A Florida woman who was arrested for pulling a small alligator out of her yoga pants during a traffic stop pleaded guilty to illegally possessing animals and was sentenced to probation, authorities said. The woman, 25-year-old Ariel Machan-Le Quire, was arrested in May when she and 22-year-old Michael Clemons were pulled over by Charlotte County cops after Clemons ran a stop sign, according to police.

MIDDLETOWN— A 42-year-old man was caught attempting to steal $865 worth of nail polish from a CVS pharmacy on Washington Street last week, police said. Marco Gonzalez had stuffed 102 bottles of Essie and Sally Hansen brand nail polishes into his sweatshirt, which he had tucked into his pants.

OKMULGEE, Okla. (AP) - The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a portable methamphetamine lab exploded in a man’s pants as he tried to run away from a state trooper during a traffic stop. DEL RIO — A Texas man caught trying to smuggle baby parrots back from Mexico by putting the birds in his pants has been fined more than $2,600. U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials said Thursday that agents in Del Rio also confiscated 56 blades that are used for cockfighting. Authorities said the 33-year-old man is from the West Texas town of Comanche but did not release his name. Birds cannot be brought across the border due to concerns of spreading disease. A cash-strapped 18-year-old man from northern Sweden was found leaving a sex shop with a nipple chain hidden in his pants after his lack of funds prompted him to pilfer the trinket for his girlfriend. A Columbia Heights man was arrested for allegedly stealing a 19-inch television – by shoving it down his pants. Twenty-one-year-old Eric Lee King was walking out of an Eagan business on Dec. 5, 2011, when he dropped a box of candy in the parking lot. An Eagan police officer was in the area and let King know, but King kept walking as if he didn’t hear the officer, according to the complaint. A 46-year-old woman pleaded guilty Monday to hiding a stolen mink coat in her underwear. Stephanie Moreland was arrested New Year’s Eve by Bloomington Police after the Alaskan Fur Company reported a short mink coat was stolen by a woman who had been in the store and acting suspiciously. Moreland pleaded guilty to one count of felony theft of property. Police say she hid the mink coat in her underwear for three days while being questioned by police in jail. The coat was valued at $6,500.

Spring Hill, Florida - Hernando County Sheriff's deputies say a man tried to steal six steaks, Vaseline and pomegranate juice by stuffing them in his shorts. Employees at Publix say they saw Mark Alan Belkola, 51, select "six individual packs of steaks" and conceal them down the front of his shorts, according to the offense report. The Publix is located on the 4,100 block of Mariner Boulevard in Spring Hill. Deputies say they also found Vaseline and a bottle of Pomegranate juice in Belkola's shorts pocket.

A Myrtle Beach man was arrested Saturday morning after police said he tried to steal an 18-pack of beer, according to a report. Kevin J. Jackson, 31, is charged with shoplifting and was taken to the Myrtle Beach Jail. An employee of the Scotchman on Third Avenue South said he confronted Jackson, who placed an 18-pack of Budweiser in the front of his pants and fled the scene.
