PLease pray for my daughter, Katie, who had a stroke and was rushed by helicopter to Cleveland for surgery. She is in her forties and has two children, one still in grade school. Since we live in different states, the information has been sketchy, but we do know that the stroke was a bad one.

I've been having digestive problems and am going in for an abdominal CAT scan tomorrow morning. Please pray for me. Thanks and God Bless!

A friend I know via the internet told me yesterday that he, and now his little daughter, have a strain of MRSA that is resistant to "almost everything". His seems to be improving somewhat, but hers is not. Although I have never met him, he is almost like a brother because of the wonderful conversations we have had about God, truth and the meaning of life. If anyone would like to pray for their wellbeing, I would greatly appreciate it, as other than prayer, I can do nothing to help them, and ultimately, the Supreme Lord is our only refuge.

We learned this week that my SIL in Missouri (Teresa) has two tumors on her brain, and a "spot" on her lung that is very likely cancer. She's be biopsied on Monday, don't know when they'll get the results. My brother is torn up. His youngest daughter is in the Navy, requesting an emergency leave to be home with her mom. Doctor told them that there's about a 20% chance she'll be with them this time next year. Pray that they'll all be strengthened by God's love, and Christ's promise of salvation to all who ask. My oldest cat-14 years old, Smokie, has bone cancer in his jaw. Most of his right mandible has been eaten away. It was swollen and sore a week ago and I took him into the vet today. Vet said there isn't much to do for him, just watch how he eats and his overall behaviors will tell us how he's doing. She said there is a surgery, they don't do it, to remove the affected bone area and replace it with steel. It's 1500$ at least and no guarantees of recovery or cure. Here's the deal, and it's all gone down in the last couple weeks: -My father has prostate cancer. The good news is it hasn't spread beyond the organ, so he is going for the implanted "seeds" for radiation treatment. Have pretty much lost the use of my left arm. MRI tomorrow then back to the dr to see if surgery is necessary. Folks, I'm asking for prayers for my wife. She has a growth in her throat and the doc thinks it might be cancerous. She is going in on Tuesday to have the growth removed and tested. His son-in-law, Dan, called a couple hours ago saying that Don went to the doctor today complaining of stomach pain and after some scans they said he had an abcess on his intestine and they had to do surgery tonight. Prayer Request Most on FR don't know, but in 1995 I moved back to where I grew up to take care of my widowed Mother. By 2004 it had become a full time 24/7 job. I am not complaining, I feel it is our duty to care for our Parents. After all, they cared for us when we needed it. Anyway, 3 weeks ago Mother became ill.
