In a move reminiscent of the moral panics against Elvis Presley, Little Richard, and rock ‘n roll in the 1950s, the Chinese Communist Party is vowing to get tough on effeminate men because “revolutionary culture” is in danger.

The Chicoms are a little vague on who or what constitutes “sissy men,” but the real goal of the directive is to eliminate pop culture influences from South Korea and Japan and reinforce traditional Chinese Communist Party views on morality.

On Tuesday night, during a montage of women who have served in both the Trump administration and campaigns, the anti-Trump phony conservative Lincoln Project tweeted that “Kayleigh McEnany is the first ghoul to serve as Press Secretary.” They deleted it only a minute later. This happened just the day after the group deleted another tweet claiming that an RNC audience member yelled “monkey” in reference to former President Barack Obama, which would’ve been an obvious racial slur. Even though the audio clearly said “spygate,” the phony “principled conservatives” still accused President Trump of enjoying the non-existent insult. While claiming to...

Last week, in the New York Post, Kyle Smith made a thoughtful argument that, in the COVID-19 era, “the woke virus,” too, “is spreading faster than ever.” He quoted a statement on Twitter by actress Fran Drescher that the Chinese virus is a product of capitalism; he noted the “vomitatious ‘Imagine’ video praising open borders, socialism and atheism” that was posted online by Gal Gadot and other C-list celebrities in response to the pandemic; and he cited inane claims by various activists that the coronavirus disproportionately disadvantages women or people of color. “Next year,” Smith concluded, “there will probably be...

The powers that be at CNN were in full outrage mode yesterday after Republican Sen. Martha McSally called Manu Raju, one of their congressional correspondents, a “liberal hack,” and refused to answer his questions. After the incident, much of the minimal airtime left over from trashing Donald Trump all day was expended in defense of Raju and the network, which they clearly feel, has been unfairly besmirched. I’ve got two words for them: toughen up. A statement from their PR department said, “It is extremely unbecoming for a U.S. Senator to sink to this level and treat a member of...

In January 2018 the Oxford English Dictionary added to its normal definition of what has traditionally been a flake of snow, a feathery ice crystal. Now the OED snowflake is an overly sensitive or easily offended person or persons who believe they are entitled to special treatment on account of their supposedly unique characteristics. Life for them comes, or should come, with trigger warnings and safe spaces. Trigger warnings are needed to alert people that a text or image may be disturbing or upsetting. These were proposed at Cambridge University concerning Shakespeare, because of the sexual violence in some of...

The Denver Broncos saved some of their best defense for after the game. At issue: boss John Elway labeling them soft. It didn’t sit too well with a few of the players, though others welcomed the critique. Yet the comments didn’t stoke the necessary fire, either, as the Broncos lost 20-17 to the Cincinnati Bengals, extending their losing streak to six games. “None of us are soft,” said linebacker Brandon Marshall, whose team met Saturday night to discuss the remarks by their Hall of Fame QB turned general manager. “For him to call us soft, it just rubbed us the...

The phrase, “Well, poop!” actually has wider applicability than just the obvious within America today: gender-specific, neutral or sexually unidentifiable restrooms in public places. The phrase certainly can be applied to this election season. Heaven help the candidate who while trying to address an issue of concern to most voters inadvertently strays during an expansive moment and trips over a political mouth-block. There will be no mention of what the candidate was talking about or responding to. What will happen, however, is a series of seemingly never-ending, mouse-clicky, blood-thirsty “news” headlines feeding off the most mindless and insignificant element of...

http://hotair.com/archives/2015/10/23/icymi-republicans-have-no-official-plan-to-raise-the-debt-ceiling/ Reaching a deal with Democrats would infuriate conservative GOP lawmakers who prefer a fight, but it shows the speaker no longer feels beholden to the party’s hard-right flank, which forced his early retirement. “The speaker has made it clear that he wants to solve some outstanding issues before he leaves,” said a Boehner aide, who was not authorized to discuss the private deliberations. “No decisions have been made, but a resolution on the debt ceiling is certainly possible.” In the Senate, GOP Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky said Tuesday the “preference” was not to simply raise the debt...

On Friday, police on Mackinac Island, Michigan said they are investigating allegations of a bar fight between top aides for Republican presidential contenders Rand Paul and Marco Rubio. John Yob, a Paul aide, alleged in a Facebook post that Rubio deputy campaign manager Rich Beeson hit him at a bar on Mackinac Island, where a number of Republican candidates have gathered for the weekend. Yob alleged in his post that he had video of Beeson assaulting him. He later provided that video to CNN. Mackinac Island Police Chief Brett Riccinto said he had not yet seen the video and wanted...

Time Magazine has declared that men who are able to sit and not cross their legs are a “manifestation of patriarchal privilege.” In an article called, “‘Man Spreaders,’ There’s No Excuse for Not Closing Your Legs on the Subway,” Time’s Etiquette section slammed men who do not sit with their legs together. But more than it being impolite and against etiquette, there is a much bigger problem with men like this: they are proliferating “the patriarchy.” The article explains that men sitting with their legs apart “is the most visual manifestation of patriarchal privilege and that is why it is...

The head of the Fritz Pollard Alliance, which monitors diversity in the NFL, expects the league to institute a rule where players would be penalized 15 yards for using the N-word on the field. John Wooten, the head of the Fritz Pollard Alliance, anticipates that the NFL's competition committee will enact the rule at the owners' meeting next month. "We did talk about it, I'm sure that you saw near the end of the year that Fritz Pollard (Alliance) came out very strong with the message that the league needs to do something about the language on the field," said...

Guantanamo Bay Prisoners Were Tortured With Sesame Street Guantanamo Bay prisoners were reportedly tortured with the sounds of children’s Sesame Street songs, in an attempt to get them to talk. Al Jazeera reports that Thomas Keenan, a human rights researcher, explained that: “Prisoners were forced to put on headphones. They were attached to chairs, headphones were attached to their heads, and they were left alone just with the music for very long periods of time. Sometimes hours, even days on end, listening to repeated loud music.” Christopher Cerf, the award-winning composer of the songs used to torture prisoners at both...

MANCHESTER, N.H. — Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich called a truce Monday and vowed to run a positive campaign, saying his and his opponents’ shared goal of defeating President Barack Obama in 2012 was more important than winning the nomination. Speaking at an event hosted by the Southern New Hampshire 9/12 Project, Gingrich said he planned to communicate this resolution to his staffers, consultants, and even the Super PACs supporting him, in a letter to be sent on Tuesday. Mitt Romney, calling out Newt Gingrich this morning for his ties to Fannie and Freddie and calling on him to return all the money he got from them. FOX HOST BRIAN KILMEADE: Do you believe he's a lobbyist and do you believe that since he took from Fannie and Freddie.... do you believe he should give that money back? ROMNEY: Boy, I sure do. He was on a debate saying that politicians who took money from Freddie and Fannie should go to jail; I mean, which is outrageous in itself. But look, he says he was in a consulting business?...

(Sprague-WTNH) _ The bitter cold weather we're expecting tonight will give some students in Sprague an extended weekend, and students in Bridgeport and Ridgefield an extra hour to get ready for school. School officials in Sprague have canceled class on Friday. There's only one school in this district. It's the Sayles School at 25 Scotland Road in Baltic, a pre-K through 8th grade school. According to the Sprague superintendent's office, school was canceled because of the cold wind chill, and officials don't want children standing at the bus stop to be exposed to frost bite. St. Joseph's school in Baltic...

Until recently, many children who did not conform to gender norms in their clothing or behavior and identified intensely with the opposite sex were steered to psychoanalysis or behavior modification. But as advocates gain ground for what they call gender-identity rights, evidenced most recently by New York City’s decision to let people alter the sex listed on their birth certificates, a major change is taking place among schools and families. Children as young as 5 who display predispositions to dress like the opposite sex are being supported by a growing number of young parents, educators and mental health professionals. Doctors,...

(CBS4) ATTLEBORO Children at the Willett Elementary School in Attleboro are not allowed to play tag, touch football or any games involving contact during recess. Prinicpal Gaylene Heppe cited the safety risks and the school's liability in case of injury as reasons for the recess ban. Heppe, who is in her second year as principal, told CBS4 the ban is not new and has been in effect for years. "I was surprised....I think they should be allowed to. I used to run and chase, play kickball, dodgeball, all that," said parent Colleen Bischoff. Critics of the policy said it's just...
