PHILADELPHIA (AP) — A federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit challenging Barack Obama's qualifications to be president. U.S. District Judge R. Barclay Surrick on Friday night rejected the suit by attorney Philip J. Berg, who alleged that Obama was not a U.S. citizen and therefore ineligible for the presidency. Berg claimed that Obama is either a citizen of his father's native Kenya or became a citizen of Indonesia after he moved there as a boy.

Just saw scrolling at the bottom of Fox News info about the Berg lawsuit and the questioning of Obama's eligibility. At least it is getting out in the media.

The 2008 election cycle has been a busy one for legal disputes over the qualifications of presidential candidates, with federal cases having been filed to challenge both major candidates’ eligibility under the “natural born Citizen” clause. Standing requirements and the political question doctrine make it unlikely that a federal court will reach the merits in cases of the type filed to date.

The enigmatic phrase “natural born citizen” poses a series of problems for contemporary originalism. New Originalists, like Justice Scalia, focus on the original public meaning of the constitutional text. The notion of a “natural born citizen” was likely a term of art derived from the idea of a “natural born subject” in English law—a category that most likely did not extend to persons, like Senator McCain, who were born outside sovereign territory. But the Constitution speaks of “citizens” and not “subjects,” introducing uncertainties and ambiguities that might (or might not) make McCain eligible for the presidency.

Not sure if this has been posted prior: I guess the time has come to set the story about Obama Kenya Birth Certificate. I hosted Phil Berg on our No Obama Talk show on August 21, 2008. We then had Phil back on August 28, 2008. At that time I was contacted by one of the HCSFJM member by phone who told me that they were a importer/exporter and they had connection in Kenya. I talked to this person and also talk to Phil about it. We then discussed a plan on how to get the BC to the USA....

Illuminati Films has produced a 10 minute video in which Phil J. Berg is interviewed. Mr. Berg lays out his case in Berg v. Obama, and explains why it is important for the case to be resolved quickly. In his argumentation, Mr. Berg points out that Senator Obama could settle the lawsuit immediately by producing the proper documents to prove Obama is a natural-born citizen as required by our constitution.

Now, that person, Berg, is not exactly the most reliable source in the world. He is, for instance, a Truther. As such, I consider it highly likely that the issue will proven to be utterly false. The issue raised about Obama living in Indonesia and going to school there, by the way, is interesting. The records show that Obama went to school there as Barry Saturo, that his official religion was Islam and that his nationality was Indonesia.
