Greg Abbott vetoed funding for the Texas Legislature after the state House Democratic caucus walked out to avoid a vote on an election integrity bill late last month. Am I losing my mind? Donald Trump gives me the creeps at times. He offends my Christianity. His persona turns me off. He can be all other the map in terms of consistent principles. But there is something inside of me that wants him to kick the stuffing out of the powers that be. Even though I am a Cruz man I could see myself voting for the guy. Am I losing my mind?

CLINTON — A Clinton woman shot and killed a man who broke into her house early Wednesday, an East Feliciana Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesman said. Sheriff’s detective Don McKey said Arthur Sanford, 44, 11808 Clarence St., Clinton, died from a gunshot wound suffered during a struggle with the woman, who was beaten and apparently stabbed during the confrontation. The shooting occurred about 2:20 a.m. at the woman’s residence on Plank Road less than a mile south of Clinton’s corporate limits.
