I clicked through MSNBC last night as saw Swift Boat Hero O'Neill being interviewed by Pat Buchanan. O'Neill usually provides some new insight into the filthy lies and distortions that Traitor John ("Viet Cong") Kerry spreads. With Pat was a blonde guy named Lawrence Sanders (Saunders?) who was labeled as some sort of MSNBC correspondant. He may have been drinking. As O'Neill presented his litany of irrefutable fact, overwhelming proof of Kerry's mendacity and the refusal of Kerry to respond to any of these facts, Sauders started screaming, at the top of his lungs, "Liar." He was raving! Of course, he had...

Last week Ted Koppel's "Nightline" aired a report using the testimony of three Viet Cong communist veterans, who detailed their version of John Kerry's actions that won him his Silver Star. To oppose them, Koppel had Swift Boat Veterans for Truth's leader, John O'Neill, as a guest. Interestingly, the program ignored the fact that Kerry's own recollections, noted in previous books, directly contradicted the stories told by the Viet Cong terrorists, who were on the program to help Kerry. The accounts also differed from the recollections of other Swift Boat veterans. ABC's "Nightline" feature was so slanted in Kerry's favor...

At then endo of last night's "The Capitol Gang, Al Hunt decided to go after John O'Neill during his "Outrage of the Week." Here is the trasncript from CNN:____________________________________________________________________________ HUNT: John O'Neill, who first appeared as a Chuck Colson pawn to discredit John Kerry 33 years ago has reemerged, this time as the pawn of rich Bush backers. He's co-authored a book with a vicious bigot that tries to smear Kerry's Vietnam record again. ABC's "Nightline" sent a crew to Vietnam and actually found a few Vietnamese who corroborated some of the official counts and all first- hand witnesses of...

On 9/12/2004 I watched the Kerry Lied Rally on C-SPAN. It an until about 4:30PM EST. Immediately after, they ran a segment with John O'Neill talking about his book at length. In the Q&A afterwards he mentioned that there had been some kind of legal action taken against Kerry.

On Sunday, October 17 at 6:00 pm and at 11:45 pm ET -------------------------------------------------------- Interview with Douglas Brinkley, Author of "Tour of Duty: John Kerry and the Vietnam War" followed by segment featuring John O'Neill, author of "Unfit for Command" Description: Douglas Brinkley talks about how he came to write "Tour of Duty," the research he conducted for the book, and the criticism he has received from groups like Swift Boat Veterans for Truth. The interview is followed by a talk given by John O'Neill, co-author of "Unfit for Command: Swift Boat Veterans Speak Out Against John Kerry."

While I have a tremendous amount of respect for Ted Koppel and ABC News I was appalled to learn that ABC News would go to the lengths of traveling to Vietnam to interview three Viet Cong communists in yet a third attempt by ABC to corroborate John Kerry’s version of the events that took place on February 28th, 1969.

Seemingly in response to Mark Halperin’s Call to Arms to get John Kerry elected, Ted Koppell went on the offensive on Thursday against the Swiftboat Vets in an attempt to discredit their claims that John Kerry embellished his war record to seek medals. Koppell focused on just one incident where he felt he had good evidence to directly contradict the Swiftboat Vets claims. Unfortunately for Koppell, the “evidence” he cited was testimony from Vietnamese peasants given under the watchful gaze of Communist Government minders. I don’t know if Mr. Koppell has ever been in such a situation himself, but I...

Did the Vietcong witnesses say that the man Kerry shot was a grown man and dressed in the kind of garb the VC usually wore. Not a teenager in a loin cloth? Important I get the actual words. If my memory is correct they said something along this line. Why important? Remember Koppel said that someone from the Swiftboats had tried to interview these people and said negative things about Kerry? I just read the Epilogue to "Unfit for Command". On page 17 Rood, (Chicago editor who came forward to support Kerry), described the victim as a "grown man, dressed...

The US Federal Communications Commission does not have authority to step in to stop a television network airing a film that attacks Senator John Kerry for his anti-Vietnam War activities. "Don't look to us to block the airing of a program. I don't know of any precedent in which the commission could do that," the chairman, Michael Powell, said on Thursday. Blocking the program "would be an absolute disservice to the First Amendment and I think it would be unconstitutional if we attempted to do so." Nineteen Democratic senators and 85 Democratic House members wrote to Mr Powell this week,...

After seeing John O'Neill handle the media's attacks very well and how well spoken he is, should the Republicans ask him to run for public office. This guy is a class act and has handled the attacks he has had against him with ease. The Swift Vote Vets for Truth has been well organized and could be the downfall of John Kerry. Would Freepers love to see this guy run for Congress? Does anyone know his social views? Is he a "true conservative?"

O'Neil is taking Ted Koppel apart right now and Koppel is trying to keep him from talking. this is real good.

The following statement from John O'Neil, member of Swift Boat Veterans and POW's for Truth, concerns a news segment that aired on October 14th on ABC's Nightline with Ted Koppel. "While I have a tremendous amount of respect for Ted Koppel and ABC News I was appalled to learn that ABC News would go to the lengths of traveling to Vietnam to interview three Viet Cong communists in yet a third attempt by ABC to corroborate John Kerry's version of the events that took place on February 28th, 1969. Pity the mainstream media, which apparently fell asleep for the last four years and have woken to discover a brand new world. This time it's ABC's turn for embarassment, as their attempted attack on the Swiftvets has foundered on the shoals of a thousand fact-checkers -- and the calm determination of John O'Neill: Nightline traveled to Vietnam and found a number of witnesses who have never been heard from before, and who have no particular ax to grind for or against Kerry. Only one of them, in fact, even knew who Kerry is. The witnesses, all Vietnamese, are still living...

The Swift Boat Controversy: New Witnesses October 14, 2004 John Kerry's service in Vietnam has become a campaign issue. The group calling itself Swift Boat Veterans for Truth alleges that Kerry has distorted the truth about what happened during the war and questions whether he deserved the medals he received. Tonight, you'll hear from eyewitnesses who have not spoken before: the Vietnamese who fought against him. We've had the debates and the race is a virtual dead-heat. This is the part of a campaign when there are daily fires--issues that rise, flare, and then go away, only to be replaced...

Monday, October 11, 2004. -- New York-based ReganBooks today unveiled an anti-Bush book, Unfit Commander, in an apparent effort to capitalize on the hyper-successful anti-Kerry book by Regnery Publishing, Unfit for Command. Surprisingly, ReganBooks, a generally highly regarded publisher, lifted virtually every aspect of the Regnery book's appearance -- the title, colors, layout, font, even the finger-pointing style of the picture used on the jacket all mimic Regnery's effective cover. Perhaps the imitation should come as no surprise, given the success of Unfit for Command. Sources at Regnery (a HUMAN EVENTS sister company) say that almost 500,000 copies of Unfit...

This is an excerpt from the book Unfit for Command, copyright 2004 by John O'Neill and Jerome Corsi. The excerpt begins on page 117 at the subtitle of "Skid Row." "Skid Row" Marine First Lieutenant Jim Warner had had a rough time, even for a POW in the gulag of North Vietnam in the spring of 1969. Having been interrogated and tortured for four months by the North Vietnamese, who threatened to hold him after the war for trial as a war criminal, Warner (once the proud backseat navigator of a Phantom jet) had just been transferred by the...

...[T]here is a character issue that has firmly attached itself to the Massachusetts senator. An open letter to Mr. Kerry signed by 197 officers and men who served with him in Vietnam -- the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth -- charges that, "you have deceived the public, and in the process have betrayed honorable men, to further your personal political career." It is not nothing to have almost 200 men you served with, of various political persuasions, call you a liar.... "Unfit for Command" ...charges the senator with unprincipled fakery about his Vietnam record, has been flying off the bookshelves....

Next Sunday, Kitty Kelley's anti-Bush book, "The Family," will knock John O'Neill's Kerry-bashing book, "Unfit for Command," off the top spot on the New York Times best-seller list. Perhaps that's good news for the Kerry campaign. But it's more bad news for political discourse. Both books are unfit to read. (I've read them both.) Mr. O'Neill's hatred for John Kerry, nurtured over three decades, oozes out of every page of "Unfit for Command" and makes it difficult to take the book seriously. Perhaps his account of what happened on the Bay Hap River -- he says Mr. Kerry "fled the...

My lawyer readers will immediately recognize this as an invitation to Kerry supporters to make a motion for partial summary judgment on the SwiftVets' claims. This short paragraph from a New York Times article perfectly illustrates the liberal media's widespread characterization of the results to date of the SwiftVets' campaign (boldface added): Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, which drew national attention with advertisements making unsubstantiated attacks against Mr. Kerry's military service, has less money and uses several strategies to stretch its dollars, said one of its leaders, John O'Neill. To find a similar example from the blogosphere, one need look...

The book that turned the 2004 presidential race on its head - "Unfit for Command," by John O'Neill and Jerome Corsi - has yet to be formally reviewed by the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times and most other mainstream U.S. newspapers, despite sitting atop the New York Times best seller list now for four weeks in a row. Next week "Unfit's" reign at the top ends, at least in the New York paper, with Kitty Kelley's book on the Bush family "dynasty" supplanting it in the number one spot. But while the O'Neill-Corsi book was...

More from the ONeill protest on Saturday. About 15 protesters gathered for two hours today outside the home of John O'Neill, a Houston attorney who co-wrote "Unfit for Command," a new book that questions Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry's military service. "Who in their right mind would attack a veteran who actually volunteered to go to Vietnam?" protester John Cobarruvias asked. "Attacking a veteran who went to war, who got shot at, is wrong." O'Neill wasn't home Saturday because his daughter was getting married. In a statement, he said he thought it would have been more appropriate for protesters "to read the book and then engage in...

Take a second to read through the astonishing postings (link below) on Borders unions website. As you will see... the attached postings are primarily from really annoyed liberals, and a couple of them refer to ongoing tactics to keep UNFIT FROM COMMAND away from the public. Here's one example: "We're 'finding' that most of the few copies we're getting are damaged and need to be sent back, so sad. Too bad, Bushies! Regnery needs to be more careful. This is an excerpt from the book Unfit for Command, copyright 2004 by John O'Neill and Jerome Corsi. The excerpt begins on page 79 immediately under the subtitle of "Ambush." A couple of days before his second Purple Heart, Kerry was also operating with Bob Hildreth, officer in charge of the accompanying boat. It was a day Hildreth would never forget. Kerry was the lead boat, with Hildreth behind. There was a small hole in a line of fishing stakes. Kerry's boat slipped through first. When Hildreth's boat started through, a mine went off, and then at least five rockets...

It was a great day in Beverly Hills when I finally got there. Stinking L.A. traffic was worse than usual, and a one-hour trip became a two-hour trip. Well, I guess it was okay. In stop and go traffic, it gave the tolerant libs more of an opportunity to flip me off in the DFU rolling campaign mobile. Upon arriving at the hotel, a valet opened my door and then called for the other valets to "check this out." They particularly liked the magnetic sign that had a picture of W on the ranch and Kerry climbing out the the...

John O'Neill's recorded interview will be broadcast on 50,000 watt KFI in Los Angeles on Wednesday morning. The show is the Bill Handel show. Handel is the guy who banned me from his show for calling Clinton a rapist on the air. The truth hurts. I shared some emails with his producer, challenging him to get the story right. Steven Gardner has been on talk radio, and Handel had not realized or did not want to realize that Kerry phonied up the report. Let's see how it goes in the morning. To listen on the internet: KFI.
