The word "Islam" means submission. There are a lot of people with the "Coexist" mindset who do not understand that the word "Islam" means submission. Islam requires that there be no other religions. There is no "Coexist" with Islam. It has occurred to me that we should try to open people's eyes by using a more descriptive word such as "Submit-Lam" as a substitute for the word "Islam." I am suggesting that we make this a routine practice in an effort to wake people up. I suggest that whenever you write something regarding Islam, or Muslim, try to work the...
  • Islam and Liberalism: Twin ‘Beasts of the Apocalypse’

Mankind’s enduring “culture war” is nothing new. It first began in a garden long ago and today has reached a fever pitch worldwide. The battle lines are drawn, not so much between conservative vs. liberal, as many presume, but, rather, between biblical vs. unbiblical, truth vs. deception. In its most distilled form the culture war signifies the worldly manifestation of an otherworldy spiritual battle between good and evil. African Cardinal Robert Sarah, a man many view as a potential future pope, recently made news by boldly drilling down into this reality. During the Vatican’s ongoing Synod of Bishops, Sarah noted...

A couple of weeks ago I got a flurry of appeal letters from ministries asking me to financially help them help the “refugees” fleeing the crap-hole called Syria. The ministries hit me with the normative guilt-trip noise about “what would Jesus do?”; that “any good Christian worth their salt would definitely help the suffering refugees”; and that if the reader/me didn’t help these “refugees” then they/I suck as a Christian. That’s not exactly what the letter said, but that was the gist of it. Now, I know my tightly wound evangelical bros out there don’t think that I’m “saved” because...

White House officials pushed to ban conversion therapy for LGBT youths, pointing to new findings that debunk the therapy. A ban on the conversion therapy for minors was introduced in Congress on Thursday, following a report from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. "The science rebukes this so-called practice and so do we," White House Senior Adviser Valerie Jarrett told reporters on a call Thursday. The report from the administration includes a consensus from an expert panel held by the American Psychological Association earlier this summer. The panel found that variations in "sexual orientation and gender identity are normal,...

Abdullah Demirbas risks his life to promote ethnic and religious unity Abdullah Demirbas, Kurdish human rights activist and twice-elected former mayor of the Sur municipality in Diyarbakir, has long been targeted by Turkish authorities who apparently view him as a threat to Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s determination to “re-Islamify” his nation. “I would like to emphasize that we believe in that inter-religious and intercultural dialogue a will bring communities together in this century,” Demirbas told his lawyer, Ms. Irina Tsukerman, while he languished in prison. Turkish officials saw it differently. They apprehended Demirbas on Aug. 5, 2015, and...

Lawyers for Kentucky county clerk Kim Davis say the marriage licenses issued by her office are binding — and no further action is required by a federal judge to change them. "Marriage licenses are being issued in Rowan County, which [Kentucky Gov. Steven Beshear] and Kentucky attorney general have approved as valid, which are recognized by the Commonwealth of Kentucky, and which are deemed acceptable by the couples who received them," her lawyers said in court filings Tuesday.

Day by day, the dystopian universe depicted in George Orwell’s magnum opus rings more like an omen than a work of fiction. In the day and age of political correctness run amok, where “offenders” are often forced to attend sensitivity-training, a new experiment that claims to alter the way participants view religion and immigrants, proves that the thought-police may, in fact, be coming. In a joint study conducted by scientific researches in the U.S. and U.K., a technique dubbed “transcranial magnetic stimulation,” or TMS, was used on participants to essentially turn off groups of neurons in the brain that control...

Friends: It has come to our attention that the American Bar Association is currently considering amending Rule 8.4 of the Model Rules of Professional Conduct in a way that will threaten the ability of conscientious Christian attorneys to participate in the legal profession. If you are unfamiliar with this issue, you may view my webinar –The Coming Collision Between Attorney Conscience & Anti-Discrimination Provisions (04/17/2014) – on the ADF Allied Attorney website. In response to the ABA’s actions, we are preparing a Comment on the proposed amendments, which we intend to file with the ABA Standing Committee On Ethics And...

President Obama lamented the rancorous, divided state of U.S. politics in a wide-ranging interview with Pulitzer Prize-winning author Marilynne Robinson. In the unusual discussion, Obama revealed some of his longstanding frustrations with politics while asking the Iowa author questions about her family, her Christian faith and writings. “How do you reconcile the idea of faith being really important to you and you caring a lot about taking faith seriously with the fact that, at least in our democracy and our civic discourse, it seems as if folks who take religion the most seriously sometimes are also those who are suspicious...

WND EXCLUSIVE Obama's U.N. plan: Globalize cops against 'violent extremists' Conservative Christians 'becoming the targets' Published: 7 days ago Leo Hohmann President Obama’s new “Strong Cities Network,” announced with little fanfare last week at the United Nations, appears to be another effort to strip authority from local police departments and to demonize conservative Christians, say advocates of civil and religious liberties. The stated goal of the program is to connect local police departments with their peers around the world in an effort to combat “violent extremism,” according to Attorney General Loretta Lynch, who announced the program to the U.N. on...

Darkness abounds. Nonetheless wisdom beckons, reminding those who'll listen to make the very best of the dark days we're in rather than allowing these dark days to get the best of us. However, that's not easy. Darkness is easier to adapt to than light. Here in Alaska, summer's glaring midnight sun is pretty offensive at bedtime. But the extra light is good, providing lots of time for healthy activities, leaving a healthier, better you at summer's end. In sharp contrast, winters up here offer minimal light. The lack of light makes it feel almost natural to do what's in reality,...

During World War I, the thousands to American soldiers heading to France and Belgium were given pocket Bibles with the forward written by President Woodrow Wilson in 1917: “The Bible is the Word of Life. I beg that you will read it and find this out for yourselves, -read, not little snatches here and there, but long passages that will really be the road to the heart of it. You will find it full of real men and women not only, but also of the things you have wondered about and been troubled about all your life, as men have...

Did you know that in 1647, early American settlers passed the “Old Satan Deluder Act” to encourage children’s education so they could learn to read the Bible? According to Christian educator Tim Hoy, “One of the earliest education laws in our country was passed by the early settlers in 1647, called the ‘Old Satan Deluder Act.’ The settlers came to America to escape religious and political persecution in Europe. They believed that the persecutions (acts carried out under Satan’s delusion) were allowed to take place because of the populace’s illiteracy in general and biblical illiteracy in particular. To combat a...

You know, I heard on the incredible radio program of Bob Burney today, which I don't listen to nearly enough, what took place last night in Oklahoma. In the dead of the night, they cowardly removed a Ten Commandments monument from the state capitol grounds. When you do this at 10:30 at night, yes those are the actions of cowards. I'm reading these days in Deuteronomy, as some of you who listen to my modest Blog Talk show may be aware. What does God instruct in Deuteronomy Chapter 27, the first 8 verses? He instructs His people to keep His...

Kitchens that are shared between office workers may soon be banned from storing pork products like sausage rolls over fears that they are “offensive”. New guidelines proposed by interfaith group CoExist House say that employers should consider worker’s religions before allowing ham sandwiches placed in the fridge alongside other products. The group also suggests that alcohol should not be served at corporate events in case it upsets members of certain faiths.
