I'm willing to give Orly most of the credit for painting anyone curious about Obama's fictional life story with the broad brush of "bat-sh-t crazy" (a term Orly used herself, in an official court pleading).
The name of Orly Taitz has become synonymous with wild-eyed insanity, and that's exactly how the Democrats want to portray tea-party activists, Sarah Palin and anyone else who opposes their policies on legitimate grounds.
I wouldn't consider any mention of Taitz, or birthers, to be helpful to any conservative cause. Quite the contrary.
