G20 protesters blasted by sonic cannon US police spark outrage by using wartime acoustic weapon to disperse G20 protesters in Pittsburgh Only a few hundreds protesters took to the streets of Pittsburgh to mark the opening day of the G20 summit of world leaders, but the police were taking no chances. Sonic weapons or long-range acoustic devices have been used by the US military overseas, notably against Somali pirates and Iraqi insurgen

Wanted to once in awhile post a HERO bill as opposed to all the ZERO bills I have. I immediately thought of Charleton Heston. He was an admirable conservative man. For many, many reasons. With that, he gets the first HERO dollar bill. The ZERO bills, of course, are worth ZERO, they are worthless. In contrast, the HERO bill is, appropriately, priceless. Here's the front first, then the back: For the whole series of Zero dollar bills, go here: "Flickr Archive of Zero Bills"

Where's Nancy Pelosi when left wing anarchists go out of control?Remember when House Speaker Nancy Pelosi called Town Hall attendees protesting Obama's socialist takeover of health care "un-American?" Later, she tearfully suggested she feared the protests would lead to violence. Where is Nancy as hundreds of left wing anarchists (how many of them voted for Obama?) wreak havoc on the streets of Pittsburgh as the G-20 summit of world leaders gets underway? You didn't see anything like this during the 9/12 March on Washington where hundreds of thousands of Americans peacefully assembled and cleaned up after themselves! This is Obama's...

This summer, characterized by town hall meetings and culminating in the so-called "Taxpayer's Tea Party," was a showcase of American freedom. Even National Socialist Worker's Party member B. Hussein Obama (who is unique among Muslims in having a controversial Church of Christ pastor), the all-powerful Big Brother and black U.S. president from Indonesia and/or Kenya, with his arsenal of confiscated personal firearms, couldn't stop 70,000 (according to the liberal media) to 1.5 million (according to unbiased event organizers) conservatives from marching on Capitol Hill. That said, take one look at America today and it should be no surprise to anyone...

The Dems, with help from MoveOn.org (seriously, move on already) and ACORN plan to mobilize on health care this week. How's this for a "grass roots" effort? The plan for a series of grass-roots demonstrations Tuesday to promote President Obama's health care agenda calls for tightly scripted events.. Health Care for America Now (HCAN), which is backed by a coalition of labor unions and liberal groups including ACORN and MoveOn.org, organized the protests to target insurance companies and drafted the plan, which describes the demonstrations as part of its "insurance enemies project." The document, a copy of which was obtained...

The next major outrage coming down the pike is a looming drive by the power elites to finally push through amnesty for more than thirty million foreign nationals who are in our country illegally. It is time to make the protests from earlier in the year look like tea parties -- the kind with tea and crumpets. No elected official should be able to show his face in public without being confronted strongly by bold and courageous citizens demanding their country back. No incumbent should be left free to campaign without confrontation like they've always done. And the citizenry needs to...

Clashes in Tehran as opposition defies regime warnings Philippe Naughton Clashes broke out on the streets of Tehran today as tens of thousands of Iranians marched in favour of the opposition leader Mir Hossein Mousavi, defying government warnings and a heavy police presence at an annual rally to show solidarity with the Palestinians. The demonstrators carried accessories in green, the signature colour of Mr Mousavi’s election campaign, for what was the first demonstration in two months against Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's contested re-election in June. But the protest soon sparked violence as fistfights broke out with Ahmadinejad loyalists. Witnesses said that at...

This protest sign sums up the only pathetic argument the liberals seem to have and it sure is getting old. On the brighter side – when the left pulls out the race card it means they have lost the debate. As pointed out by a fellow conservative blogger - 1) They are not discussing a substantive issue, nor are they making a point. Rather, they have admitted to being 100% wrong and having no point whatsoever by relying on an ad hominem logical fallacy. 2) They expose themselves as racists by refusing to hold all people to the same standard...

It was originally reported in the Daily Mail two days ago that up to two million people marched on the U.S. Capitol and then without explanation the Daily Mail adjusted the number down to 1 million. It is unclear whether the change in the estimate is the Daily Mail succumbing to political pressures because they were being used to reference that fact that upwards of 2 million people were in attendance in Washington. What is suspicious is the Daily Mail made no mention why the number was changed. and adjusted down. (see story) Other sources did record the Daily Mail's...

The Oahu Tea Party movement is putting together a gathering on the 5th of November. The date being significant, not only for it being Guy Fawkes day, but also is the anniversary of Barack Obama being elected as President of the US. I thought it would be greatly beneficial to use an event that the Democrats are going to take obvious advantage of to make our voice heard across the country. Oahu is going to do the 5th of November protest, I would like to see what other groups and locations would like to join us, and have Congress hear...

The 2pmET hour built on the 1pm hour averaging 2.57M Total Viewers (up 189%) and 708K A25-54 viewers (up 226%). I attended the protest in Washington DC. I took a bus trip with the Morristown Tea Party group which I thought was rather appropriate. In case you don’t know, General Washington and the Continental Army camped in Morristown, NJ in 1777 after marching from victories in Trenton and Princeton. They again camped the winter of 1780, which was by far the worst winter of the Revolutionary War. Not only did the soldiers suffer from extreme weather, exposure and starvation, they often went unpaid. And when they were paid, the skyrocketing inflation rate – reaching 47% in 1779 – made it...

There was a huge protest against Obama's big-government plans at the U.S. Capitol on Saturday, but one was hard-pressed to find evidence of it on the New York Times home page Sunday morning: A small headline tucked under the Political subhead. The print edition wasn't much more forthcoming. Although the Washington D.C. Fire Dept. estimated 60,000 to 70,000 people attended the 9/12 protest, and many estimates are higher, the Times made do with one medium-sized story buried on page A37 of the Sunday paper, "Thousands Attend Broad Protest of Government," teasing it on the front page in a below-the-fold photo...

On April 15 when Americans held TEA Parties across the country, President Obama said he really didn’t notice them. Knowing that there was a large rally planned for Washington Saturday, rather than repeat his feigned ignorance of the April 15 rally, the president decided it was better “to get out of Dodge”.So, rather than staying in Washington to find out what 2 million people thought about his health care plan, the president determined it was better to leave Washington to push his agenda on a friendly audience. This time his “pep rally” was in Minnesota, before an audience of 15,000.

WASHINGTON – The capital was rocked today by a taxpayer march and rally that could be the biggest protest ever – potentially dwarfing the Million Man March and the Promise Keepers Rally. Though crowd estimates vary from as low as 60,000 to 70,000 according to ABC News to a high of 2 million by London Daily Mail, photographs and videos of the march and rally demonstrate its enormity. The taxpayers stormed Washington, D.C., today, taking their fight against excessive spending, bailouts, growth of big government and soaring deficits to the front door of the U.S. Capitol. All week citizens have...

AS I watched President Obama address Congress on his health insurance plan on Wednesday night, I was struck by his anger, his contradictions and his big omission. The omission was a recognition that America offers the best health care in the world. In his speech, Obama cited the recent death of Democratic Sen. Ted Kennedy. Bad example. When Kennedy was struck with an inoperable brain tumor, he did not seek treatment in France, which we are told is the best health system in the world. (Just don't get sick in August; all the French doctors are on the beaches.) Kennedy...

The Bridgeport Tea Party was an awesome success!! It was amazing to see so many people gathered, despite the pouring rain, to speak out for what they believe!! People young and old came bearing signs that said things like: "Don't Bankrupt My Kids," "Freedom Not Socialism" and "T.E.A. Taxed Enough Already!" Ann Coulter headlined the event (video below) and gave a great speech taking on Obama's plan for socializing healthcare.... Because of the weather the day before, my husband and I waited until the last minute to decide whether or not to go to the DC Taxpayer Tea Party. On Saturday morning, it was overcast and cool so we decided to drive into Silver Springs and take the metro. We found ourselves in the same car with people carrying furled flags. They had driven in from Michigan. We all did introductions and began a conversation that lasted all the way into DC. They were enthused, pleasant, witty yet serious people who did not like the direction the country was taking...

The so-called “silent majority” broke the still morning air of Pennsylvania Avenue on the morning of September 12th, 2009. Approximately one million Americans congregated in our nation’s Capitol to make their frustrations known. Grassroots efforts in opposition to the continued growth of government have recently been ignored or labeled as hordes of ignorant radicals. People who have come to voice their concerns at town hall meetings have been disparaged by the leftist media (”tea baggers”) and degenerately denigrated as foolish due to their fervid efforts to raise logical and Constitutional concerns while desiring to engage in dialogue with their elected...

The Nationwide Tea Parties were a huge Success! From coast to coast millions of people turned out on September 12th to protest big Government. People from all walks of life, from students to retirees, from black to white across the entire ethnic and racial rainbow that is America joined together to tell Congress and the White House, enough is enough. You have spent too much, indebted us beyond what the human mind can realistically grasp. You have pushed the Nation too far to the left towards Socialism, and today Society pushed back. The Authorities in Washington D.C. do not give...

First Free Republic post after experiencing 9/12 euphoria.. How about we keep the momentum going? I'm prepared to cancel my subscription to the "Washington Compost" tomorrow if they choose to distort the truth. Wouldn't it be powerful to have "tens of thousands" of us send the same message to our local newspapers. Money talks.

Time lapse photography of crowd moving into and out of Freedom Plaza today. Well done.

Even though the DC protest was much, much, bigger every little bit still helps. I did not see any SRM coverage so all the more reason to cover the one that happened in Phoenix today! Lots of flags and love of country on display . It happened in front of the State Senate. If they continue to ignore us using the first they will eventually see us use the 2nd amendment.

WEST CHESTER TWP. — Thousands of people made their way to the Voice of America Park this afternoon, Sept. 5, for a Tea Party event. It was festival-like atmosphere of patriotism, with food vendors, face-painting for kids and live music for crowd that Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones estimated topped out at 18,000. People of all ages were wearing patriotic clothing in hues of red, white and blue, many carrying American flags and hand-made signs with myriad slogans. The event drew people from all over the region, including a family from Springfield. Laura and Andy Rosenberger of Springfield were...

A few hundred protesters rallied in downtown Miami on a soggy Friday as part of a worldwide effort calling for the removal of Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez. ``I want to do anything I can against the tyranny of Chávez,'' said Pablo Carrillo, 25, an economics student at Florida International University who came to South Florida two years ago for his studies. ``I'm here for solidarity for those who suffer in Venezuela.'' The afternoon protest at the Torch of Friendship in downtown Miami -- a longtime setting for rallies for overseas causes -- was part of a day of protests against...

THERE were angry clashes in a city centre today as right-wing protesters fought with anti-fascist campaigners in a busy shopping street. A planned demonstration by The English Defence League in central Birmingham descended into violence as the group charged along New Street, close to the city's main train station. One onlooker said: "There were about 250 people in total, fighting and throwing bottles at each other." The disorder spilled onto the adjoining Bennetts Hill, a street lined with a number of pubs, popular with shoppers. Dozens of riot police worked to contain the disturbance and a police helicopter hovered overhead....

A mosque in Elizabeth, Dar-ul-Islam, is spearheading a national prayer gathering next month in Washington, D.C., that organizers are billing as the first event of its kind -- organized prayer for tens of thousands of Muslims outside the U.S. Capitol building. The event will not include political speeches or placards, just prayer, said Hassen Abdellah, president of Dar-ul-Islam and a main organizer of the event, which is scheduled for Sept. 25.

El Marco graphically exposes organizing for America's fraudulent bullying tactics in Denver. Shocking but true, opposition to Obamacare is being squashed and consent manufactured by the White House and Obama activists. Although the White House denies their single payer goals, that seemed to be the main message at the rally in Denver, where the message was carefully controlled.

Here is the gist of a report filed by an American citizen who attempted to attend a Town Hall meeting staged August 14 in Bozeman, Montana, by our country's new Doctor-in-Chief. I say "staged" because, instead of holding it at one of several convenient and available auditoriums or gymnasiums offering easy access from any direction, with plenty of parking, seats, tables, utilities, audio equipment, not to mention a stage and podium, the President's scouts chose the most remote site imaginable the most inaccessible hangar of an airport outside ofBelgrade, a tiny, nearby town, totally secluded from the public. No...

They're angry and not going to take it anymore. And now they are doing something about it -- again. On Friday, the Tea Party Express group sets off on a bus tour starting in Sacramento, California, and winding down in Washington on September 12. At that point, the group notes, a three-day march on the nation's Capitol will take place to protest health care reform and what they see as big government. The tea party movement gained momentum this year; several parties were held across the country this summer to protest President Obama and the Democrats' economic stimulus plans, among...

Proposed tax notices in Broward, Miami-Dade stir wave of protest, with homeowners taking to the streets Thursday and thousands of others calling property appraisers' offices The proposed tax notices arriving in mailboxes in Miami-Dade and Broward counties in recent days have stirred a wave of protest, with homeowners taking to the streets Thursday and others dialing their property appraisers' offices by the thousands. Many homeowners, already feeling pressure from high unemployment, a tumbling stock market and dwindling property values, were angry when they opened their TRIM -- Truth In Millage -- notices to find a property tax increase awaiting them,...
