It’s not enough that liberals sought to destroy a good man’s reputation when he was nominated to the Supreme Court. Their efforts at character assassination continue after his passing. One of the most contemptible examples of this came from Rachel Maddow on her MSNBC show Dec. 19 in talking about the death of Robert Bork and his influence on American jurisprudence and politics over the last four decades. Didn't anyone ever tell Rachel Maddow that revenge is a dish best eaten cold? Using the thinnest of pretexts, Rachel went on a Republican-taunting rampage on her MSNBC show last night. The supposed subject was the decision of Senate Republicans to elevate John Cornyn to the #2 leadership spot, despite the disappointing results for the GOP's senatorial campaign committee that he led. I generally try to stay out of political discussions whenever possible. I have blood pressure considerations to keep in mind. Last spring, a caller to the Mackinac Center for Public Policy unleashed a profane series of death and bomb threats in phone messages left at the Center's headquarters in Midland, Mich. On Feb. 2, a Laura Campbell of Waukegan, Ill., was charged with making death and bomb threats against the Mackinac Center on April 1, 2011, according to court documents.
