... Six or seven times as much outgoing radiation is escaping to space per unit change in sea surface temperature as the UN’s models predicted. This is a discrepancy of astonishing magnitude. But perhaps the most astonishing thing about this analysis is that no one had thought of performing it before it was carried out by Professor Richard Lindzen at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Lindzen’s results are as close to a direct measurement of climate sensitivity as it is possible to get. Measurement is a brilliantly simple method, unquestionably superior to projection based on assumption. In any rational world,...

An Oopart (Out Of Place ARTifact) is a term applied to dozens of prehistoric objects found in various places around the world that, given their level of technology, are completely at odds with their determined age based on physical, chemical, and/or geological evidence. Ooparts often are frustrating to conventional scientists and a delight to adventurous investigators and individuals interested in alternative scientific theories. In 1991, the appearance of extremely tiny, coil-shaped artifacts found near the banks of Russia’s Kozhim, Narada, and Balbanyu rivers brought about a debate that has continued to this day. These mysterious and minuscule structures suggest that...

for example, from his rant against big bottled water: "... the huge soda companies decided to sell you bottled water which is from the same source as tap water, but guess what? when you sell it as natural and in a bottle, it's unregulated. at least tap water is regulated." this from a guy who is currently fined up to his eye balls as a result of pimping unregulated natural supplements for every disease imagineable, while blasting regulated big pharma. shameless.

These are my notes for Climate Change Justice from the Georgetown Law Journal and written by Eric A. Posner and Obama's Regulatory czar Cass R. Sunstein. I tweeted them on Twitter, so they are in abbreviated form. Sunstein: p1 Intro: US must reduce production of greenhouse gasses cuz we are a wealthy nation & other nations are poor Sunstein: p1 Intro: "Corrective justice"= existing “stock” of greenhouse gas is from past actions of the US. Thus, US should reduce it. Sunstein: p1567 para 2: w/ their emissions, US & China committing tortious acts against other nations & regions Sunstein: p1567...

Well known climate change expert Lord Christopher Monckton has read the treaty to be signed at Copenhagen. He deduces that it will result in a one world communist government. He notes that if Obama signs the treaty our Constitution has to follow it. There would be a shift of wealth from the west to the east and America would bankroll the whole thing. Here is a clip from his speech given on Oct. 14th 2009

I know Dart is extending light rail to D/FW Airport. Which is going to be great. Still, I can't help but wish Dallas would be on the cutting edge of something like this. Why aren't we building a high-speed airport train? We've talked about state-wide high-speed rail, but what about local high-speed train? How cool would it be to have a bullet train that goes from downtown Dallas to downtown Ft. Worth at over 125 mph? I'd take it. Comments Posted by Jeffrey J. Brown @ 7:58 AM Fri, Oct 16, 2009 This past weekend, at a conference in Denver,...

Regardless of whether global warming is taking place or caused to any degree by human activity, we do not want a global government empowered to tax Americans without elected representation or anything analogous to constitutional protections. The Founding Fathers would roll over in their graves if they knew their progeny allowed a foreign power such authority, effectively undoing their every effort in an act of Anti-American Revolution. If that is our imminent course, we need to put all else on hold and focus on stopping it. If American sovereignty is ceded, all other debate is irrelevant

Science and skeptical bloggers A small article in last week’s Science magazine frets that skeptical bloggers are teasing climate scientists over their failed predictions. Bloggers are pointing out that actual temperatures have not been friendly to climatologists, and have failed to rise as predicted. Some climate scientists respond by effectively saying: have no fear, warming is on its way—and this time we mean it! Climate forecast failures? Since 1999, most climate model predictions have been too high by a factor of about 3. Plus, actual temperatures have been decreasing, or at least not increasing. Yet the belief in the accuracy...

I rarely use this platform to present my spiritual beliefs–not because I feel they’re unworthy of conversation, but because I have made this blog an avenue to dispense political wisdom, nothing more. This video, however, was so powerful that I felt there may be more than a few who receive a blessing or warning, depending on your individual spiritual condition.

Losing Their Religion: 2009 officially declared year media lost their faith in man-made global warming fears Tuesday, October 13, 2009 - By Marc Morano – Climate Depot Climate Depot Editorial - Serving as the Media's Ombudsman It has finally happened. We have reached the “tipping point.” 2009 can now be officially declared the year the media lost their faith in man-made global warming fears. Significant organs of the mainstream media are now officially abandoning one-sided man-made global warming fear promotion and alleged claims that the "debate is over." The stunning media reversal has accelerated in recent weeks as top UN...

Increasingly, the Old Media appears to be engaged in satire and here is another story that could serve as an example of it. ABC News has published a purportedly serious story claiming that global warming "helps" the Taliban and al Qaeda in Afghanistan and terrorists all over the world. For ABC, writer Bill Blakemore makes the leap of logic that droughts and other climate situations in countries in which the U.S. Military is engaged is "man made." Speaking about military studies that have been conducted into how climate is affecting the military situation, Blakemore writes, "a number of U.S. intelligence...

When the BBC finally ‘fessed up last week to the Global Warming Fraud -- without admitting how much they aided and abetted the scam over ten years or more -- a liberal gent I know was shocked. He had sort of gritted his teeth and tolerated my skepticism over the years, but he never wanted to judge the whole fraudulent business for himself, although he had plenty of qualifications to do so. But this fraud was obvious. You had to want to close your eyes not to see it. I say that with all appreciation to the scientists and bloggers...

What global warming? Riddle me this, boys and girls — what was the hottest year on record? 2008? 2007? Try 1998. “This headline may come as a bit of a surprise, so too might that fact that the warmest year recorded globally was not in 2008 or 2007, but in 1998. But it is true. For the last 11 years we have not observed any increase in global temperatures. And our climate models did not forecast it, even though man-made carbon dioxide, the gas thought to be responsible for warming our planet, has continued to rise.” So, just to reiterate,...

As I posted Saturday, the world (including the BBC) is beginning to wake up to the nonsensical idiocy of the Chicken Little crowd at the MDI*. This being fact however, High Priest Al Gore is continuing on his quest to brow beat the world. He nearly did it, but he is beginning to fall short. In a speech given in Wisconsin to push his moronic theories, Gore was protested by an estimated 200 skeptics. Also during a “rare” question and answer period, Gore was asked by an Irish film maker to address the 9 inaccuracies in his film identified by...

Under the cap and trade scheme advocated by Democrats, the federal government would set a limit on the amount of a pollutant that could be emitted. If a company plans to exceed the government cap, it would have to purchase credits from a company that has polluted less. And the fun part is they wouldn't be able to buy the credits directly from the other company, they would have to do it through the US Government. This cap and trade is just another big government tax program. Some studies have said that the plan will increase your household energy bill...

In a recent TED Talk, Evgeny Morozov, founder of the news aggregator Polymeme (now on hiatus) and leading thinker on the political implications of the internet, makes that very assertion. This is a fascinating video, wherein Morozov implies that dictatorships and other authoritarian regimes deftly utilize the internet to create the illusion of free speech, relegating it to the role of a new opium for the masses.

French agents have arrested a researcher from Europe's top atomic lab on suspicion of links to al-Qaeda, fuelling fears that terrorists could be targeting the nuclear industry. The 32-year-old man, who was detained along with his brother, works for the prestigious European Organisation for Nuclear Research (Cern) in Geneva, Switzerland, according to French police sources. ''The inquiry will doubtless say what were the objectives in France or elsewhere and indicate perhaps that we have avoided the worst possible scenario,'' said Brice Hortefeux, the French Interior Minister. An intelligence source told Le Figaro that ''this is a very high level'' case....

Sponsored search results lead to malware By Susan Bradley The ads served by Bing and Google along with your search results are linking more and more often to sites trying to infect your machine. Neither Bing nor Google effectively prescreens these bogus advertisers, so it's up to us to detect and avoid them. You may recently have used either Google or Microsoft's new Bing search engine to find the popular Malwarebytes Anti-Malware utility. If so, chances are good that the sponsored ads alongside your search results contained links to the very malware that the security tool is designed to remove....

Oslo, Norway- An American, Paul Erlich of The Stanford Butterfly Collector’s Club, was awarded the 2009 Nobel prize for his book positing the inevitability of a “population bomb” in his book of the same name. Written in 1968 the epic scientific tome portends of a future in which population growth will far exceed the planets capacity to provide for resources enough to sustain humanity. The book further predicted that the resultant rampant famine and boredom would lead to the starvation of trillions of people during the 1970’s and the end of all humanity no later than the spring of 1985....

The latest issue of Jonwar Chodu, the famous Indian science journal, outlined in its feature article “Carbon free organics” a way to reduce or even eliminate the amount of carbon in the organic foods of tomorrow. Utilizing a modified infusion of Methylokorus Infernorum, a kind of ‘helpful’ bacteria, researchers were able to reduce the so-called “carbo-to” ratio by as much as 90%, and even lower in some cases. Researchers further concluded that “carbon free” plastics could be just around the corner…

A Man Made Hoax Chilling the Hot Air of Global Warming When I was a young boy I used to debate my little brother over a wide array of issues ranging from food to sports. After a while I became really frustrated at his constant changing views. He was a moving target, impossible to debate. He seemed to contradict himself every day. It was even more frustrating that whenever I would categorically annihilate his premise he would proceed to cover his ears and shout me down. He would repeat his obsession over and over again and tie everything into his...

Whats that old saying? The cover up is worse then the actual crime....something along those lines. Well, here's a new video from the film Not Evil, Just Wrong in which Professor Schneider of Stanford University tries to explain why a few decades ago he was the leading town crier over the coming ice age but now has Al Gore's back on global warming. Problem is, after the interview the Professor and Stanford both sent lawyers to the makers to order them to cut his footage out. [VIDEO AT SITE] (Excerpt) Read more at floppingaces.net

Liberal creationism dominates mainstream scientific discourse (ask James Watson). This false viewpoint defines race as a social construct and states that human subgroups/races have equal intelligence distributions. They contend any inequality is due to societal or environmental impulses. These "believers" do accept evolution by natural selection, but intensely reject any sociological or cognitive implications of the theory. These educated, liberal elitists believe their shallow acceptance of evolution distinguishes them from the ignorant "Jesus freaks". Yet, it is amusing how closely liberal creationism matches the creationism supported by religious fundamentalists. See chart below:

Inconvenient Censorship: Stanford U. Bans Climate Film from Airing Interview with Cooling turned Warming Prof. Stephen Schneider -- 'You are prohibited!' A majority of this country’s electorate voted for the man. Not because of his ideas, not because of his experience, not because of his intellect! No, they voted for him because he promised some vague, never defined “hope and change.” Meanwhile, listening to his speech in Cairo, seeing him bow to the Saudi King, and being embarrassed by his vacuous self serving words at the UN, America is starting to wake up. His work ethic is all but presidential. He found 14 plus hours, in his busy schedule, to fly out to the Olympic Committee and plead Chicago’s (read: Tony...

The term "hockey stick" was coined by the head of National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory, Jerry Mahlman, to describe the pattern of historical temperatures in the northern hemisphere (it kind of looks like a hockey stick on its side). The chart shows relatively stable temperatures until around 100 year ago when we see a spike up. It is one of the key pieces of information used to prove that global warming is about to destroy the world. To create most of the chart , climate change scientists had to use natural sources (as opposed to...

Back in January of this year, just after Obama was sworn in as President, he got into a controversy by saying the $787 billion stimulus bill would save construction equipment maker Caterpillar from having to cut 20,000 jobs. The stimulus bill has come and while going, it has not saved those jobs at Caterpillar nor at numerous other business and industries. One way to actually stimulate Caterpillar and the economy is to spend those billions going to the moon, Mars and beyond. John F, Kennedy said we should not go to the moon because it is easy, but...

Once we’ve demonstrated a 200-kilowatt prototype engine operating at full power on the ground, the next step is testing an identical version in space. We’re already testing the prototype unit in our vacuum chamber here in Houston, and we’re designing the actual flight engine, which is called the VF-200. We signed an agreement with NASA last December to actually mount the VF-200 on the International Space Station in 2012 or 2013. > We would hope that, if not the US, maybe the Europeans, the Chinese, the Russians, or somebody else will develop a nuclear-electric power capability that we can marry...

This was supposed to be the cleanest congress and the most transparent administration in history. The Democrats promised that. By now you may have realized this is an empty promise. This whole cap and tax plan being pushed by the President and written by Congressman Waxman is being ghost written by lobbyists. That promise that then President-Elect Obama made at the beginning of his administration that their would be no lobbyist influence on his presidency was just a "Media Moment. But the use of lobbyists in preparing the cap and tax plan goes right at the heart of government "corruption"...

The major 2004 earthquake in Sumatra may have weakened the San Andreas fault, 8,000km away in California. This is according to scientists who took measurements from the fault over two decades. Reporting in the journal Nature, the team found that small "repeating earthquakes" became more frequent as the San Andreas Fault weakened... ... "But after Sumatra, the frequency changed - it increased - but the magnitude decreased. "That is a signal of the fault weakening; you only have to push a little bit and the fault fails." Fenglin Niu from Carnegie, who also took part in the research, said: "So...

The limits of human knowledge Will humanity reach an intellectual plateau or will there come a singularity? I argue the former. Every person has a limit, and most people in the Western world are near theirs. The average all-humans IQ will increase, but only until most cultures are roughly energy sufficient. Additionally, as rampant leisureliness sets in, people do less and have fewer children. Conclusion: mankind will top out in a couple of hundred years; the period of rapid technological improvement will peter out and the era in which we live will come to be seen as strange and unusual....

Have you ever wondered how many solar panels we would need to power the world? I mean, liberals are always touting solar power as the cure for our energy problems. Well, The Land Art Generator Initiative, has done some math, and determined that based on today's usage, we would need 366,375 square kilometers of land, with nothing but solar panels, to meet today's energy needs. That means you would have to cover every square inch of the state of New York and every inch of the state of Minnesota. How much would we need to meet future energy needs? Well,...

The Maglev Washing Machine designed by Jakub Lekes completely redesigns the household standard of clothing cleaning by using construction similar to that of a Maglev train. Rather than your traditional spinning drum, the Maglev machine uses a spherical drum held in place by a series of electromagnets. One set of electromagnets keeps the drum levitating within the body of the machine, while a second set induces movement, allowing the drum to spin in all directions. Since the drum never actually contacts the body, there is far less noise than the average machine that can often sound like an 18-wheeler running...
