South Carolina Citizens for Life President Lisa Van Riper praised the strongly bi-partisan vote Tuesday to advance the Unborn Child Protection Against Dismemberment Abortion Act H 3548. “South Carolina Citizens for Life commends the bi-partisan action of the S.C. House Judiciary Committee to advance the Unborn Child Protection Against Dismemberment Abortion Act,” Mrs. Van Riper said. “The gruesome abortion procedure used in many second trimester abortions which dismembers a living child in the womb should have no place in a civilized society.” By a vote of 18-4 on Tuesday, the South Carolina House Judiciary Committee advanced H3548, to the full...

"I felt like someone had punched me in the gut," said Amy Stromberg, a fan visiting from out of town. "It's very disturbing what that flag represents and I thought in South Carolina we were past that now." The flag could be seen from miles away. snip "It's a piece of our heritage. 25,000 South Carolinians died in defense of that flag, and 250,000 southerners," said James Bessenger, chairman of the South Carolina Secessionist Party. "The legislature told us they were going to do it. If you say you're going to do something, I expect you to do it."

The toxic dollar is bringing hell in a handbasket. Along with the student loan debt bubble and other major financial factors, the looming pensions crisis is bound to be the death of us all. Because it’s based on a future promise to pay, it has long been a benefit dangled to solve strikes and union disputes – because, in the end, it is just more debt, whether private or public. With tens of trillions in unfunded liabilities, the weight of an avalanche remains dangling over our heads. An aging population is cashing in on needed retirement benefits while the younger...

Aerospace giant Boeing is back in the news again, though not for the sort of thing they would generally like to see. The company announced this week through union representatives that roughly 1800 people would be losing their jobs. Sen. Tim Scott (R., S.C.) flipped the script on Wednesday night when he took the media-induced controversy revolving around White House Counselor Kellyanne Conway kneeling on the Oval Office couch and turned it into a jab at former President Bill Clinton. . . . "Come on, people. You remember the '90s. That couch has had a whole lot of worse things. Come on now," he said. Scott's joke was referring to the infamous scandal where Clinton started having an affair with White House intern Monica Lewinsky in the Oval Office. . . . various issues ranging from the Black Congressional...

Washington (CNN) – Just five weeks into Donald Trump's presidency, Republican Sens. John McCain and Lindsey Graham have already proven to be major headaches for the new President. While many of their Republican colleagues in Congress have worked to make inroads with the new administration, hoping to capitalize on GOP control over two branches of government, the two senators have repeatedly broken with the White House. McCain has accused Trump of running an "administration in disarray." Graham called his budget proposal "dead on arrival" on Capitol Hill. Now, the two are set to make their case to a national audience...

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said Tuesday that President Trump’s first budget was “dead on arrival” and wouldn’t make it through Congress. “It's not going to happen,” said Graham, according to NBC News. “It would be a disaster." Graham, a frequent Trump critic, expressed concerns with Trump’s proposed cuts to the State Department budget, especially the targeting of foreign aid. Trump will propose $54 billion in cuts to fund an equivalent boost in defense spending, White House officials said Monday. The administration will make massive cuts from the Environmental Protection Agency and State Department, even though both of their budgets combined...

When Christina Knaack received a $5,600 tax refund, she didn't head to the mall or book a trip to the Caribbean. The South Carolina-based single mom of two kids used it to pay her rent … for the entire year. "Instead of buying my kids the latest Jordans or fancy electronics I paid my rent for the YEAR," Knaack writes on Facebook. "I'm a single mom and I do it all by myself on a minimum wage job. I know that a roof over my kids head is what's important." Since Knaack uploaded the picture of her rent receipt on...

Freepers, I need some help and prayers. The future daughter-in-law of a close friend was in a bad car accident late last week. By the grace and mercy of God she was not as seriously injured as orignally thought. However, the treatment she has received from the hospital she was taken to has been deplorable at best. She was air lifted to McLeod's Hospital in Florence, SC on Thursday February 9. She was admitted to the hospital that afternoon, and was left in the cervical collar the EMTs put on her until Saturday (it had dried and caked bodily fluids...
