As suspected, that temporary restraining order isn’t restraining Center for Medical Progress from continuing to release videos about Planned Parenthood, even if it might delay material from the National Abortion Federation. CMP just dropped a new video from its undercover investigation of the nation’s leading abortion chain, with another executive admitting that its clinicians change procedures to harvest organs and intact fetuses, from which they receive compensation.

A federal judge late Friday granted a temporary restraining order against the release of recordings made at an annual meeting of abortion providers. The injunction is against the Center for Medical Progress, the group that has unveiled Planned Parenthood’s participation in the sale of organs harvested from aborted children. Judge William H. Orrick, III, granted the injunction just hours after the order was requested by the National Abortion Federation. Orrick was nominated to his position by hardline abortion supporter President Barack Obama. He was also a major donor to and bundler for President Obama’s presidential campaign. He raised at least...

Earnest asserted during the White House Press Briefing that Planned Parenthood was following the “highest ethical standards” describing the investigative videos as “essentially fraudulent.” “[B]ased on the essentially fraudulent way in...

January is a time of year when the pro-life spotlight shines especially bright. In an ironic coincidence, last month’s commemorations marking Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton, the landmark Supreme Court decisions that legalized abortion in 1973, coincide with Girl Scout cookie season in most areas of the country. This iconic organization and its fundraising product has become an increasing flashpoint for pro-lifers, as more and more become aware of the numerous concerns regarding the Girl Scout organization. In January 2014, numerous pro-life groups organized a “cookiecott†that garnered significant media attention. Given the public’s increasing awareness and response...

A couple months ago, my husband and I went to the theater to watch “The Giver.” I had heard that it had a pro-life message, so I was pretty excited to see it. It was an intense movie. Well, it was for me, anyway. If you haven’t seen it, you really should. It’s a movie about a futuristic type of life where there is no emotion, no love, no hate, no war, and no death. Sure, people die. But they don’t call it death…they call it “going elsewhere.” It is a society where only the “best” people are kept. Those...

As a two-time breast-cancer survivor, Eve Sanchez Silver once supported the Susan G. Komen organization in her personal fight against a disease affecting hundreds of thousands of U.S. women each year. But when she found out while serving on the group’s National Hispanic/Latina Advisory Council that Komen was giving money to Planned Parenthood, the nation’s No. 1 abortion provider, she knew she had a problem.“Here was a breast-health organization — a very life-affirming organization, from my perspective — funding an organization that essentially kills people. I couldn’t understand why they thought that was okay.” Sanchez Silver, a retired medical-research analyst...

Rep. Rodney Frelinghuysen, who is seeking an 11th term in Congress in the Nov. 4 election, struck a moderate note on social issues in a meeting with The Record editorial board, even as he criticized President Obama on many issues. In a wide-ranging interview on Thursday, Frelinghuysen, R-Harding Township, said he favors exploring alternatives to a regional water authority’s plan to drain three Garret Mountain reservoirs — two of them in Woodland Park, at the eastern edge of his 11th District – and replace them with concrete tank farms. He called the scenic New Street and Great Notch reservoirs in...

The Gospel of life must be proclaimed, and human life defended in all places and all times. The arena for moral responsibility includes not only the halls of government, but the voting booth as well. (American Bishops, “Living the Gospel of Life”)by Bishop Thomas Tobin: Prior to the recent primary election I received a heartfelt letter from a member of the Diocese who had just discovered that the candidate for whom she had intended to vote was “pro-choice and for same-sex marriage.” She wrote: “Dear Bishop Tobin, for whom do I vote? Do I vote at all?”I responded to my...

Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- A further examination of the new annual report Planned Parenthood recently released finds the abortion business is still the largest in the United States. As in previous years, the number of abortions it does has gone up and roughly 25 percent of all abortions in the United States are done at Planned Parenthood centers. The report shows that Planned Parenthood did 289,750 abortions, an increase over the 264,943 abortions it did during the 2005-2006 fiscal year. That's a whopping nine percent increase even though the number of abortions nationally are on the decline. "It claims to...
