If Death and Taxes are avoidable in this life, then I’m a Democrat who voted for King Showbama. I think my record on this subject is pretty clear. Oh, I’m gonna die, of that I have no doubt…unless my wife wants to pay for cryogenic freezing, but first I’d have to move to Freakifornia. And I refuse to even step foot in Freakifornia. When I go, it’s the dirt nap for me, or with the fishes, depending on who gets to me first. So that leaves taxes. Do I have to pay? The 16th Amendment says so…or does it?

How many Americans have had to endure the intrusive and frightening interrogation known as an IRS "audit"? Well it turns out that while sticking its nose in everyone else's business, the IRS has been less than honest itself. More specifically, the IRS has been caught cheating... to the tune of about a trillion dollars a year. The IRS is quite experienced at using intimidation, demonization, and harassment tactics, but what can be done when the "enforcers" are the ones breaking the rules? Click below to see how at least one man is standing up to the IRS. http://www.861.info/message.html Sincerely, The...

The FAIRTAX: A TROJAN HORSE FOR AMERICA? By Claire Wolfe & Aaron Zelman You do not examine legislation in the light of the benefits it will convey if properly administered, but in the light of the wrongs it would do and the harms it would cause if improperly administered. -- Lyndon Baines Johnson, U.S. President “Abolish the IRS!” So goes the cry. And who could disagree? The income tax is unAmerican in the most profound way, punishing people for being successful. The tax code is vast and incomprehensible. The agency that enforces it is universally loathed. Yes, let's abolish...

LAS VEGAS (AP) - As millions of taxpayers prepared to meet the April 15 filing deadline, an anti-tax author attempted to argue Wednesday in federal court that no American is required to pay taxes. Tax opponent Irwin Schiff and two of his associates appeared in U.S. District Court on charges they helped thousands of taxpayers file bogus returns. Schiff told U.S. Magistrate Judge Peggy Leen that he would plead guilty if federal prosecutors could show a tax requirement exists. "I will not accept your plea of guilty at this time," Leen said and entered a plea of not guilty on...

FNC's Hannity and Colmes 'interviewed' Vernie Kuglin and her attorney Larry Becraft last week. Most freepers know her story. I used the word interview in quotes because it actually was an ambush, IMO. Regardless whether you agree with Ms. Kuglin or think she's -- anything -- she deserved to be treated without the verbal abuse she experienced on "Hannity & Colmes." No, I'm not talking about the liberal Alan Colmes: I'm talking about Sean Hannity. His behavior was deplorable. He was rude, demeaning, sarcastic, overly critical, and he played some kind of shame-into-submission game that I still don't even understand....

The Justice Department this week moved on several fronts against tax evasion and the promotion of evasion schemes. Such moves had become so rare in recent years that promoters boasted about not paying taxes and won clients with claims that the government's not coming after them proved that taxes are voluntary. The most significant development came in Las Vegas, where an eight-year prison sentence was imposed on Max C. Tanner, 55, a former Internal Revenue Service lawyer who evaded $2 million in taxes on profits from a stock swindle. Mr. Tanner, who was taken directly to prison, was also fined...

The Internal Revenue Service unveiled its annual listing of tax scams Monday that it labeled the "Dirty Dozen." The 2004 list includes several new tricks that either manipulate laws governing charitable groups, abuse credit counseling services, or rely on refuted arguments to claim tax exemptions, according to the IRS. "The Dirty Dozen is a reminder that tax scams can take many forms," said Mark W. Everson, IRS commissioner. "Don't be fooled by false promises peddled by scam artists. They'll take your money and leave you with a hefty tax bill."

Court: Taxpayers can ignore IRS summonses Ruling says action has no teeth without federal court order A U.S. appeals court has ruled the IRS cannot compel taxpayers to turn over personal and private property without a federal court order and that taxpayers can ignore the agencies summonses until actual enforcement action is taken. In the case Schulz v. IRS, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals in Manhattan ruled: ... absent an effort to seek enforcement through a federal court, IRS summonses apply no force to taxpayers, and no consequence whatever can befall a taxpayer who refuses, ignores, or otherwise does...

© 2004 WorldNetDaily.com A former IRS criminal-investigation special agent who left the agency and became a whistleblower exposing government fraud and abuse says the agency, in its attempt to prevent him from serving as an official representative of taxpayers, is illegally using "enforcers" to monitor his political activities and build its case against him. On his website, Freedom Above Fortune, former IRS employee Joe Banister explains his journey from special agent to a member of the "tax honesty movement" – activists working to expose what they consider is a fraudulent income-tax system. Forget the war in Iraq, Afghanistan and our excellent adventure in Liberia. Forget about Kobe, Arnold, Arriana, Scott and Laci. The biggest news of the entire week is that on August 8, 2003, the IRS was unable to convince a jury in Memphis, Tennessee that the Federal Tax Code requires the citizens to pay individual income taxes. I kid you not. I watched as many Sunday news programs as I could possibly stand, and I didn’t hear a single mention of the IRS’ debacle in Memphis. If you ever had doubts about the mainstream media being controlled by the federal...

White Paper on State Citizenship T. Collins -- 10/04/94 Introduction I was born a first class citizen. I entered into contracts that, without my knowledge, made me a second class citizen. I am working on the legal process of restoring my first class citizenship status. I was surprised to find that the United States government recognized two distinct classes of citizens, let alone that my citizenship status had changed. At first I did not believe it. It was not until I learned how to use the law library in the county court house that I was able to confirm my...

Not a tax protester Referring to me in his column ("Taxing story," Sept. 4), Joel Belz said, "I, for one, earnestly wish for the profound tax reform Mr. Zuniga and his friends say is critical. . . ." But I've never called for tax reform--only for lawful government. The largest financial fraud in history is the unlawful collection of "income" tax for 90 years. Congress entraps you to sign promissory documents, fork over one-third of your pay without reading the law, certify that you're a "taxpayer," and under penalty of perjury that you owe and promise to pay. The legal...

A former IRS agent who believes citizens are not required to pay federal income taxes will appear in U.S. District Court in Sacramento tomorrow to face charges for numerous alleged tax crimes. Joseph Banister, 41, a leading figure in the "tax honesty" movement, was taken into custody Nov. 19 by IRS agents and released on $25,000 bond after pleading not guilty. A Certified Public Accountant in San Jose, Calif., Banister has been telling his clients they don't need to file federal income tax returns because the 16th Amendment, which gives Congress "power to lay and collect taxes on incomes," was...

The "tax honesty" organization spearheading legal action against the federal government for its failure to answer a "petition for redress of grievances" regarding the income tax is moving into the second phase of its class-action suit. We the People says its attorney, Mark Lane, has developed his "plan of attack" for filing the next round of court documents in the suit. The legal action takes the government to task for the failure of either the executive or legislative branch to address the 537 questions about the validity of the federal income tax posed by WTP's petition.
