  • Illegal Immigration Sanctuary Advocates Silent on San Francisco Killing

As journalists wrote article after article bashing Donald Trump, who said that both "good people" and "people that have lots of problems" cross our border illegally, a five-times-deported illegal alien from Mexico with seven felonies on his record allegedly killed Kathryn Steinle in the sanctuary city of San Francisco. Politicians and activist groups that have been very vocal in promoting sanctuary policies in recent years are suddenly saying next to nothing about Steinle's death or suspect Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez (who has confessed to the killing, but now claims it was an accident). Similarly, many of the journalists who leapt to...

Sure he is.... Between November 1, 2013 and October 31, 2014, there have been 4,317 charges of child sexual assault filed against illegal aliens in North Carolina, according to the citizens advocacy group known as NCFIRE. 12 months, 4,300 charges of sexual assault on kids by illegal invaders. In one state. So you're "offended" that Donald Trump made a point of this eh? How about the kids who were assaulted? How do they feel about our black-hearted President and the entire US Congress that refuses to stop the invasion of people who sexually abused them?
  • Perry Emerges as a Leading Anti-Trump Voice in GOP

Former Gov. Rick Perry, looking to break through in a crowded Republican field for president, is positioning himself as a leading voice against billionaire businessman Donald Trump, whose weeks-old candidacy is already causing headaches for the GOP. Perry, who has kept a low public profile over the past week or two, delivered a speech Thursday at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., that was remarkable in its own right. He emphatically urged his party to work harder to connect with black voters and suggested the GOP has occasionally focused too much on state rights at the expense of civil...

Presidential hopeful Rick Perry on Thursday urged the Republican Party to do more to court black voters in the 2016 elections. "When we gave up on trying to win the support of African-Americans, we lost our moral legitimacy as the party of Lincoln, as the party of equal opportunity for all," the former Texas governor said. "I'm here to tell you that it's Republicans, not Democrats, who are truly offering black Americans the hope for a better life for themselves and their children," he added.  Citing improved educational and economic opportunities during his tenure in Texas, Perry said he would...

If you thought violent biker gangs were a relic of the Altamont era, the shootout at a Waco, Texas, restaurant on May 17 might have come as a shock. A long-simmering beef between the Bandidos and Cossacks boiled over into gunfire. When police arrived at the scene, gang members shot at them too, leaving nine bikers dead, 18 people injured, and 170 suspects in police custody. Over 100 weapons have been confiscated. The scale of this incident dwarfs a typical urban gang confrontation, says Harold Pollack, co-director of the University of Chicago Crime Lab and an expert on gangs and...
  • Conservatives Should Be on Board With Jeb Bush express (hahahahahaha)

No, no, no! Another Bush?!” Such was my reaction, and that of many other conservatives, last year when rumors of a potential Jeb Bush 2016 candidacy began to surface. Words like “dynasty” and “legacy” were a constant. “What don’t you like about Jeb?” someone would ask, to which we would sputter the following nonsensical retort: “Hm, well — c’mon, a Bush?” Yet several realities began to dawn upon us: (1) in all the kneejerk reflectiveness against the idea of a Bush, we had hardly evaluated the man on his actual record; (2) the idea of “not another Bush” was a...
  • Social Cons Stiffed at Romney’s Rich Guy Yoga Session

Failed presidential candidate and putative GOP kingmaker Mitt Romney hosted a weekend getaway for his approved list of GOP hopefuls, complete with a dawn yoga session led by Romney’s wife Ann and political reporter Mark Halperin. The weekend offered Mitt’s chosen ones the opportunity to rub shoulders with GOP moneymen. Hardcore social conservatives, however, did not seem to be welcome. Among those missing from the event — sponsored by Romney’s son’s private equity firm Solamere — were Senator Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), Governor Mike Huckabee, Senator Rick Santorum, and Dr. Ben Carson.

It seems every time you turn around, the Hillary Clinton campaign team is attempting to copy Marco Rubio. She scheduled her official campaign announcement the day after him. On Saturday during a campaign event (some of her supporters have laughably attempted to claim this was the “official official” announcement), she brought up a theme of ‘yesterday’, using the song of the same name by the Beatles to proclaim her GOP opponents were all about the past. Ironically, it was a similar theme that Marco Rubio used during his campaign launch. During his announcement he said: “Just yesterday, a leader from...

TEMPE, AZ - A Mexican National has been accused of molesting a 10-year-old girl at a church in Tempe. Hilario Ortiz Baltazar, 45, was booked into jail under suspicion of aggravated assault and molestation of a child on June 7, 2015. The man was arrested on June 7. In interviews with police, the man claimed the girl was being flirtatious with him, but admitted what he did was wrong. He also said he was lonely. He then, according to documents, asked the officer if he could go back to Mexico once the interview was finished.

Rick PerryÂ’s entry into the presidential race draws natural attention to the Texas economy. While Perry was governor, Texas created more than three of every ten new jobs in the entire country. And even though a decline in energy prices has slowed things a bit, over the last four years Texas was the third among the 50 states in job creation. Perry and others credit low taxes and sensible regulation for TexasÂ’ economic success. The Wall Street Journal editorial board agrees. Last week they wrote: The Tax Foundation ranks TexasÂ’s business climate tenth best, and the stateÂ’s growth spurt vindicates...

Marco Rubio bought a bunch of stuff he probably couldn't afford. Welcome to America. So The New York Times has pulled together another hit piece -- this one insinuating that Rubio, who the newspaper evidently believes is the GOP front-runner, is both a reckless spendthrift and a financial failure. The story -- either clumsily or, more likely, deliberately -- confuses offshore fishing boats with "luxury speedboats" and pickup trucks with SUVs to render a distasteful account of Rubio's financial life. But what we really learned is that though Rubio is not great with money, the senator from Florida has relatively...

If you’re a music lover, you may have heard of the so-called “Tristan chord” from Wagner’s opera Tristan und Isolde. Audiences were stunned to hear this infamous harmony when the opera premiered on June 10, 1865 in Munich, Germany. As Tristan turns 150, let’s take a look at what makes the Tristan chord so unique. The “Vorspiel,” or Prelude, to Tristan begins with with a “dissonant” chord. The terms “consonance” and “dissonance,” “music” and “noise” are largely subjective. Now, in an era where our ears can enjoy everything from Chopin to Chick Corea, what our modern ears hear as “consonant”...

---snip--- Sen. Rand Paul is in step with his party on most issues. He’s pro-life, a big backer of gun rights, a small-government conservative and he’s an unabashed critic of President Obama and Hillary Clinton. And yet, Paul is again in the spotlight talking about his disagreements with his own party. For months, Paul has been focused on reducing criminal penalties for drugs. Last week, he blamed GOP hawks for the creation of ISIS. Now, he has succeeded in pulling off a one-man blockade of the Patriot Act. Like his other views, Paul’s stand is no doubt sincere and he...

The impoverished Gaza Strip is a “powder keg” at risk of exploding, Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier said on Monday during a visit to the war-torn territory. […] “We shall only be able to decisively reduce the risks of a fresh escalation if we allow economic development in the Gaza Strip in addition to humanitarian aid and reconstruction,” he said on a visit to Gaza City’s fishing port. That would only be possible “with open borders”—a reference to the tough restrictions on the movement of goods and people that have been imposed by Israel and Egypt. “But none of this will...
  • Perry to Senate Presidential Candidates: Go Home and Run for Governor

Former Texas governor Rick Perry has a message for three of the current Republican White House hopefuls: Run for governor before you run for president. Speaking about Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, and Rand Paul, all three U.S. senators, Perry said in an interview last week with THE WEEKLY STANDARD that he's hearing from GOP voters that they want executive experience. "I’ve had more than one individual say, 'You know what, if you want to be the president of the United States, you ought to go back to your home state and be the governor and get that executive experience before...

Obama Potential Supreme Court Nominee Let Off Cartoon Gunman Because She Wasn’t Sure What “Jihad” Meant The Mohammed cartoon shootings did not turn into a massacre because of the quick actions of police officers on the scene. But if a massacre had occurred, much of the responsibility would rest with Judge Mary H. Murguia. Judge Murguia is a Clinton appointee and has been mentioned as a potential Obama Supreme Court nominee. Her sister, Janet Murguia, heads the racist hate group known as La Raza or The Race, which is closely tied to the Obama White House’s amnesty effort. Her brother,...

Two gunmen were killed and a security guard wounded in an attack outside a controversial Dallas-area event Sunday evening where organizers were holding a contest for cartoons featuring the Muslim prophet Muhammad, police said. The shooting in Garland, a Texas suburb about 20 miles from Dallas, was preceded by messages from two social media accounts that supported extremist Islamic viewpoints. One tweet, sent at 6:35 p.m., used the hashtag "#texasattack." The user wrote, “May Allah accept us as mujahideen.” Attendees inside the conference didn’t get word about the shooting until 6:50 p.m. -snip- Two social media accounts tweeted messages about...

Two gunmen opened fire Sunday evening outside a contest for cartoons depicting the Prophet Muhammad at Garland ISD's Curtis Culwell Center, police said. The two men pulled up in a vehicle and shot a Garland ISD officer. The men were fatally shot by Garland police, and their bodies remain on the street outside the events center. The security officer's wounds were not believed to be life-threatening, but he had been hospitalized. No one was being allowed to leave the facility, where an art show centering on caricatures of Muhammad was being held. Nearby businesses, including a Walmart and Sam's Club,...

Two House Democrats want the Department of Homeland Security to grant a temporary immigrant status for Nepalese nationals affected by the country's earthquake. Democratic Reps. Al Green (Texas) and Mike Honda (Calif.) have introduced a bill to establish a Temporary Protected Status (TPS) to citizens of Nepal so that they are protected from deportation or detainment. TPS is frequently authorized in conditions that prevent safe return of a country's citizens, such as a civil war or natural disaster. Under the legislation, Nepalese applicants would be eligible for TPS if they had been legally present in the U.S. since April 25,...
