VIDEO HERE. Barack Obama stated his intention to bankrupt the coal industry in an interview with the San Francisco Chronicle. That would throw countless people out of work, devastate the economy of many coal producing states, and send electricity prices skyrocketing for everyone. Sarah Palin opposes Barack's bankrupt plan and pledges to fight with everything she has for working Americans! Please ask everyone you know to vote for her Tuesday November 4th!!!

Just received word that Sarah Palin will be making a stop at the Jet Center in Colorado Springs on Monday evening, Nov. 3. Probably some time between 5 and 7. It'll be a simple event -- her plain will land, she'll step in front of a podium near the plane and talk to us, and then continue her flight. I'll have more info shortly.

Commentary borrowed from another website: If McCain wins this election it's going to be through a strong, grass roots volunteer effort. McCain can't beat Obama on money or boots on the ground. Obama's doing his best to buy the election with his millions, some of it from questionable sources. But we can help overcome Obama's money advantage by going to work for McCain--from the comfort of your own home! You can sign up on the McCain/Palin website to use your free cell long distance to make calls to voters in swing states to urge them to vote for McCain/Palin: http://www.JohnMcCain.com/PhoneBank....

Imagine if John McCain had whispered somewhere that he was willing to bankrupt a major industry? Would this declaration not immediately be front page news? Well, Barack Obama actually flat out told the San Francisco Chronicle (SF Gate) that he was willing to see the coal industry go bankrupt in a January 17, 2008 interview. The result? Nothing. This audio interview has been hidden from the public...until now.

With so many polls showing Obama "ahead" you may be wondering why we should fight. Here's why. When you strip away the national polls and look down deep into each of the battleground states, you find that this is NOT a runaway election for Barack Obama. In fact, the race is tied in almost ALL of the battleground states. The Mason Dixon poll for Fla. and Virginia not only has Obama and McCain statistically tied, but up to 9% of voters in each state are still undecided. We see the same trends in Ohio and Missouri. For the past several...

Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin unleashed a new volley against Barack Obama on a four-city tour of Ohio on Sunday by touting newly released audio comments made by the Democratic presidential candidate promising to restrict the construction of new coal-fired power plants in the U.S. The issue is particularly sensitive in coal-rich Ohio, West Virginia, and Colorado. Obama made the comments to the San Francisco Chronicle in January, which were posted on YouTube over the weekend. Obama said that under his proposal to cap greenhouse gases, energy suppliers would get incentives to develop technologies to reduce pollution and to use...

Meryl Yourish says no — and in fact one of the state’s largest newspapers agrees. The Richmond Times-Dispatch did its own polling in Virginia and got much different numbers than CNN and ABC over the last two weeks. They call the race a dead heat, and winnable for McCain: The presidential contest in Virginia is heading toward a photo finish. The final Richmond Times-Dispatch Poll of the campaign shows Sen. Barack Obama at 47 percent and Sen. John McCain at 44 percent. Nine percent are undecided — an unusually large slice of the electorate. The profile of undecided voters suggests that...

After an unprecedented campaign that seemed to break a record for breaking records, Barack Obama stands on the threshold of history -- if his poll numbers hold up. The final Dispatch Poll shows the Illinois Democrat with a 6-point lead in Ohio, virtually identical to the 7-point advantage he held a month ago. The survey is one of many in key states across America that indicate Obama is headed toward a win Tuesday that might not be close, although Republican John McCain is furiously trying to mount one more comeback and prove the pollsters wrong.

The final round of Mason-Dixon polls has Obama enjoying small leads in the red states that would deliver him the presidency, but he's below 50% in each and there are enough white undecided voters to leave some too close to call. Weekly town hall meeting-style debates for the last two months, as proposed by Sen. John McCain, would have done much to inform the public about the issues — and about McCain's long, clear record as a moderate who works across party lines. Sen. Barack Obama, whose record is very thin, shrewdly rejected the joint tour that could have given swing voters a more substantial comparison of the candidates. The Republican hasn't fared well in the traditional campaign that ensued, though voters caught a glimpse of the real McCain when he firmly told a supporter there was no reason to "fear"...

Down to the wire, Va. still too close to call, poll showsThe survey of 625 likely voters in Virginia found 47 percent supported Obama, 44 percent preferred McCain and 9 percent were undecided. The margin of error is plus or minus 4 percentage points. Swing state Should Virginia vote Democratic, Barack Obama probably will win the White House. But should McCain hold the state, the result could portend a McCain comeback nationally. With 48 hours until Election Day and candidates swarming the state like mosquitoes, a new Orlando Sentinel poll suggests that the race for president in Florida remains too close to call. The poll, by Mason-Dixon Polling & Research, shows Sen. Barack Obama leading Sen. John McCain 47 percent to 45 percent, well within the poll's 4-point margin of error. With the race essentially tied going into the last lap, Florida's 27 electoral votes remain the biggest battleground prize for either candidate.

PERKASIE, Pennsylvania (Reuters) - John McCain's supporters aren't about to let a bunch of poll numbers get them down. Despite a raft of surveys that show the Republican presidential candidate trailing Democratic rival Barack Obama by significant margins, McCain backers say they're confident their candidate will win Tuesday's election. "I don't believe the polls, to tell you the truth. I'm very hopeful," said substitute teacher Pam Heminger at a rally on Saturday in Springfield, Virginia. Many conservatives argue they don't get a fair shake from what they see as a liberal-leaning news media, and several McCain supporters said they thought...

For president of the United States, The Dispatch endorses Republican Sen. John McCain, whose experience, service and sacrifice for his country make him more qualified to lead the nation. McCain's Democratic opponent, Illinois Sen. Barack Obama, is a rousing motivational speaker, but his experience and achievements -- eight years in the Illinois Legislature and less than four in the U.S. Senate -- do not stand comparison with McCain's. A resume containing so little evidence of leadership and accomplishment leaves in question Obama's ability to handle the most responsible and difficult job in the world, especially at a time when the...

According to Fox, 264,000 more Dems than Repubs have early voted in Colorado and 447,000 more Dems than Repubs have early voted in Florida. This was followed by a report that Dem judges were extending the voting hours to 6AM to 9PM in key states so that "everyone would have achance to do early voting." Without being decried a "racist," every_single_peron shown in early voting was African-American. The icing on the cake was a panel of "jorunalists" agreeing that, if the early/eastern states show a big Obama lead on 4 Nov, then it would be "negligent" not to announce that...

Presidential hopefuls John McCain and Barack Obama are locked in a dead heat in the bellwether state of Missouri, and McCain is now inching ahead, according to Tina Hervey, director of communications for the Missouri Republican Party. She said the state party’s internal polls already have McCain a point or two ahead of Obama. “It is nuts and bolts time,” Hervey explained Saturday from party headquarters in Jefferson City. “We are in hand-to-hand combat and we are very skillful.” In the last 104 years Missourians have voted for the winner in every presidential election, except for 1956 when Missouri went...

More than a third of registered voters already have cast a ballot More than a third of El Paso County's nearly 400,000 registered voters took advantage of the chance to vote early, with record numbers casting ballots ahead of Election Day or sending them in by mail. Voters on long lines Friday that snaked through the lobby of Centennial Hall and past storefronts in The Citadel mall and Chapel Hills Mall praised election workers for how smoothly it ran despite waits of up to three hours to cast a ballot. The large numbers who voted early were no guarantee there...

As part of our ongoing investigation into issues surrounding voter fraud, we have discovered a VERY disconcerting situation. And this time, it's not in Ohio... It looks like out-of-state volunteers and staffers are registering and casting ballots in the battleground state of New Mexico, too. One example is Shayne Adamski. He lives and works in Los Angeles, CA, is actively involved in politics and was a California delegate at the Democratic National Convention just 2 short months ago. Adamski is also a paid employee on the Obama campaign, and he traveled to New Mexico to help get out the vote...

- - In the final stretch of the campaign, John McCain is trying to hold on to Florida's Hispanic voters, while Barack Obama is focused on getting Democrats to the polls. The ghosts of elections past emerged in Florida on Friday as Al Gore stumped for Barack Obama and John McCain's campaign vowed to match George W. Bush's record ad-spending and absentee-ballot success. In the final weekend before Election Day, Florida remains in play as one of the most pivotal states in the nation for the presidential race. Both campaigns have focused their battleground strategy on trying to avoid the...

Big turnout meant big lines on the last day of early voting in Colorado. Thousands of people lined up at the three voting locations in Colorado Springs. Wait times exceeded 3 hours. "I'm shocked," said Lisa Schmick as she joined the line at Centennial Hall where the line stretched out the door. "I thought everybody voted on the 4th. I thought ...'we're going to beat the lines coming early'". The line there was so long some got frustrated and just gave up. "It's pretty discouraging," said Louis Spicciati, who decided to leave and come back on November 4th. "You've got...

October 31, 2008 04:46 PM EST Barack Obama and John McCain are evenly matched in the swing states of North Carolina and Missouri, though Obama is strongly outpacing McCain in two of those states’ crucial battleground counties, according to new Politico/InsiderAdvantage polls. In North Carolina, Obama and McCain were tied with 48 percent of the vote. Only 3 percent of voters in the state remain undecided. In Missouri, McCain led Obama 50 percent to 47 percent, an edge that was within the margin of error. Voters in North Carolina’s Wake County, however, part of the politically competitive Research Triangle area,...

Is MO still the litmus state it has been? I seem to remember that in the last 100 years MO has predicted the winner of every presidential elections except one. I do remember reading that the demographics of MO made it the ultimate poll. I'm not sure if that goes out the window this election? Opinions? If not Realclearpolitics has McCain up .4 in MO and that might be a bit of encouragement for our guy.

las Carlson | October 31, 2008 4:49 PM Yahoo mined their search data and reports: In the past week, Senator Obama has drawn more than twice as many queries as Senator McCain. That's not necessarily all positive, as the nature of the queries indicate that people still have a lot of questions -lookups range from questions about his biography to his birth certificate, from his grandmother to his gun control platform. Indeed, according to HitWise, for the four weeks ending October 25, 2008 "barack obama birth certificate" was the fourth-most common search term driving traffic to BarackObama.com. "Barack Obama Antichrist"...

The energy at Bowman Field was palpable on Thursday night as Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin told a local crowd that presidential hopeful John McCain is the right man to lead the county. “There is only one man in this race who has ever really fought for you,” the Republican vice presidential nominee told more than 10,000 people packed into the city ballpark. The crowd cheered so loudly that risers holding the national news media cameras shook. But the local gathering showed how loud the crowd could

As the campaign enters its final days, we can develop a good sense of where the campaigns think they stand. That's because campaigns have two scarce resources. The first is money. We can't track money directly, but we can track what it is buying - namely, television advertisements. Thanks to Nielson, we know that McCain-Palin has recently focused its ad buys on Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. Meanwhile, its ad buys are being scaled back in Colorado.

Palin and Joe the Plumber on Fire RUSH: Sarah Palin was on WMAL today, our affiliate in the nation's capital. She was on with Chris Plante this morning, and he said to her, "Is the news media doing their job? Are you getting a fair shake?" PALIN: If they convince enough voters that that is negative campaigning for me to call Barack Obama out on his associations, then I don't know what the future of our country would be in terms of First Amendment rights and our ability to ask questions without fear of attacks by the mainstream media. 10.31.08: Barack Obama leads John McCain by 4 points, 45% to 41%, in a poll just released by the Florida Chamber of Commerce. This response shows considerable movement in Florida's electorate since the last Florida Chamber poll, conducted October 1st, in which the McCain ticket lead Obama by 3 points, 45% to 42%. Pollsters for the powerful business group contacted 601 likely voters from Oct. 26-27 and the poll has a margin of error of 4 percentage points. The poll also shows 9 percent of Floridians are undecided -- a total that's a bit higher than most other surveys --...

A Halloween Day poll shows John McCain trailing Barack Obama by one point in the “toss-up” states that could decide Tuesday’s presidential election. The George Washington University Battleground Poll gives Obama and running mate Joe Biden 47 percent, with 46 percent for McCain and running mate Sarah Palin in those states and 4 percent undecided. The campaigns are focusing advertising and visits in those battleground states. California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger will appear with McCain on Friday in Columbus, Ohio. McCain and Palin also have stops planned over the next few days in Florida, Virginia, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Iowa. The...
