that we are trying to accomplish in Iraq? Obviously we want a stable government, but at what point do we declare victory and 'exit' ? So, the Iraqi elections are early next year. We should tell the new iraqi government that if they need help and protection they should ask us to stay, so that it is clear that we are not occupiers, but a force staying in an arab country at the request of arab government. We should also make sure that there is a range of candidates campaigning for iraqi government that campaign on the...

I'm really excited by George Bush's latest reason for bombing Iraq: he's running out of patience. And so am I! For some time now I've been really pissed off with Mr. Johnson, who lives a couple of doors down the street. Well, him and Mr. Patel, who runs the health food shop. They both give me queer looks, and I'm sure Mr. Johnson is planning something nasty for me, but so far I haven't been able to discover what. I've been round to his place a few times to see what he's up to, but he's got everything well hidden....

Alright, please at least read this before the "OMG liberal hippy potsmoker haha" starts. I am an American. I was born here in the USA, my dad is from here as well. My mom came here from South America when she was a small child, and so I've grown up hearing about how wonderful this country is-- she tells us the story of how she got her citizenship regularly, as well as how she was the only one to stand for the pledge of allegiance at school(Massachusetts in the late 60s), and many other such stories. I love my country,...

In a previous post, "Liberal Thinker" posted a list of so-called Bush flip-flops. What it actually was was a cut and past of a list of BS that's been circulating liberal web sites for some time now. I'm posting a new thread so this doesn't get buried. I made this same reply on another conservative board. As a relatively new guy here (just joined last night) allow me to take this opportunity to blow gigantic holes in every one of these: (and by the way, this list is just something Liberal Thinker cut and pasted from other liberal web sites...

Jesus spoke out against divorce, but I can't recall any talk of gays from him himself. Therefore, why is no one trying to outlaw divorce? I'm sure most can agree that in most cases it is morally repulsive, therefore why is it legal? because it is a freedom issue, bottom line. Barry Goldwater would be rolling over in his grave to see REPUBLICANS, the party of freedom, wanting to put restrictive clauses in the constitution, a document that was concieved to GUARANTEE freedoms, not restrict them. I think America needs to just grow up a bit and hopefully these so...

Hey, guys. Look... Bush has taken a lot of heat on the issue of Iraq's WMD. We know Saddam had WMD, right? We know Saddam used WMD on his own people, right? Given all that, what would be so wrong about Bush planting WMD in Iraq? Seriously, Bush should plant the WMD in Iraq because we know Saddam had them anyway.

<p>"It is always a simple matter to drag people along whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. This is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in every country."</p>

One teen-ager was killed and another was beaten when two men attacked them early Sunday after they threw eggs at cars, police said. Investigators were looking for two suspects. Jonathan Dewayne Shryock, 18, of Fresno, bled to death from stab wounds in his head and buttocks, police said. The second victim's injuries were not considered life-threatening. Police did not release his name but said he also is 18. According to police reports, Shryock and the other victim were among a group of teen-agers walking down McHenry Avenue throwing eggs at passing cars. The incident was reported a few minutes before...

Would Ronald Reagan have appreciated FreeRepublic? I've thought about this for the past few days and I have to answer no. We have gotten too negative, too nasty, and too petty and small-minded. I've been registered as PolitBase since March but have followed the discussion since 1999. Every now and again -- particularly with people such as OWK (when was he finally punted off anyway?) I have thought that we reach for something better in ourselves. But too often it is hatred and pettiness. Do you think Ronald Reagan would ever have said or thought the ugly things that are...

AUGUSTA - Six months into a ban on smoking at Maine bars, the president of the Maine Restaurant Association says business at some establishments is down by 30 percent, especially at bars near the New Hampshire border. "Business is off big time," Dick Grotton said. "The law continues to be a source of extreme irritation." Jibryne "Gubby" Karter, owner of Waterville's Bob-In, said he paid nearly $10,000 for a heated outdoor patio after a very slow January. "Without the smoke deck, I'm sure business would be off 20 percent," he said. But supporters of the smoking ban, which outlawed all...

According to the Drudge Report, old Ronnie will stop be messing his adult diapers and drooling after eating his mushed vegetables soon. Yup, it look like the old bastard is about to kick the bucket. Good riddance to bad rubbish. Americans like myself consider him and people like him bigger enemies than people whom we have no quarrel with like Osama Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein. There will probably be tributes to this old fool so here's my bio: Reagan was a second-rate actor who started shilling for big business (like General Electric) in the 1950's, and that's what he...

Nobel laureates oppose war against Iraq 29 January 2003 Forty-one American Nobel laureates have signed a declaration opposing war with Iraq. The declaration was organised by Walter Kohn, a theoretical physicist at the University of California at Santa Barbara, and former adviser to the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency at the Pentagon. The signatories include 19 winners of the physics prize. The declaration reads: "The undersigned oppose a preventive war against Iraq without broad international support. Military operations against Iraq may indeed lead to a relatively swift victory in the short term. But war is characterized by surprise, human loss...

Islam’s Nazi Connections By Serge Trifkovic FrontPageMagazine.com | December 5, 2002 An essay adapted by Robert Locke from Dr. Serge Trifkovic’s new book The Sword of the Prophet: A Politically-Incorrect Guide to Islam. One of the good things one can truthfully say about Islam is that there has never been any love lost between Moslems and Marxists. Sadly, the opposite end of the totalitarian political spectrum is quite another matter. SS chief Heinrich Himmler was known to remark that he regretted that Germany had adopted Christianity, rather than "warlike" Islam, as its religion, and there is a disturbing amount of...

Horse-race polls based on national samples continue to show the presidential election a tossup. But the first attempt to systematically poll the battleground states -- the ones that hold the key to the outcome -- suggests that if the election were held now, Sen. John Kerry would win a crushing Electoral College victory.Pollster John Zogby has launched a project to follow 16 battleground states -- eight that Bush carried in 2000 and eight that were carried by Democrat Al Gore. The first sounding, taken May 18-23 and published in the Online Wall Street Journal last week, had Kerry ahead in...

Bush has a fork in him. Look at the polls. You see them. What makes you think it's gonna get any better for the appointed one? Only the dedicated neo-cons support this clown. Your boy is toast. I hope you guys won't do anything rash after he loses horribly on November 2. President Kerry will make this country much better. Just keep that in mind and you'll be fine. Better yet, jump on the Kerry bandwagon and support a return to peace and prosperity. Come on guys, I'm on your side.

Regular Army soldiers in Iraq sleep in fortified accommodations while National Guard troops are in unprotected tents and using filthy showers, according to e-mail messages from several North Carolina soldiers. Staff Sgt. Roosevelt McPherson of Raeford said in a series of e-mail messages from Forward Operating Base McKenzie near Samarra that the National Guard soldiers have nowhere to seek shelter from almost daily mortar attacks, The News & Observer reported Wednesday. McPherson serves in the Monroe-based B Battery of the 1-113th Field Artillery. "The regular Army troops have bunkers, hangars or fortified connexes," he wrote. "It is only by the...

Former Vice President Al Gore was to call for the resignation of Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld and several other Bush administration officials in a scathing attack on the president’s foreign policy Wednesday, people familiar with the speech told The Associated Press. In a speech at New York University, Gore was to argue that several officials, including National Security Adviser Condoleeza Rice, CIA director George Tenet and a top military leader should step down because the situation in Iraq is out of control. He was expected to place blame for the Iraqi prisoner abuse scandal directly on the Bush administration officials,...
