A 6-month-old from Hawaii was mauled to death Monday by her family's pit bull. Layla Tsuda, who said she was with the girl, told KHON-TV that the baby was playing in a baby walker inside their home in northwest Las Vegas valley when she was attacked. A Florida pitbull freaked out on its family, hospitalizing two of them, when they attempted to put a Christmas sweater on him. The dog, named Scarface, attacked its owner Brenda Guerrero when she went to put the garment on him and then bit her husband, Ismael Guerrero when he struggled to wrestle the angry dog off of his wife, WFTS reported. Several communities across the country have enacted breed bans on pit bulls, but now a police department in New York is taking a closer look at the breed.
