A moose was spotted in a parking lot at Bradley Airport this morning and it was captured on video. The moose got trapped in the parking lot of Enterprise Rent-A-Car at Bradley International Airport and Route 20 was briefly shut down while a team of Troopers, East Granby police and a crew from Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection corralled it back to open woods and swamp land. Moose are the largest members of the deer family.

Captured in this video, the great white moose, the most majestic creature you’ve ever seen. We’ve seen our fair share of odd-colored animals, including a blue lobster and blue lingcod, but this all white, albino moose might take the cake. Check it out . . . even the velvet on the growing antlers is snow white! This majestic looking moose is basically equivalent to an Alaskan unicorn, and the fact that human population is so small in Alaska, makes this footage even more rare. This is a good reason why you should always have a camera on hand anytime you’re...

Dear Sister and Viking Kitty, Yes, I've been gone a long time. You see-- I was determined to become a professional blogger here at FreeRepublic. But after carefully juggling many electrons into halfway (halfwit?) decent posts, Jim 'Swiss Family' Robinson told me that I was not actually blogging, because FR is a FORUM, not a blog. I was stuned. Stymied. And, he told me he wasn't going to pay me for my posts or my barbed wire--and neither should I--taxpayer dollars should have built that wall decades ago. SO ..instead of getting a blogger stipend, I donated to FReepathons. Hope...

Last week, 117 "members of the Republican national security community" signed an open letter condemning Donald Trump. It made me think the bellicose billionaire, the front-runner for the Republican presidential nomination, is not quite as bad as I thought. "His vision of American influence and power in the world is wildly inconsistent and unmoored in principle," the letter complains. "He swings from isolationism to military adventurism within the space of one sentence." Although there is some truth to that critique, an inconsistent skepticism of foreign intervention is better than none at all. That is why I have trouble agreeing with...

Donald Trump continues his dominance in the southern states by picking up Louisiana handily over Sens. Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio.  With 46 delegates, Louisiana has many of the same demographics as Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, and Tennessee.   #LousianaPrimary for the GOP with 7% in. #SuperSaturday pic.twitter.com/gG7pZy9hnZ— Fox News (@FoxNews) March 6, 2016

I have been a radio talk show host for 33 years, nationally syndicated for 18. I have never experienced anything similar to what I am experiencing now. Until recently, the only hate mail I ever received was from a small number people on the left. The major reason for this, I am convinced, is that I don't yell at callers and I treat callers who disagree with respect. Reading my emails these days is a brand new experience. I receive hate mail, sometimes laced with obscenities, from Republicans.

After months of debate and public comments, President Obama’s controversial Clean Power Plan (CPP) was issued in August 2015 and published in the Federal Register on October 23, 2015. But that is hardly the end of the story. Instead the saga is just beginning—with the ending to be written sometime in 2017 and the outcome highly dependent on who resides in the White House. The CPP is the newest set of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations that the Atlantic states: “anchors the Obama administration’s climate-change policy. It seeks to guide local utilities away from coal-fired electricity generation, and toward renewable...

  • Trump Derangement Syndrome Turns Into Treason - The real threat we face is not from Trump's rhetoric

The stakes in 2016 are huge and the party is fractured. The rhetoric reflects a Trump Derangement Syndrome in which Trump is either a monster or a savior, instead of a politician. On the left, Bush Derangement Syndrome expressed itself in the conviction that he was unalterably and uniquely worse than every other president and would get around to declaring martial law and ruling forever. The danger of exaggeration is that previously unacceptable views suddenly become acceptable. Bush Derangement Syndrome made it acceptable for Democrats to descend into open treason by making common cause with Saddam Hussein, the Sunni terrorist...

On a recent cold night, I decided to wash some dishes. My wife and I live in a little dry cabin up near Hatcher Pass, which is to say we don’t have running water. So I put a big pot on the propane stove to heat, rousted the dogs and took the 5-gallon bucket of dirty dishwater from under the sink to go dump it in the outhouse.
  • Did Trump Bankroll Planned Parenthood Abortionists?

Is that why he refuses to release his tax returns? After it was revealed this summer that Planned Parenthood was selling the organs and body parts of aborted human beings to biotech companies, Donald Trump said he wasn't sure if the organization should lose its federal funding. He even went out of his way to praise Planned Parenthood's good work. Meet the Press host Chuck Todd found Trump's stance interesting, so he asked Trump if he had ever been a Planned Parenthood donor. "It's possible," Trump replied. TODD: You were pretty--you were somewhat defending Planned Parenthood earlier this week. It...
  • Pro-Trump white nationalist robocall: ‘Don’t vote for a Cuban’

A white nationalist super PAC has a new independent robocall campaign urging voters in Minnesota and Vermont not to vote for a "Cuban" and instead support Donald Trump. Trump is battling Cuban-Americans Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz for the Republican presidential nomination. The robocall, which says it wasn't authorized by Trump, was released by the American National PAC and the group's founder, William Johnson, who describes himself in the call as "a farmer and white nationalist." "The white race is dying out in America and Europe because we are afraid to be called 'racist,'" Johnson says in the call. "Donald...

t was a busy day for "aggressive elk" in Harstad, with police reporting two separate incidents within a four hour span. A group of daycare children’s afternoon took a turn for the dramatic in Harstad on Tuesday when what police described as “an aggressive elk” ran toward the kids while they were out on a walk. In true rugged Norwegian fashion, the quick-thinking kids were able to quickly put the animal in its place, according to a Nordland police spokeswoman. “The kids threw snowballs at it or something like that,” Grete Birkeland told Dagbladet. Birkeland said that she thinks the...

Colorado Parks and Wildlife released video of officers assisting a bull moose whose antlers became tangled in the tops of a backyard swing. The department posted a video to Facebook showing the trapped moose swinging back and forth on the rope while trying to avoid the officers in a Summit County backyard. CPW said officers decided after several hours to subdue the moose with a Taser, as using tranquilizing drugs on a moose showing signs of stress could prove deadly for the animal. The Taser stunned the moose for long enough to allow officers to cut the rope and free...

Prince Charles in Paris on Monday. Photo: AFP Britain's Prince Charles said on Monday that he feared for the very existence of traditional French cheeses as he received a prize in Paris for his long-term commitment to organic farming. Having spoken earlier at the opening of the key UN climate talks outside Paris, the heir to the throne was awarded the Francois Rabelais prize by France's institute of sciences and arts, named after the Renaissance scholar and physician. Charles told an audience of distinguished scientists under the institute's domed roof in the French capital: "The distinctiveness of local cuisine is...
