For this experiment, we froze Vienna Sausages using dry ice to see if we could shoot them from a shotgun. Using Federal Multipurpose (birdshot) loads, we cut off the crimps, and inserted the frozen wieners in the shell, starting out with small pieces and ending up shooting the whole thing. The results are unexpected and scary.

The FBI has released their 2007-2011 “Murder Victims by Weapon” report. The results are contradictory to anti-gun industry claims that relaxing the ban on assault weapons will cause more crime. The report indicates you are more likely to be killed by hands or feet than by a rifle or shotgun. A Tacoma homeowner shot a man who had broken into his house in the face on Tuesday, police said. The incident occurred near South 14th Street and Madison Street. The homeowner was on the phone with 911 as the suspect was breaking into the home about 6 p.m. When he entered, the homeowner shot the suspected burglar in the face with a gun loaded with bird shot. The injured man was transported to St. Joseph Hospital in Tacoma. His injuries are life-threatening.
