So many people have the ideas of the breed of dogs called "pittbulls". This bread had a very bad rap and who gives it to them is the people who poorly raise them and poeple who judge. I have been an american terrier owner all my life and they are the best dogs. They scored higher then little yap dogs and german sheapards are temparment test 82%. People need to stop being ignorate and just let them be. They get used for fighting and are torchered beyond belief. Look on Bad Rap web site and read the stories of this...

Before my upgrade, a right click on the mouse over a highlighted misspelled word gave me a list of alternative spelling. Now, it pastes the last thing I copied. I'd like to get back to spell checking, any ideas.

Most local school districts are not planning to broadcast President Barack Obama's speech to students Tuesday live in their classrooms. The typical approach is that of the Chester School District, which has opted to record the noon broadcast and make the recording available afterward to teachers who want to show it, rather than interrupt classes with a live showing. The Monroe-Woodbury School District is also recording the speech for potential viewing in kindergarten through eighth grade, while giving high school teachers the option of showing the speech live if it's pertinent to their courses. The White House has described the...

The simple fact is, like Spock who was part human, the Bomba is part white, and as such has none of the deepness or morals and grit that Martin Luther King did..... Indeed, the democrats would never have elected MLK because he would have thrown them out.....he would never have stood for the broken promises and the corruption that the dems embrace.... Acorn would have offended him, Barny and the boys would have been seen for what they were: crooked politicians milking the country for their own benefit.... The Civil righters would have lost face because MLK would have turned...

I apologize for the shameless vanity, but I'm going to propose a thread for today: Your pet peeves about others' grammar on FR. I'm not innocent. But, can we please use apostrophes for possessives and not use apostrophes for plurals? Please chime in with your pet peeves. Possessive Example: Correct: My dog's bone is in the yard. Incorrect: My dogs bone is in the yard. Plural Example: Correct: My dogs are in the yard. Incorrect: My dog's are in the yard. Admin Mod: Please move this thread as appropriate.

Romney was just interviewed on Fox and Friends and said that it was unfair that that the Big Three American Automakers were burdened by the high retirement costs and that we had to "make sure those cost were shared by the transplants (Toyota, Honda, VW etc.).

I am just a regular guy living in Ohio. But I think there are some things that need to be said. I believe I speak for the GOP out here in the midwest. I have been rubbing my hands together waiting for the right time to post this. I have some butt to chew. After watching the McCain Campaign throw Sarah under the bus today. My teeth are ready to sink in. These are the people that need destroyed and tossed from the GOP right now. 1. Steve Schmidt and Nicole Wallace. Your political careers are now over. You are...

To give people a better understanding of what we are up against if Obama wins, I thought I'd give people a glimpse at some of the wonderful replies I've received from those tolerant open minded inclusive liberals. To the rest of you who gave me the majority of messages, all great BTW, thanks! Some of the following messages came from Youtube, my email and my blog. I deleted a few of them since they were greatly offensive. Here is one from a nice wonderful liberal no doubt from Daily Kos or Democratic Underground from freerepublicsucks@hotmail.com BARACK OBAMA IS GOING TO...

If you had a business, small or large, or even a mom-and-pop type store, which you are planning to expand, or even if you have an idea for starting a new business, what are you going to do with those plans? Given that this is currently a rough environment, it may not be a good idea to either expand or start a new business, no matter who ends up being president. My belief is that, with Obama, the business nvironment will be even more gloomy than it is currently. So, if Obama ends up being president, and with the xpectation...

You know who you are. You're the one posting stupid comments about what a loser Johnny is. You're the one getting on the political chat shows and telling everyone that you think Obama is super great and that he's going to win! Yeay! And your supposed to be a conservative. Why don't you shut up! I'm talking to all the whiners who piled on and joined the Chris Matthews bandwagon and declared Johnny an old man and a big dull loser. He did fine last night. He was the boss on foreign policy. He's never been a dazzling public speaker...

A fyoo duhzen ambishuhss intelectchooals, a handful ov British skool teechers and wuhn rokit siuhntist ar triing to chang the way we spel. They are the leaders of the spelling-reform movement, a passionate but sporadic 800-year-old campaign to simplify English orthography. In its long and failure-ridden history, the movement has tried to convince an indifferent public of the need for a spelling system based on pronunciation. Reformers, including Mark Twain, Charles Darwin and Theodore Roosevelt, argued that phonetic spellings would make it easier for children, foreigners and adults with learning disabilities to read and write. For centuries, few listened, and...

When are Liberals going to get it? The result of the past several elections show that the country is very nearly split 50-50 and yet liberal movie stars and musicians go out and bash Republicans. Why deliberately poke the eye of 50% of your potential market - Econ 101 anyone? As a result movie revenues are down, concert tickets aren't selling (Dixie Chicks) major contracts are not being renewed. The same with news outlets. The NY Time, LA Times, WAPO, etc. are all reporting declining revenue and profits. Gee, is there any link to the fact that they go out...

A recent article in the UK Telegraph offered insights into the many ways that Islamists in Baghdad are making life, by increments, miserable for citizens of the city. Ice producers, crucial in helping people survive in Iraq’s 115 degree summer heat, have recently suffered several murders from their ranks. The reason: Their product was not available during the time of Mohammed. Street venders who sell the popular Middle Eastern food falafel have also lost two of their own in the past few weeks, with other venders now closing their stalls. The same reason is offered by the Islamists, namely, that...

I wrote my Rep John Culberson here in Texas. I asked that we protect the free expression of religion on public property. I feel it is important because our Forefathers gave us God given rights (Inalienable rights). If God is removed from public view, who will remember that we have God given rights and no man or government can take these rights away? It is important to show that we are not pleased with a Judge or anyone who rules over our God given rights. My Congressman wrote back and said he is a cosponsor of H J Res 57....

Today a new ping list is starting on FreeRepublic, called TechSupport it will be a place for Freepers to get some help on problems that ight arise on their computers. Why a list for this: Some of the freepers who run or are involved in technical ping list find themselves with a good deal of mail from people asing about problems that many freepers might be able to and have more time to help with. I have spoken to a few people who either run list or are involved on them and they fell this would accomplish three things. Firstly...

Brokeback Mountain author Annie Proulx recalls a bitter night at the Oscars.ON THE sidewalk stood hordes of the righteous, some leaning forward like wind-bent grasses, the better to deliver their imprecations against gays and fags to the open windows of the limos - the windows open by order of the security people - creeping towards the Kodak Theatre for the 78th Academy Awards. Others held up sturdy, professionally crafted signs expressing the same hatred. The red carpet in front of the theatre was larger than the Red Sea. Inside, we climbed grand staircases designed for showing off dresses. The circular...

Killing many of th innocent does not uphold what the Constituion clearly wnats in severe regards. Before we bust out the .50 caliber rifles and start shooting people from a mile away it’s important to know exactly who we’re talking about. Your parents, the baby boomers, are between 40 and 60 years old. They “stopped a war.” They “can’t remember the 60s” and they ruined everything for every generation to come. Though their politics were knee-jerk liberal 25 years ago, today they combine the worst of both parties. They pretend to be Democrats but secretly vote Republican at the last second so they don’t have to pay taxes on the incredible amount of income they’ve accrued...

who needs freedom anyway? I mean, look at what it's doen to us. America has more crime, more poverty, and more problems than any other country in the world all beacuse of freedom. The freedom to do what we want but shouldn't there be limits? Especially now that we are at war? Allowing the liberals to smear our soldiers and to sympathize with arabs is demoralizing. We never had this problem in WWII. We just threw them into camps if they messed up. Back when this country was young, we had no freedom. Everyone went to church, women did what...

Ray McGovern a 27-year senior CIA intelligence analyst has exposed the lies of the Neocons and the Israeli-controlled foreign policy of the United States. The session took an awkward turn when witness Ray McGovern, a former intelligence analyst, declared that the United States went to war in Iraq for oil, Israel and military bases craved by administration “Neocons” so “the United States and Israel could dominate that part of the world.” He said that Israel should not be considered an ally and that Bush was doing the bidding of Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon. “Israel is not allowed to be...

Hello, i got here thru a link and started to read, i like the "intellegent" debate. if i have to label myself, then i am a liberal. Who happens to share common views with consrvatives and other people. the only difference between a liberal and conservative in my opinion is that while both may have the same views, a liberal is not going to use legislation to force his/her views onto others. I like to spout my opinion, and encourage others to do the same, thats what america is about! thats how things get done for the good of the...

IRAQ - U.S. soldiers have detained in Iraq two Russian citizens among over 1,000 foreigners, Russian Information Agency Novosti reported. The other detainees are from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Syria and Yemen. A special committee including officials from the Human Rights, Interior and Justice Ministries, and of the coalition command will consider the cases of the detained foreigners, Amin said. He noted that Iraq was not going to extradite the detainees to their home countries. The organization, representing over 1,200 IT professionals nationwide, presents this award to business and political leaders who it believes betray the trust of the American people. It's really annoying. Is there any good calander/scheduler ont the net that anyone can reccomend? Does Mozilla have one? Thanks
