It should be noted that

the 3rd hour is about 9 a.m.
the 6th hour is about 12 noon
the 9th hour is about 3 p.m. and
the 11th hour is about 5 p.m.

Daytime work would end around 6 p.m. as the Sun went down.

The hours are based on the Sun rising about 6 a.m.

Jesus wasn’t crucified on a Friday. It’s impossible. It’s a tradition that does not square with Scripture. Most likely a Wednesday Crucifixion, IMHO. It’s the only way He could spend 3 days and 3 nights in the heart of the Earth and be out of the tomb by Sunday morning. Resurrected, of course.

The Jewish Sabbath actually begins at sundown Friday. That’s around 6 p.m. or so. Jesus died about the 9th hour (3 p.m.).

The Jewish Sabbath would end at sundown Saturday. Jesus had already arose by the first day of the week (Sunday). It was still dark when the two women got to the empty tomb.
