  • A reply to Reince Priebus for money

    08/20/2013 10:48:02 PM PDT · by Delacon · 13 replies
Dear Mr. Priebus, I just received a request for a donation. I will not be giving any money to the GOP on any federal level until two things happen. 1) Any immigration bill dies in congress this year. I don't trust the party to dangle out enforcement and border security in an amnesty deal. I don't trust the GOP to work anything out. Amnesty will kill the conservative movement, if not the GOP and I am sick of my voice not being heard. So don't waste the paper and postage mailing me unless congress passes an enforcement/border security only law....

<p>BOSTON — In condemning Rep. Steve King's incendiary comments on immigration, RNC chairman Reince Priebus swept in his party's presidential nominee, saying that talk of "self-deportation" was "horrific" and even "racist."</p> <p>"Using the word 'self-deportation' — it's a horrific comment to make," Priebus said, in a forceful rebuke. "I don't think it has anything to do with our party. When someone makes those comments, obviously, it's racist."</p>

  • Will Democrats & The GOP Both Agree To Have Presidential Primary Debates On Fox News?

Should Democrats have at least one presidential primary debate on Fox News? Will Republicans once agin have primary debates on Fox News, MSNBC and CNN, with Democrats only debating on CNN and MSNBC, but not Fox News? And why not have both parties have one presidential debate (once each party has their nominee) on: Fox News, MSNBC, CNN and finally Link TV (for a total of 4 presidential debates), where Link TV can rip into both political parties on the NSA program, interventionism, NAFTA, the federal reserve, etc? Surely the Dem-e and GOP-e would love this...

The Republican National Committee has a message for NBC and CNN: If they don’t pull their planned Hillary Clinton miniseries and movie, no RNC partnered 2016 debates for them. RNC Chairman Reince Priebus wrote a letter to the heads of both networks to “express his deep disappointment” in their decision to either air a miniseries in NBC’s case or a movie in CNN’s, writing that the networks are “promoting former Secretary Hillary Clinton ahead of her likely candidacy for the Democratic nomination for president in 2016. “As an American company, you have every right to air programming of your choice,”...

This past weekend at a Latino conference, Priebus told the audience that the GOP has changed. We have? How so? Republicans have “reshaped” their outreach, Mr. Priebus told the group, which represents some 6,000 officials. Republicans get community; they get neighborhoods and churches. They get immigration and educational reform plus economic opportunity. “In America, it doesn’t matter where you come from; it matters where you’re going,” Mr. Priebus noted. This embarrassing RNC leader just accepted an unchallenged critique as truth and then proceeded to flog himself.Somehow, the Republican party never ‘got’ community or neighborhoods and churches, or immigration and educational...

The Grand Old Party has changed. No really. That was the earnest message from Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus, who took his claim to the annual National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials conference, which ended Sunday in Chicago.

RNC Chairman Reince Priebus believes Attorney General Eric Holder should resign for tapping the phones of the Associated Press, calling the move a violation of the First Amendment. Here is his statement: “Freedom of the press is an essential right in a free society. The First Amendment doesn’t request the federal government to respect it; it demands it. Attorney General Eric Holder, in permitting the Justice Department to issue secret subpoenas to spy on Associated Press reporters, has trampled on the First Amendment and failed in his sworn duty to uphold the Constitution. Because Attorney General Holder has so egregiously...

Just days after the Republican National Committee (RNC) rejected most proposed rules changes that would undo the power grab from last year’s convention, a number of grassroots activists stopped by to express their disappointment with party leaders and let them know that they would not give up the fight. Shortly after 10am, around 50 activists (pictured above) showed up at RNC headquarters in Washington, DC to present a representative from the party with a open letter to Chairman Reince Priebus that hit at the heart of grassroots’ frustration with the party. “As grassroots fiscally conservative activists from states across the...

A group of high-profile social conservatives warned Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus in a letter this week that their supporters could abandon the GOP if the party seeks to change its position on social issues, particularly same-sex marriage. Thirteen social conservatives, representing various influential groups, wrote Priebus ahead of the RNC's quarterly meeting this week in Los Angeles to sternly rebuke the conclusions of a post-election report that advised Republican elected officials to adopt a softer tone toward social issues. "We respectfully warn GOP Leadership that an abandonment of its principles will necessarily result in the abandonment of our...

Reince Priebus, chairman of the Republican National Committee, issued some words of advice for fellow GOPers: Get in the 21st century with same-sex-marriage issues. “We do have a platform, and we adhere to that platform,” Mr. Priebus said in a USA Today video. “But it doesn’t mean that we divide and subtract people from our party” who favor gay marriage. “I don’t believe we need to act like Old Testament heretics,” he said in the USA Today video. Rather, Republicans “have to strike a balance between principle and grace and respect.” His statements come as the U.S. Supreme Court is...

Economist and conservative author Thomas Sowell tells Newsmax TV that “Republicans have a decades-long record” of reaching out to the black vote in the “most unpromising way possible.” And based on the party’s strategy moving forward, he says, not much has changed. “I’m baffled by so many things that the Republican Party does nationally,” Sowell tells Newsmax on Friday in an exclusive interview. Sowell, a senior fellow at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University, tells Newsmax the GOP’s current plan to woo minorities is the same misguided strategy employed decades ago by former President Ronald Reagan. “When [Reagan] set out...

The Republican Party is violating time-tested, basic principles of sales and marketing. That's why the GOP is failing to communicate its messages. On Monday, the Republican National Committee released a massive reform strategy, whimsically labeled an "autopsy" or "reboot," to completely overhaul the GOP. Like Democrats in 1992, Republicans are growing hungry to win in 2014 and 2016. Here is what is wrong with the Republican Party. This author taught in a sales training seminar firm in Eastern Europe, International Trendsetters. The solutions are overwhelmingly time-tested and proven in real life. This is not theory. Republicans are chronically making classic...

Right blasts RNC 'autopsy' as power grab By: Jonathan Martin and Maggie Haberman March 18, 2013 12:21 PM EDT The GOP’s prescription to cure the ills that helped bring on yet another disastrous presidential cycle would revamp its presidential nominating rules in ways to benefit well-funded candidates and hamper insurgents - a move that quickly heated up the already smoldering feud between the Republican establishment and the tea party-inspired base. Tucked in near the end of the 97-page report, formally known as The Growth and Opportunity Project, are less than four pages that amount to a political bombshell: the five-member...

The Republican National Committee (RNC) has released its long-awaited study on the 2012 elections, with detailed recommendations about how the party can improve its future. The report, entitled the “Growth and Opportunity Project,” was compiled by a special committee consisting of former Gov. Haley Barbour of Mississippi, veteran GOP adviser Sally Bradshaw, former White House spokesman Ari Fleischer, Puerto Rico committeewoman Zori Fonalledas, and South Carolina committeeman Glenn McCall. For several months, RNC chairman Reince Priebus has referred to the committee’s report on the state of the party as an “autopsy.” It is an apt description, because the 100-page report...

Republicans prepare for a comeback: ‘We can’t come off as a bunch of angry white men’ By Chris Moody, Yahoo! News Political Reporter CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Republican National Committee members gathered here to re-elect Chairman Reince Priebus for a second term. But by week's end, that vote seemed secondary to the question of the party's long term survival. After three months of denial, anger, despair and depression over the results of a bruising national election that gave Democrats an edge in Congress and kept President Barack Obama in the White House, Republicans know they must adapt if they are to...

Republican Party Chairman Reince Priebus Thursday unleashed a sharp attack on liberal TV critic Chris Matthews, calling the MSNBC Hardball host "bizarre," "unhinged," and "hysterical" for charging the GOP with playing the race card. Appearing on America's Radio News Network with hosts John McCaslin and Chris Salcedo, Priebus said that when challenged by Matthews over race earlier this week, he tried to avoid a fight, though he did call Matthews a "jerk." Recalling the episode, Priebus said, "my reaction was, as it was happening was, OK Chris Matthews is just trying to make a scene for his
