European central banks have opened the floodgates with promises of unlimited dollar funding in a coordinated action with the US Federal Reserve. The European Central Bank, Bank of England and Swiss National Bank said they were ready to inject as much as needed into the markets for dollars funding covering periods of seven days, a month and 84 days. Banks would “be able to borrow any amount they wish against the appropriate collateral in each jurisdiction,” the central banks said in a statement. In Tokyo, the Bank of Japan said it was considering a similar step. The joint move marks...

WASHINGTON (Army News Service, July 13, 2006) – The Department of the Army advanced on its goal to prevent encroachment by establishing a new partnership between the Army Compatible Use Buffer Program and Ducks Unlimited July 7. The partnership allows Ducks Unlimited – an organization committed to the conservation, restoration and management of wetlands and associated habitats for North American waterfowl – to work with the Army to identify opportunities for wetland creation and management near installations participating in the ACUB program, said Chad Henry, director of training for the Training Lands Office. “It gives the troops more area to...

Rome paid tribute to the barbarians clamoring at her gates. It didn't do any good. Paying ransom only postponed the inevitable sacking, burning, and looting of the empire's capital. The UK's Neville Chamberlain sought to pacify Hitler, only to see Brits hiding in basements from the blitzkrieg a few years later. Instead of remembering history's lessons, the Washington Post today indulges in feel-good, intellectual rationalization of Muslim intolerance and hatred. In a 5-page manifesto entitled, "Anatomy of the Cartoon Protest Movement," authors Anthony Shadid and Kevin Sullivan exercise unlimited poetic license, calling Islamist hooliganism "a rare moment of empowerment among...

WASHINGTON - The Federal Election Commission voted Thursday to let members of Congress raise unlimited "soft money" donations to fight Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's redistricting initiative. The 6-0 decision by the commission came in response to a request from U.S. Reps. Howard Berman, D-North Hollywood, and John Doolittle, R-Rocklin, both of whom oppose the redistricting plan. The decision will allow federal officeholders to raise unlimited sums from unions, corporations and other donors to support or oppose any measure on the Nov. 8 special election ballot. In general, federal campaign finance law limits federal officeholders to raising $5,000 each from donors for...

As mentioned in a previous chapter, Selective Salvationists have said the verses that say salvation is offered to all don't actually mean salvation is offered to the entire world. To prove their point, they quote Romans 3:23 ("For all have sinned …"). They say since Jesus had never sinned, the word "all" doesn't actually mean all. They say the word "all" can actually be much smaller than 100%.The above interpretation highlights the importance of looking at the context (surrounding verses) of a verse. The surrounding verses (v. 22,24,25) present Jesus as the solution to the sin problem. Since Jesus is...

SACRAMENTO — Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger is becoming entwined in the campaign fundraising efforts of a group that under state law is required to remain independent of him. As he travels the state to build support for an agenda that would reshape California government, the governor is sharing the stage with leaders of a fundraising committee that has been formed to support his proposals. State campaign laws dictate that if such committees are under the control of politicians, then the size of the donations the committees can accept must be restricted. The committee, Citizens to Save California, is accepting donations without...

Thomas Sowell: The fallacy with 90 lives By THOMAS SOWELL, Creators Syndiucate November 20, 2004 Cats are supposed to have nine lives but fallacies must have at least ninety. Some notions will be believed, no matter how many times they have been refuted by facts. One of these seemingly immortal fallacies is the implicit assumption that our enemies have unlimited resources, so that our efforts at strengthening ourselves militarily are doomed to be self-defeating. At least as far back as the 1930s, the intelligentsia and others have warned against military spending as setting off an "arms race" in which each...

SEATTLE - RealNetworks Inc. and Starz Encore Group LLC are launching an Internet movie subscription service Monday, 18 months after the two companies first announced plans for the offering. Seattle-based RealNetworks and Starz of Englewood, Colo., had planned to begin the service in the spring of 2003, after announcing it in December 2002. But RealNetworks vice president Karim Meghji said it was delayed because the companies didn't think the market was ready for the offering, which lets people download movies to watch on computers. One big hurdle was broader adoption of high-speed broadband Internet connections, which Meghji said allows the...

"Playing Hamlet" John Kerry political cartoon. May 24, 2004...To be, or not to be the nominee? Sen. John Kerry has a money problem. Once he accepts the Dem presidential nomination, he locks into the $75 million from the FEC and his unlimited fundraising comes to a complete halt -- five weeks before his opponent’s, President Bush. That means Bush has five more weeks than Kerry to raise unlimited campaign dollars. How did this happen? Democrat Party Chairman Terry McAuliffe, wanting the selection process for the Democrats to be over early, scheduled the Democrats’ Convention in Boston from July 26...

Z Produces Fusion Neutrons, Sandia Scientists Confirm; Huge Pulsed Power Machine Enters Fusion Arena PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (April 7, 2003) -- Throwing its hat into the ring of machines that offer the possibility of achieving controlled nuclear fusion, Sandia National Laboratories' Z machine has created a hot dense plasma that produces thermonuclear neutrons, Sandia researchers announced today at a news conference at the April meeting of the American Physical Society in Philadelphia. The neutrons emanate from fusion reactions within a BB-sized deuterium capsule placed within the target of the huge machine. Compressing hot dense plasmas that produce neutrons is an important...

Yes. Restrictions on 'unrestricted access'. Fetters on 'unfettered access'. Iraq fooled Charlie Brown again, but not Bush. Rush reported this at 3:30, referring to an article I've yet to find. Hannity at 3:30 said he 'Almost drove off the road' when he heard Rush's find. There's an article out there somewhere that the 'unlimited inspection' offer is limited, to military bases. Inspections are, in fact, limited only to military bases, which makes them useless.

The Cross-Work of Christ Is It Limited or Unlimited? What Does the Bible Teach? SALVATION Unlimited Salvation Limited Salvation "For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men..." (1 Tim. 4:10a). "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son... "The Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world" (1 John 4:14; compare John 12:47). "For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved" (John 3:17; and compare...

UNLIMITED ATONEMENT Definition of Unlimited Atonement: "A reference to the doctrine that Christ's redemptive death was for all persons." "Representative Passages Offered in Support of Unlimited Atonement (Note: To clarify my position on a few of these verses, I have added some expositional text and quotations from various biblical scholars.) Luke 19:10: "For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost." (The "lost" seems to refer to the entire world of lost humanity, not just the lost elect.) John 1:29: "The next day John saw Jesus coming towards him and said, 'Look, the Lamb of...
