Computer engineer Jonathan Morey says, "I have never voted for a Republican, ever." Nathan Hansen, a lawyer, says, "I've been a Republican all my life." Yet a political meeting in St. Paul, Minn., brought the 31-year-old friends together for the first time -- in support of presidential candidate Ron Paul. Officially, Mr. Paul is a Republican, elected to Congress 10 times and now running for the party's presidential nomination. But the party label hardly describes the obstetrician from south of Houston. And it certainly doesn't explain his appeal to a growing, if still small, number of voters across the political...

Nationally known peace activist Cindy Sheehan will be among a dozen speakers who will take part in the sixth annual "Fighting Bob Fest," the annual political chautauqua scheduled this year for Saturday, Sept. 8, at the Sauk County Fairgrounds in Baraboo. Sheehan, who gained notoriety for her push to get the U.S. out of Iraq and then tried to slow down her level of activity, has agreed to address Bob Fest, which last year drew more than 7,000 people to the daylong fair of political speeches, music and food. Sponsored by The Capital Times and the Web site FightingBob.com, Bob...

A member of "Houston 9/11 Truth" asks Fred Thompson about his membership in The Council of Foreign Relations and its backing of "The North American Union." 1) Watch how Thompson deals with her (in the first 1:00 or so)... Thompson answers as the '9/11 Truther' heckles him over her conspiracy-minded question regarding "The North American Union": "Now don’t fuss at me. You asked me a question. Let me answer it." That's how it's done! 2) Then watch as the '9/11 Truther' is escorted out (about 4:00) at the end of the video, screaming about "What do you think about Trade...

HOUSTON, Texas (CNN) – A woman screaming “you’re not a real conservative, sir” was removed by police from a welcoming reception for likely GOP presidential candidate Fred Thompson Wednesday morning. A second protester was also taken from the room. Houston police officers escorted the woman — as well as a man — from the hangar at Hobby Airport, where Thompson was shaking hands with a crowd of supporters. They were not arrested. The woman questioned Thompson as he talked to reporters. She asked him why he was a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and noted that the organization...

White House preparing to stage new September 11 - Reagan official 13:58 | 20/ 07/ 2007 WASHINGTON, July 20 (RIA Novosti) - A former Reagan official has issued a public warning that the Bush administration is preparing to orchestrate a staged terrorist attack in the United States, transform the country into a dictatorship and launch a war with Iran within a year. Paul Craig Roberts, a former Assistant Secretary of the Treasury, blasted Thursday a new Executive Order, released July 17, allowing the White House to seize the assets of anyone who interferes with its Iraq policies and giving the...

NEW YORK A feature piece in this coming Sunday's New York Times Magazine on Republican candidate for president, Rep. Ron Paul of Texas, portrays his followers as including a wild mix of "wackos" on both ends of the political spectrum. Paul, a libertarian, has been gaining media and public attention of late. The cover line reads: "A Genuine Radical for President." The headline inside: "The Antiwar, Anti-Abortion, Anti-Drug-Enforcement-Administration, Anti-medicare Candidacy of Dr. Ron Paul." The article closes with the author, Christopher Caldwell, attending a Ron Paul Meetup in Pasadena. The co-host, Connie Ruffley of United Republicans of California, admits she...

Seventy House members, nearly all liberal Democrats, vowed today that they would not support any more funding for Iraq military operations unless tied to a complete withdrawal of combat troops. This is a big development. Earlier this year, liberals grudgingly voted for Iraq funding bills because they didn't want to give Nancy Pelosi a defeat. Now it seems that their patience has run out. The next Iraq funding bill won't come up until the fall, so this showdown won't happen for a few months, but it appears to be shaping up as an epic battle between liberals in Congress and...

It comes right down to freedom. They want to go back to small government. Not smaller government. Small government as it was originally intended. And that is what really unites most of our support. The word ‘freedom’ is a short-hand way of explaining Paul’s platform. Paul supports a drastically reduced federal government- the elimination of the IRS, he believes state’s should be left to regulate abortion and marriage policies. He questions many international organizations and agreements, such as the World Trade Organization, NAFTA and the country’s membership to the United Nations.

The reaction to the showdown between Rep. Ron Paul and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani has been fascinating. Paul suggested that the recent history of U.S. foreign policy endeavors overseas may have had something to do with terrorists' willingness to come to America, live here for several months, then give their lives to kill as many Americans as possible. Perhaps, Paul suggested, the 15-year presence of the U.S. military forces in Muslim countries may have motivated them. For that, Giuliani excoriated him, calling it an "extraordinary statement," adding, "I don't think I've heard that before." Let's be blunt....

Wow. The Ron Paul zombies were really busy last night. I have more than two dozen hate mails this morning, each more obscene than the last. I’m a Nazi. I’m a Jew. I’m a fascist. I’m an establishment bootlicker. I’m cowardly, moronic, and myopic. How do I sleep at night? I suck, and I should have carnal relations with myself. Ron Paul is the only one who can save our “cesspool of a country.” I’m a racist piece of sh*t, and a fake chickenhawk.

"MADISON, Wis. -- A controversial University of Wisconsin lecturer challenged a state lawmaker to a debate on Thursday amid the still simmering debate about his views regarding the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks." http://www.channel3000.com/news/13255407/detail.html And don't forget to FReep the poll! Right now it stands at 978 yes he gets his job back, 248 no he doesn't. I'm suspecting a little nutroots collusion here.

In a clear sign of its intent to reign in dissident American media personalities, and their growing influence in American culture, US War Leaders this past week launched an unprecedented attack upon one of their most politically 'connected', and legendary, radio hosts named Don Imus after his threats to release information relating to the September 11, 2001 attacks upon that country. Imus that have gripped the United States this past week, it was during an interview with another American media personality, Tim Russert, who is the host of a television programme frequently used by US War Leaders, wherein while decrying...

Good stuff, although when you’re aiming at a target this wide it’s hard to miss. Here’s a short edit. It picks up in the oval office, where Stan, Kyle, and a 911Truth idiot have been brought by the CIA after finding out too much. But what transpires there proves to be a ruse, and only later do they learn the shocking truth — that the Truthers themselves are part of the conspiracy. Which isn’t the first time that particular charge has been leveled, and won’t be the last.
