22% name Barack Obama as most admired man; 15% name Donald Trump Hillary Clinton is the most admired woman 9th time Obama has won; 21st time for Clinton PRINCETON, N.J. -- Americans are most likely to name President Barack Obama as the man they admire most in 2016. Twenty-two percent mentioned Obama in response to the open-ended question. President-elect Donald Trump was second at 15%. It is Obama's ninth consecutive win, but the seven-percentage-point margin this year is his narrowest victory yet. The results are based on a Dec. 7-11 poll. Since 1946, Gallup has asked Americans to name the...

With the election of Donald Trump, Fox News has actually seen ratings grow since November 8. CNN and MSNBC, on the other hand, have watched viewership fall off sharply. “I believe Fox News’ prospects for 2017 to be very strong,” Fox News’ James Murdoch said at a conference this week, adding that ratings “are less down than we expected.” Murdoch also said CNN and MSNBC numbers have dropped “quite a bit more” than Fox’s, partly because they had risen so much more during the campaign. Over the years, the Fox News audience has been more loyal and less prone to...

1. Obamacare Will Disappear (Before Election Day) According The View's Whoopi Goldberg, people are already losing Obamacare coverage because of Trump. Yes folks, President-elect Trump. "People are starting to get those e-mails and letters saying oh, by the way we're not going to be taking care of this anymore, because we basically don’t have to," she told her fellow co-hosts in a discussion about medical insurance. Come on, Whoopi, even if Trump does repeal Obamacare, it’s going to take months.  2. Sex Will Be Less Fun Back to Filipovic. In a CNN.com op-ed, the feminist writer claimed that “sex...

Democrats grappling with the shock of Hillary Clinton’s loss to Donald Trump are also beginning to turn their attention to 2020, and pondering who could defeat Trump as he vies for reelection. Here are The Hill’s initial rankings of where the potential candidates stand. 1. Sen. Elizabeth Warren (Mass.) How would the 2016 election have panned out had Warren challenged Clinton in the primary? That’s one of the great unknowables of Democratic politics. But now, there is little doubt that the Massachusetts senator is the leading contender for the 2020 nomination. Warren, a former Harvard Law School professor, has been...

The losers are angry... If you were arranging publications based on their political content, any given issue of GQ Magazine would sit comfortably to the left of Marx & Engels. GQ is to sane political discourse what a pack of rabid pit bulls is to a steak. After all, this is the rag that keeps Keith Olbermann locked in a basement closet, where a food pellet drops each time he records one of his insane rants for YouTube. That means they have a nasty habit of letting the mask slip and sharing their insane feelings. In a year where the...

Alabama will play Washington and Ohio State is set to face Clemson in the College Football Playoff semifinals. The selection committee stayed with the same top four Sunday as it had going into championship weekend, leaving out No. 5 Penn State even though the Nittany Lions won the Big Ten title game and beat Ohio State earlier in the season.

NEW YORK (AP) — You might have thought about it, heard it. A lot. You might have even felt it: Dictionary.com's word of the year is "xenophobia." While it's difficult to get at exactly why people look up words in dictionaries, online or on paper, it's clear that in contentious 2016, fear of "otherness" bruised the collective consciousness around the globe.

Analysts argue that Trump won because Hillary didn’t win like Obama did, or something like that. Obama argues that he was a better campaigner than Hillary was. But across the nation, it was clear that many former Democratic voters backed Trump in key areas. Hillary Clinton has been controversial since college, and nominating her certainly did the Democrats no good. Looking back, you can see that she didn’t promote outlandish things while on the stump. She sounded like an old-time Democrat, a God-fearing white pantsuit-wearing smiler of smilers. It’s just, well, America wasn’t fooled.

Jimmie Kaylor November 24, 2016Who Vegas Is Now Picking to Win the 2016 College Football National Title After close to three months full of shocking upsets, legendary individual performances, and games we won’t forget, we finally reached the point in the 2016 college football season where we can accurately separate the national title contenders from the pretenders. Needless to say, quite a bit has changed since the first month of the season. Teams like Florida State, Houston, Stanford, and Louisville — all thought to be among the top national championship contenders in the country — have proven to be pretenders....

President-Elect Donald Trump stunned the world last night with a commanding upset victory over the heavy favorite, Democrat Hillary Clinton. In addition to Trump’s victory in the contest to be the 45th President of the United States, the National Rifle Association’s five million members helped retain control of the Senate by backing victorious GOP contenders in Florida, Missouri, Indiana, North Carolina, and Wisconsin (at this time, New Hampshire’s Senate contest between Kelly Ayotte (R) and Maggie Hassan (D) remains too close to call). The House also remains comfortably under the control of the GOP. The NRA pumped more money into...

My choice for the top 3 losers in this election follows. What are your 'top 3'? 1. Hillary Clinton -- The Clintons were going for a dynasty, if not a dictatorship. She is now subject to criminal investigation, and with a new FBI director and an honest Department of Justice. 2. The Polling Profession -- They've been exposed as mind control propagandists. The icing on the cake were the totally biased 'exit polls' yesterday. But every step of the way the polls were intentionally designed to manipulate and mislead. They are revealed for the mind control device that they are....

Cork GainesNovember 1, 2016 The first College Football Playoff ranking is out and the Alabama Crimson Tide are No. 1. Alabama is followed by Clemson, Michigan, and Texas A&M. The first teams on the outside, looking in, are Washington (No. 5) and Ohio State (No. 6). The biggest surprise is Texas A&M being ranked fourth, ahead of Washington. The Aggies are ranked seventh in the Associated Press poll after having lost 33-14 to Alabama. Washington is 8-0 and is the only undefeated Power-5 conference team that is not among the top four. Interestingly, this ranking includes two teams from the...

Sorry to post yet another vanity about my website/app, the Wikileaks 600 Key Findings Navigator - but Twitter has muted my account for over 48 hours, and I have no way to get the word out except through the patriots at Free Republic. I'm a long time FReeper - 12 years under this screen name, and at least 4 more before that. I'm also a programmer, and this app is my own work, based on data from an anonymous user at Reddit. It helps present the key data from the Wikileaks in a way that makes it much easier to...

New data out today from YouGov BrandIndex suggests that Fox News is losing its luster in the eyes of Republican consumers -- who, it must be noted, pretty much despise CNN and MSNBC more than ever.
