The Supreme Court is allowing President Donald Trump's latest travel ban on six Muslim-majority nations to go into effect. Two of the nine justices dissented

Having apparently exhausted all other avenues of irrationally slamming President Donald Trump (I never tire of typing those three words), the fake journalists who infest The Atlantic have now decided to go after him for his…wait for it…EATING HABITS! I kid you not, some guy named James Hamblin issued a piece on Saturday that condemns Trump for liking – gasp! – McDonald’s and – horrors! – Oreos, for regularly consuming more that elite society deems appropriate in one sitting, and for snarfing down his food too quickly. Why, the nerve! Here’s a typical paragraph: “There is no question that this...

Here’s what the fake news media thinks “accountability” looks like: When you have a reporter who files a completely false report for the sole apparent reason of damaging the President of the United States, tanking the entire stock market in the process, his “punishment” is a four week vacation timed perfectly for the Christmas holidays. That’s what ABC did with its serial fake reporter, Brian Ross on Saturday. Man, nice work if you can get it. Hey, it worked out great for Lenin and Mao, didn’t it? – Meanwhile, over at NBC, network executives have had their staff busy taking...

Senate Republicans have approved the repeal of ObamaCare’s individual mandate as part of their tax-cut bill, a major step forward toward ending an unpopular part of the healthcare law. “Families ought to be able to make decisions about what they want to buy and what works for them –not the government,” Sen. John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) said, hailing the accomplishment.

Republicans took a major step forward early Saturday in their decades-long fight to open a piece of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to oil drilling. Included as part of the sweeping tax reform bill passed by the Senate in a 51-to-49 vote is a highly controversial provision to allow energy exploration in a 1.5 million-acre swath of ANWR known as the “1002 area,” which lies along the coast. In total, ANWR spans more than 19 million acres. The drilling provision was seen as key to getting Sen. Lisa Murkowski, Alaska Republican, on board with the tax bill.

The cold civil war we are fighting is not just going well. Contrary to what was once expected, this war right now is in a stage of overwhelming success. Not that we have won anything permanent, but one has to be amazed at how positively things are going. Consumer confidence is close to an all-time high. Our economic growth is over 3%. After nearly a decade, our economy is clearly coming out of the doldrums, and the U.S. population is becoming optimistic about its future. Trump is remaking the judiciary, an extraordinary achievement. Illegal immigration is down, eventually to be...

The Senate passed the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act on Thursday, which serves as one of the final steps for Congress to pass historic tax legislation. The Senate passed the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act 51-49, almost entirely along party lines, with Vice President Mike Pence presiding over the vote. Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN) voted against the bill, and 48 Democrats voted against the tax reform legislation as well. Reluctant Republican senators such as Susan Collins (R-ME) and Jeff Flake (R-AZ) voted for the bill after last minute changes were made. Flake received a commitment from Republican leadership and the...

"With 51 Republican votes, the Senate narrowly approved a massive bill early Saturday that would cut taxes for many Americans, nearly double the standard deduction and dramatically reduce the corporate rate — all while adding more than $1 trillion to the deficit over the next decade. Senate Republicans passed the measure just hours after having to rewrite the legislation Friday evening, providing them with their first major legislative win of the year. GOP lawmakers scrambled to revise their bill after the parliamentarian ruled the deficit trigger — a necessary component to sway key lawmakers to get on board with the...

The White House said on Friday that it was the Obama administration that authorized former national security adviser Michael Flynn's contacts with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak during President Trump's transition, according to CNN. Flynn pleaded guilty on Friday to lying to the FBI about his contacts with Kislyak in the month before Trump took office, the first current or former Trump White House official brought down by special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russia's election meddling. Court records indicate that his communications with Kislyak were directed by a Trump transition official, with multiple news outlets reporting that official was Trump's...

The S&P 500 reached an all-time high at the open, advancing 0.5 percent, with information technology and energy among the best-performing sectors.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Senate on Tuesday is poised to confirm one of President Donald Trump's legal advisers to serve on a powerful appellate court. Gregory Katsas has worked on some of the president's most high-profile and contentious decisions, including his executive orders restricting travel for citizens of predominantly Muslim countries and his decision to end a program protecting some young immigrants from deportation. Democratic lawmakers have argued that they don't trust Katsas, 53, will be truly independent in cases involving the president, but they are relatively powerless to stop his confirmation. Katsas serves as deputy assistant to the president...

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A U.S. district court on Tuesday denied a temporary restraining order to prevent President Donald Trump from naming an interim director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. On Tuesday, Judge Timothy Kelly said the agency was part of the executive branch and he saw nothing in the law that prevented budget director Mick Mulvaney from holding the two positions.

NEW YORK, Nov 28 (Reuters) - Wall Street surged to record closing highs on Tuesday, led by sharp gains in bank stocks and boosted by progress for a tax cut bill, strong consumer confidence data and encouraging comments from President Donald Trump's nominee to lead the Federal Reserve.

More than 2,000 conservatives in tuxedos and gowns recently filled Union Station's main hall for steak dinner and the chance to cheer the man who saved the Supreme Court from liberal control. Justice Neil Gorsuch didn't disappoint them, just as he hasn't in his first seven months on the Supreme Court. "Tonight I can report that a person can be both a publicly committed originalist and textualist and be confirmed to the Supreme Court," Gorsuch said to sustained applause from members of the Federalist Society, using terms by which conservatives often seek to distinguish themselves from more liberal judges. The...

President Trump has slammed the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau as a "total disaster" and rightly objects to a second leftist taking the place of outgoing leftwing director Richard Cordray. The battle is just the tip of the iceberg surrounding this federal agency that shouldn't even be there in the first place. What Trump is battling is an unaccountable agency run by the Democrats and for the Democrats with the aim of funding more Democrats. It's a shakedown racket targeting banks and other moneybags businesses based solely on the size of their assets to harvest from fines. It was never about...

Our Constitution carefully separates the legislative, executive, and judicial powers into three separate branches of government: Congress enacts laws, which the president enforces and the courts review. However, when all of these powers are accumulated “in the same hands,” James Madison warned in Federalist No. 47, the government “may justly be pronounced the very definition of tyranny.” The rise of the administrative state over the last century has pushed us closer and closer to the brink. Today, Congress enacts vague laws, the executive branch aggrandizes unbounded discretion, and the courts defer to those dictates. For decades, presidents of both parties...

Sunday’s Required Reading – The Daily Caller has a great piece this morning by Michael Bastach, chronicling many of the innumerable “the end is near” predictions made over the last 30 years by the frauds in the Global Warming alarmist community. It’s a great read, and a good reminder of just how wrong all these projections have been. Of course, the point of the Global Warming scam is not to be right, it is to frighten the public into accepting collectivist political policies as the only “solution” to a problem that most likely doesn’t exist. Speaking of collectivists running scams...

A tale of sadness and woe from the liberal democrat professionals in the State Department: Mr. Miller got just five minutes with the secretary of state, the former officials said. Afterward, Mr. Miller, a career Foreign Service officer, was pushed out, joining a parade of dismissals and early retirements that has decimated the State Department’s senior ranks. Mr. Miller declined to comment. The departures mark a new stage in the broken and increasingly contentious relationship between Mr. Tillerson and much of his department’s work force. By last spring, interviews at the time suggested, the guarded optimism that greeted his arrival...

The forthcoming ICE operation is the surest sign to date that the Trump administration is ramping up ‘worksite enforcement.’Federal agents are planning to conduct a major worksite enforcement operation at a national food service chain in the coming weeks, according to an internal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) document reviewed by The Daily Beast. The current plan is focused on employers who exploit undocumented workers by illegally paying them below the minimum wage. The operation will target locations around the country and will likely result in charges of “harboring illegal aliens,” according to an ICE official. “These people are basically...
