Caracas (AFP) - President Nicolas Maduro said Saturday that remarks by US Secretary of State John Kerry on the unrest in Venezuela gave violent groups a "green light" to carry out attacks. In a tweet, Maduro also slammed the remarks made by Kerry late Friday as "arrogant" and "insolent." "John Kerry threatens Venezuela with more violence, with his statements gives the green light to violent groups to attack our people," Maduro wrote.

TRENTON — On Wednesday, about 350 people gathered at the steps of Trenton City Hall to call for justice and an end to violence after the killing of Julio Cesar Cruz last Saturday. Dwelle Jerome Clark was stabbed in the stomach by his ex-girlfriend Edna White moments after he caught her rummaging through his mother’s handbag. “He said, ‘Stay out of my mom’s things,’” witness to the stabbing Omar Mills said Wednesday. According to Mills, after Clark, 55, uttered those words, White, 56, started hitting him with a walking cane. Clark then took the cane away from her, Mills said, and walked into his bedroom. White then grabbed a butcher knife from atop a dresser, followed Clark into his room and stabbed him in the abdomen, Mills said.

PHILADELPHIA - February 18, 2014 (WPVI) -- Federal authorities have arrested ten members of the Ironworkers Union for what is being called violent intimidation. The United States Attorney in Philadelphia released a sweeping indictment Tuesday of Ironworkers Local Union 401, which is based in Northeast Philadelphia. Ten members, including the union's top leadership, have been arrested. Only Action News was there Tuesday morning as FBI agents raided the union headquarters, carting off boxes of documents linked to the investigation.

A Miami Gardens officer was hospitalized after he was shot during a foot chase. Around 10 p.m. Saturday, officers were sent to an apartment building at 2170 NW 183rd Street to check out reports of a disturbance. On 8/1/2014, Muslim Brotherhood Students in Al-Azhar University kidnapped two police soldiers and stolen their Identities. The two soldiers were in their way to buy lunch, when Muslim Brothers students surrounded them and dragged them inside the university. The police forces managed to release one of the soldiers, the other soldier was thrown by Muslim Brothers Students from a window in the 3rd floor of the highest building in the university. A woman threw punches and kicked a United Airlines ticket agent at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, authorities said.
