We have been taken over by "Popularity" and "Idol" worship. Facts don't matter. Results of our actions don't matter. Only the "Beautiful People" are to be admired. Want something? You deserve it! No need to work for it! Government "Promises" they will provide everything. People don't have to be smart. Hell - the government will think for us. The Popular and The Beautiful "RULE" Those that think for themselves are just stupid jerks. Those that are responsible for themselves, their family and friend are just "silly fools".
  • Congratulations to Jim Robinson for His Political Sagacity Overwhelmingly Accurate

The maelstrom of political controversy regarding Free Republic founder Jim Robinson and his attitude towards the then Republican presidential candidate front runner and odds-on favorite to win the nomination, as anointed by the msm as the weakest candidate in the Repuplican field, was one punctuated by severe criticism of Mr. Robinson for his uncompromising, vituperative take-no-prisoners stance towards the liberal bent, RINO candidate Mr. Romney,as unacceptable under any circumstances as Republican Party nominee in the 2012 presidential election. While his intensely vociferous stance against Mr. Romney surprised, confused, alienated many, the political rationale for the utter blanket rejection of Mr....

In the days since the Paroxysm of National Suicide, a/k/a THE ELECTION!, I have had the opportunity to engage several Obama voters in fairly pleasant and light hearted conversations (don’t laugh, I can be cheerily banal when I want) regarding the future. I did not know any of the conversants, but spoke to them as they waited with me in restaurants, hotel lobbies, gas stations, etc. I made sure to ask only folks with similar demographics to my own so as not to invoke hostility, and I was really polite and cheery when engaging them. I began by asking the...

Just saw Johnny Football take down #1 Alabama. This little guy is another Doug Flutie. If he stays four years and he might because he'll too small to play in the NFL, he might win four Heisman Awards. He's that good. It's too bad Texas A&M lost two close games to LSU and Florida. For my money they are the best team in the country.

Priorities. While hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers are still suffering without heat and power, Barack Obama is waiting until Thursday, November 15 to visit New York City to meet with struggling survivors of Hurricane Sandy and review the recovery process firsthand. The visit happens to come on the same day that Obama's college basketball coach brother-in-law will be in town for a tournament.Obama paid an election-savvy visit to New Jersey on October 31, right after Sandy hit, but held off visiting New York City at the request of Mayor Mike Bloomberg as the city was not prepared for a...

The Pentagon has just released their version of the 9/11 timeline and I think it is very interesting and damning to Obama. Specifically, we know that Panetta, Obama, Biden, and Donilon were at the White House for a previously scheduled 5 pm meeting. The attack had been going on for 50 minutes before Panetta was notified, and he was aware it was ongoing ..........................Defense Secretary Leon Panetta and his top military adviser were notified of the attack about 50 minutes after it began and were about to head into a previously scheduled meeting with President Barack Obama. The meeting quickly...

This post is written in anger and frustration. Angry that we continue to follow the Republican Party’s elite ignorance. A party that continues to pull defeat from the jaws of victory characterized by pompous fools who fulfill the sterotype built by the left. Frustrated that the reality of politics is this: There will be no third party capable of competing with the coalition constructed by the dems. As a result, true conservatives MUST take steps to irradicate the ignorance of the Republican Party while still adhering to the core values of our forefathers (beliefs that I discovered are considered extreme...

A good chunk of Long Island is still in the dark after 12 days now and nobody seems to care. It’s not like the president needs to show up for a photo op since these poor bastards overwhelmingly vote for him anyway. He’ll come visit eventually, so hold tight to your candles. It’s also not clear if power will return to the schools in time, so the town has purchased generators for the schools to run on. National Grid, which manages the power grid owned by LIPA, said 95 percent of residents that live in non-flood zones, should have power...

Just had a rather strong and lengthy earthquake here in East Tennessee. The event started with a sudden shake, then a pause, then a lengthy quake of significant magnitude, I would estimate to be in the range of 3 to 4. Is this event connected to shaking in other areas? How is that mountain side in the Azores(?) which is capable of sending a massive tsunami toward the East Coast fairing? Ant word from other freepers out there?

Accepting that when the counting of the votes is compromised no one can beat the thief, and to have real elections in the future the GOP will have to take greater care in the tabulation of votes, (or no size turn out will be able to win) here are the replies to the lies that were never presented, and would have delivered even more votes to the GOP: 1. It's been almost a week since the de-lection, and various posts have popped up showing unrealistic numbers for NObama in Virginia, Florida and Ohio. We all know massive voter fraud was in play in this election - the Chicago way. Question: Can Romney pull his concession speech based on the data from polling centers? Can he ask for a recount? And if he could...would he?

Weekend Edition Why I don't vote… and you shouldn't either Saturday, November 10, 2012 My good friend and intellectual mentor, Doug Casey, recently shared the five reasons why he doesn't vote. He typically re-publishes these thoughts every four years. Perhaps you've seen them before. While I agree with Doug in principle… I have a wholly different rationale for not voting. Given this week's election, I thought I'd tell you about it. The reason I don't vote (and you shouldn't either) is… Our current system of governance is nothing more than tyranny, and it's on track to destroy our country. Like...

I am a Ron White example of “you cannot fix stupid”. Throughout my life I have made many financial mistakes. Academic background does not make you intelligent, just gives you the illusion of intelligence sometimes. I have reached SS retirement age and will have to depend on the government for my retirement funds. I earned it by paying into the system for near 50 years and now I will collect a little for hopefully a few years. All the mistakes I made were made by me, not someone else making my life decisions for me. I cannot understand how some...

I wrote this last February although I did fall for the false gold hoping Romney could win. Even then we all feared this was going to happen: This is how we know that LOVE is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. 1 John 3:16 We just lost a special election here in Oregon where the establishment ran a self described moderate and lost twice in a row. When all of the experts try to explain that you have to run the perfect candidate to satisfy the moderates...

I was one of those 30,000 around the country that wasted their day this past Tuesday trying to get Orca to work. Here in central Virginia, it was as bad as everything you've heard. I slugged it out with Boston from 6:30 am to 7 pm, and tried every way I could think of to make it work, probably for no good purpose. The "app" itself couldn't be used ahead of time, I was assigned to go to one precinct on Tuesday, then got contrary instructions on Wednesday (the week before the election), was invited to call into a conference...

If the religious makeup of the GoP candidate didn't matter to many FREEPERs, why is the religious make-up of certain voter demographics of sudden interest to many of these same posters? In three post-election days, I've seen five FR threads on what Evangelicals did -- or didn't do -- at the polls...and yet NONE on what Catholics did. Why the lopsided attention? Given that Catholics supported Obama by a 50-48 percent margin, wouldn't that be at least as relevant -- if not more? [Note: Going into the election, Pew Forum found that Latino Catholics were supporting Obama 73-19%, so even...

Do you believe the claim Newsweek made in 2009 that “We are all Hindus now”? Phillip Goldberg does. In his book American Veda: How Indian Spirituality Has Changed the West (2010) he makes the compelling case that many Americans have adopted the spiritual Hindu principle of Advaita, meaning “not two,” and now believe that all is “one.” So Bill Clinton uses Eastern meditation, we speak freely of mantras, avatars, karma, mandalas, and…we practice yoga. Yoga is big in Southern California, even among Christians, and even in the schools. Is yoga just exercise, or is it part of the Hinduization of...
