Virtuality, the upcoming Fox sci-fi "movie" that began life as a series pilot, centers on the starship Phaeton, which is on a 10-year mission to a distant star, and its troubled crew, who make use of "virtual reality modules" to stave off boredom and psychological issues on the way. But in talking exclusively with cast member Erik Jensen, who plays ship's engineer Dr. Jules Braun, we learn a bit more about how the VR modules bring the crew members' inner turmoil to life in disturbing ways.

As rumored on Collider.com, Futurama will return to TV on Comedy Central six years after being axed by Fox, Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello reported. A spokesperson for 20th Century Fox Television confirmed the pickup to Ausiello, who reported that the cable network has ordered 26 new episodes of Matt Groening and David X. Cohen's animated series, to begin airing in 2010. Ausiello could have credited Collider with being the first to break the news, but whatever. Yay! New Futurama!

The struggling project had originally been set to air July 4 First CG supervisor Doug Drexler posted in his blog that "Virtuality" was alive (although he would later clarify that to say there was no word on a series) but now there seems to be even more life in a possible "Virtuality" series: Fox has moved the airing of the pilot away from a holiday to a Friday night.
