We hope that Mrs. Conyers prison time will allow her an opportunity to UNITE, and will ultimately serve to gain much needed clarity that will see her embracing and protecting American FREEDOMS which were afforded to her by the great sacrifices of millions of Americans.

Monica Conyers, the wife of the powerful chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, Rep. John Conyers, D-Mich., pleaded guilty to one count of bribery in a federal court in Detroit, this morning. According to court documents, in late 2007, Mrs. Conyers, president pro tem of the Detroit City Council, twice accepted envelopes filled with cash, once in the parking lot of a Detroit McDonalds. DETROIT (WXYZ) - The Synagro investigation involving Detroit City Councilwoman Monica Conyers may be starting to cause trouble for Conyers' husband, John, who heads the House Judiciary Committee in Washington. A government watchdog group says it is "ironic and unseemly" that Rep. Conyers is leading impeachment action on the House floor against a federal judge while his wife is under federal investigation in connection with bribes allegedly paid to her for a $1.2 billion sewage sludge contract.
