Now, I thought we wanted a world without color? I thought we wanted a world where "love" beat out misogyny, a world where people were "just people"? Yet we are still in an era where the Associated Press, with a serious tone and a straight face, reports the story of Tiger Woods daring to favor "white women" as paramours. And astonishingly it is Tiger that is portrayed as somehow in the wrong to like white women and the "black community" that somehow legitimately feels aggrieved? This after a presidential campaign where the Democrat's lead candidate was often portrayed as "not...

Yesterday Harry Reid played the race card comparing opponents of Obamacare to supporters of Slavery. The Race Card is Favorite of Reid's as you can see from this recording of a Radio interview from October of 2008. Asked about then Candidate Obama's connection to people implicated in the FannyMae/FreedieMac Crisis. Reid said that people who would make that association are doing so because of racism. The audio of the interview follows:

College Thought Police Enforce Global Values By Mary Ann Collins December 7, 2009 "The way to redefine a word is to get the new definition repeated as often as possible.... This, so far as words are concerned, is the public opinion battle for belief in your definitions, and not those of the opposition. A consistent, repeated effort is the key to any success with this technique of propaganda." (L. Ron Hubbard, founder of Scientology)[1] "A racist is one who is both privileged and socialized on the basis of race by a white supremacist (racist) system. The term applies to all...

Associated Press headline: Tiger’s Troubles Widen His Distance From Blacks ‘Two layers of suspicion ... one is the pattern in the race of his partners’ The article that followed labeled the golfer racist not only for "declin[ing] to identify himself as black," but also because of "the race of the women" he's involved with. On top of this, the AP made the case that America's fascination with Woods's philandering is only because he's cheating with white women (h/t NB reader Matthew Noll): Amid all the headlines generated by Tiger Woods' troubles — the puzzling car accident, the suggestions of...

Amid all the headlines generated by Tiger Woods' troubles — the puzzling car accident, the suggestions of marital turmoil and multiple mistresses — little attention has been given to the race of the women linked with the world's greatest golfer. Except in the black community. When three white women were said to be romantically involved with Woods in addition to his blonde, Swedish wife, blogs, airwaves and barbershops started humming, and Woods' already tenuous standing among many blacks took a beating. On the nationally syndicated Tom Joyner radio show, Woods was the butt of jokes all week. "Thankfully, Tiger, you...

Johnny R. Williams, 30, would appear to be an unlikely person to have to fret about the impact of race on his job search, with companies like JPMorgan Chase and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago on his résumé. Barry Jabbar Sykes goes by Barry J. Sykes in his job hunt. But after graduating from business school last year and not having much success garnering interviews, he decided to retool his résumé, scrubbing it of any details that might tip off his skin color. His membership, for instance, in the African-American business students association? Deleted. “If they’re going to...

Zhihua Tian traveled thousands of miles from his native China earlier this year to profit from the treasures of the American education system. Unfortunately, he landed at South Philadelphia High School, where the number of violent incidents often overshadow student achievements. Tian, 19, of South Philly, and five other students who are recent immigrants are staying home today because they were among 26 Asian students who were attacked by a gang of other students throughout the day yesterday, said Xu Lin, of the Chinatown Development Corporation, who works with victimized students.

Man sentenced for racist Facebook threats by Michael Luke / Eyewitness News Posted on December 3, 2009 at 10:16 AM Updated today at 10:18 AM NEW ORLEANS - A federal judge handed down three years of probation for a Mississippi man who, after the election of President Barack Obama, threatened to kill African Americans through a Facebook account, according to U.S. Attorney Jim Letten. Dyron Hart, 20, who is black and a student at Nicholls State University, of Popularville, Miss., was sentenced for communicating threats in interstate commerce, said Letten. In August, “Hart created a fictitious name and used the...

New Haven's Board of Fire Commissioners has approved the promotions of 14 city firefighters who won a reverse discrimination case in a landmark ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court. A formal promotion ceremony is scheduled for Dec. 10. Matt Marcarelli, who earned the top score on the captain's exam in 2003 and assumed his new rank on Tuesday, says the action by the board was historic. The board approved the promotions after another city board certified the results of the 2003 exam that was at the center of the legal dispute. Thirteen white city firefighters and one Hispanic firefighter were...

A race for mayor of Atlanta headed for a recount on Wednesday after a knife-edge election that exposed a racial fault line running through the biggest city in the U.S. Southeast. Former state Senator Kasim Reed declared victory overnight when official results from the runoff vote showed him beating city councilwoman Mary Norwood by 758 votes out of 83,000 cast. But Norwood declined to concede defeat and is almost certain to demand a recount under rules that permit one when less than 1 percent of votes cast separates the candidates. Norwood, who led an initial round of voting November 3,...

Union Violence: An African-American is beaten up at a political rally by thugs shouting racial epithets, and after three months his assailants are charged with the moral equivalent of jaywalking. Why wasn't it a hate crime? The beating of Kenneth Gladney by people wearing the purple shirts of the Service Employees International Union outside a Missouri health care town hall meeting three months ago met all the classic definitions of a hate crime. Time was, the beating of a black man outside a protest rally, and the arrest and prosecution of the perpetrators, would be headline news. Gladney was working...

Joy Behar is supposedly a comic. It’s hard to tell, as the only time she’s really funny is unintentionally. Can you really build a career from that? With a voice that makes The Nanny sound as sweet as Ella Fitzgerald, and a manner that makes a frontier mining camp madam seem like Grace Kelly, Behar has turned irritating into an art form. And if you really want to hear her at full-out bray, just bring up Sarah Palin. Here are a couple of notable examples. “She is SO dumb” “She is not coherent. The woman cannot construct a sentence.” So...

It must have been about the time that Barack Obama was being born or toddling around that I got my first, alarming introduction to the white man's idea of Africa. As I remember it, I was sitting in my grandmother's parlor, watching TV while she bustled about the kitchen. The images are fractured now: beating drums, a blood oath, white people sleeping in an isolated farmhouse and large, gleaming African men on a rampage with machetes, closing in, in high-contrast black and white; letters scrawled across the screen in a classic scare font, "Mau Mau!"Maybe this was 1959, when British...

The Case of Victor Davis Hanson: Farmer, Scholar, Warmonger F. Roger Devlin -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Everyone is a reactionary about subjects he understands. -Robert Conquest Victor Davis Hanson’s name has become known to millions of people since the attacks of September 11. Beginning the very day of those terrible events, he has poured forth a stream of commentary urging a tough response against…well, against somebody. At first it was bin Laden and al-Qaeda, of course. But as soon as the Bush administration announced that Iraq was a proper target for American retaliation, Hanson got on board. Since then he has briefed powerful...

There's nothing like tuning into an episode of "The View" for a little exploration of social sensitivities in the modern American culture. In keeping with that tradition, on Black Friday, a term used to describe the Friday following Thanksgiving, which is the beginning of the traditional Christmas shopping season, the use of the word "black" to mark this occasion was a topic of discussion on "The View" for its potential "racist" implications. Co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar, who has her own primetime HLN cable show, debated the use of "black" on the Nov. 27 pre-recorded broadcast. Goldberg, a black...

Bicentennial celebrations have portrayed Darwin as a kindly old gentleman pottering around an English house and garden. What that misses is the way his ideas were abused in the 20th century and the way in which Darwin was wrong about certain key issues. He asserted that different races of mankind had traveled different distances along the evolutionary path - white Caucasians were at the top of the racial hierarchy, while black and brown people ranked below. [Racism] was a widespread prejudice in British society at the time, but he presented racial hierarchy as a matter of science. He also held...

As the economy's downturn continues to loom over America and employment remains to be a daily issue, the problem is almost magnified for the young males in the Black community. 34.5% of young Black men are unemployed. Reported in October, unemployment for African-American men between the ages of 16 and 24 has skyrocketed. The percent is more than three times the unemployment rate for the entire U.S. population. This month, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that unemployment for Blacks in D.C had risen from 11.4% to 11.9%, although employment was stable for other races located in Maryland and Virginia....

In Henrico County schools last year, African-American students made up 36 percent of the enrollment and 7 percent of the children who received gifted education. Chesterfield and Hanover counties saw similar patterns the last school year. Area school officials who provided the numbers acknowledge the disparities and say they've dug in with task forces, targeted programs and studies. But last week, Gov. Timothy M. Kaine put the issue in the spotlight with an order to analyze disproportionately low representation of minority students in gifted education.

Frank Rich is one political pundit who takes Levi Johnston’s empty threats against his former future mother-in-law Sarah Palin seriously. Though to most observers Johnston’s threats sound like false bravado, Rich’s Sunday hit piece on Sarah Palin's hit book suggested the former VP candidate is scared of what family secrets Johnston might spill. "Equally revealing is the one boldfaced name conspicuously left unmentioned in the book: Levi Johnston, the father of Palin’s grandchild. Though Palin and McCain milked him for photo ops at the Republican convention, he is persona non grata now that he’s taking off his campaign wardrobe. Is...

MSNBC host Chris Matthews, MSNBC reporter Norah O’Donnell, and MSNBC guest Joan Walsh shamelessly played the race card against Sarah Palin and her book-buying audience last week. In Michigan, O’Donnell smugly noted that Palin’s fans were “largely white — almost no minorities in this crowd.” Matthews parroted the line, assailing the “white crowd.” Walsh likened the gathering to a “paranoid tea party.” Matthews hammered away at the “monochromatic” scene. Ahem. Check out the masthead of MSNBC TV, “The Place for Politics.” Wear sunglasses and SPF 30 lotion. You’ll need protection from the blinding white glare:

Miami's poorer residents have long complained that the city's meager public-transit system makes it harder for them to get to work. So when the Obama Administration announced the $787 billion stimulus plan earlier this year, many hoped some of that money would help fund plans like an expansion of Miami's undersized Metrorail system - especially a 10-mile northern extension that would reach into predominantly African-American and other minority communities largely cut off from downtown and other employment centers. But the project, in part because it's not considered as shovel-ready as jobs like existing highway maintenance, isn't getting any of...

Darwinism and the adoption of Chinese Marxism According to James Pusey, writing in Nature, "Charles Darwin's banner was first unfurled in China during the Reform Movement of 1895-98, in response to China's defeat in the Sino-Japanese War." There were two groups seeking change: the reformers, who were loyal to the Manchu Qing Dynasty, and the revolutionaries, who wanted a clean break with the past. --snip-- The reformers and the revolutionaries debated vigorously "with both sides wildly waving Darwin's banner" The leaders of these movements imbibed the message of scientific racism coming from America and Europe and presented themselves as 'fit'...

Both Maureen Dowd and Frank Rich have it right. Sneer and dismiss Sarah Palin -- and/or the sentiment she taps -- at your political peril. Dowd writes that President Obama could use some of Palin's visceral appeal. Palin can be stupefyingly simplistic, but she seems dynamic. Obama is impressively complex but he seems static. She nurtures her grass roots while he neglects his. He struggles to transcend identity politics while she wallows in them. As he builds an emotional moat around himself, she exuberantly pushes whatever she has, warts and all — the good looks, the tabloid-perfect family, the Alaska...

Race-carding has now progressed from an offensive bullying tactic to a comical farce in the theater of the absurd. First, Janeane Garofalo became the demented poster-harpy of race-carding, then Jessee Jackson jumped the shark by insisting that political loyalties determine racial identity. Now, in Norfolk, Virginia, an animal shelter’s drive to promote adoption of black-colored pets has been condemned for its racial insensitivity.

The more I observe U.S. politics, the more I am sickened by racial politics. Don't get me wrong; this is also an observable trend in Europe. The fact is that race and nationality have always been explosive issues. Politicians and political interest groups know this and use it to damage or completely discredit the opposing ideology. Liberals in the U.S. would have you believe that conservatism or rightist politics is the source of all racist thought in America. To believe this, one would have to ignore history completely and the fact that many of the most brutal racist policies the...

After arresting a young black man last night in Sara Sims Park, two white Boynton Beach Police officers faced down an angry crowd threatening violence. Cooney, who authored the incident report, noted here that there were some 100 people in the park and the surrounding area. He wrote: The crowd was also yelling loudly and closing in on officers. Kelley was still screaming obscenities. Kelley was then approximately five feet from officers (Connor) Haugh and (Jeffrey) Williams when he was advised again to leave the area or be placed under arrest. Kelley then stated, 'F

In a shocking reversal, the United Nations has come out against New World Order dogma about diversity and global warming. It has concluded that the best countries for human development are racially homogenous, as long as the dominant race is white or Asian. And if that's not enough political incorrectness, the top country in human development in the U.N.'s eyes has funded its rich social spending with -- gasp! -- offshore oil production. Well, admittedly, the U.N. didn't state its conclusion that directly, and the mainstream media didn't report it that directly; but anyone with a grain of intelligence and...

Last time former Georgia Democrat Congressman Cynthia McKinney made national news was in 2006, when she struck a Capitol police officer after the supposedly racist bastard had the audacity to stop her for failing to show I.D. But before that embarrassing display, McKinney had amassed a list of anti-white, anti-American, and anti-Semitic remarks. She is truly the embodiment of left-wing hate. The mainstream media is very good at reporting supposed right-wing anti-Semitism, like last month when two South Carolina Congressmen made the mistake of stereotyping Jews as being frugal with their money. But radical leftist anti-Semites—especially non-white ones—Louis Farrakhan comes...

The Rev. Jesse Jackson on Wednesday night criticized Rep. Artur Davis (D-Ala.) for voting against the Democrats’ signature healthcare bill. “We even have blacks voting against the healthcare bill,” Jackson said at a reception Wednesday night. “You can’t vote against healthcare and call yourself a black man.” The remark stirred a murmur at the reception, held by the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) Foundation as part of a series of events revolving around the 25th anniversary of Jackson’s run for president. Several CBC members were in attendance, including Chairwoman Barbara Lee (D-Calif.), who’d introduced Jackson. Davis, who is running for governor,...

I'm a proud White-Irish-American and I'd like to celebrate my unique culture and heritage. Though I personally had no part in it, my white European ancestors were the ones who founded the greatest country the world has ever known. For all of you progressives out there, I'm referring to America. Yup. My white ancestors founded and conquered it. Just like countries, states and tribes have been doing since time immemorial. My white European ancestors then established a framework (hint: the Constitution) that allowed immigrants from all over the world a place where they could be free of tyrannical dictators...

I just saw another one of those videos. You know the ones - the kind that Fox "News" loves to show; of the clueless teabagger with tears in her eyes, complaining that she wants her country back. They're designed to tug at our heartstrings, but they have just the opposite effect on me. What I see is a social bigot who thinks the world is about to come to an end because Barack Obama is the president instead of the White House butler. Glenn Beck is not exactly the most beloved figure in the US media. Of course, there are not unjustified reasons for that. Even for those who ultimately agree with him, he comes off as completely eccentric and a little bit too prone to conspiracy theories. However, there is an advantage to being a bit on the edge and even over the edge. One can challenge the mainstream, "official" opinions of those who seek to regulate public opinion. One of the most widespread myths in media is that black conservatives are an oxymoron or simply don't exist. But the most despicable...
